Yes, I know, I know, show 1 isn't quite done yet, but I'd like to try to be able to do that bit at the end where we announce the next night's contestants, so here this is ahead of schedule.
Some rules clarifications/changes from show 1: -Ask the Audience now lasts for 24 hours instead of 48. -Phone-a-Friends must respond in thread within 24 hours - if they don't respond or refuse (politely or otherwise) to take part, it's a wasted lifeline. If you want to have someone as a Phone-a-Friend, check with them sooner rather than later. -Fastest Finger First is likely (but not guaranteed yet) to start using buzzcodes (see the thread in the announcements section for more info).
Some contestant eligibility guidelines: If you sat in the Hot Seat in episode 1, please allow other people 48 hours before taking a spot in the Ring of Fire again. Everyone else (even last show's Fastest Finger contestants) are eligible to apply from the get-go.
We need six more players for night 2 of the return of Millionaire - who wants to go for the million?

Two notes:
1) Fastest Finger First *will* use buzzcodes from this point forward. 2) Anybody who sat in the Hot Seat last time is now eligible for another go.
We still need two more players, all that said.

And away we go! (cue hastily thrown together highlight reel) (cue music) Me (V/O): Last night on Who Wants to be a Millionaire......and the winner, in lightning fast time, is Jonathan Laster! --- It's good for a thousand dollars, well done! --- ...two thousand dollars! ($2,000 win cue, applause and a couple cheers as the lights go up)
...four grand! ($4,000 win cue, applause and a few more cheers as the lights go up) --- I’m thinking A but let’s ask the audience please --- You know what... let’s go for C. Final ...you've just won $16,000! ($16,000 win cue, cheers and applause as the lights go up)
--- (jump ahead) --- (jump again) ...our winner is Matt Ringgenberg! --- --- ...our winner, by the looks of it, is Sergio Roman Rodriguez! (win cue, cheers and applause as Sergio joins me at center stage) --- (jump) Anyway, C: The Regulators. Final Answer. (cue theme music as an updated version of the 10th anniversary intro with clips from around the world and throughout the show's history plays) (and then we cut to the set as the famous music plays - cheers and applause as Sergio and I walk out to the hot seat and the music finishes) Hello, everybody, and welcome to night 2 of the 20th Anniversary week of Millionaire. As you just saw there, just before time ran out last night, tonight's first contestant Sergio Roman Rodriguez won himself $64,000, and he'll be looking to make even more money in just a minute here. Sergio, do you have a game plan going into the last few questions?

I'm looking forward to these four remaining questions, and my friends in the audience are proud of me for having a fantastic knowledge.

I mean, it's gotta be good knowledge if it's won you $64,000.
So how have you been since last night's show, knowing you're coming out of this at least $32,000 richer?

Everything is going well. I'm not sure if I take the million, but at least I have three of my friends in the audience.

Well hey, you never know what's going to happen - maybe you will take the million tonight. We'll find out as we keep moving ahead... (Rules cue)[----][---][AtA][---] | 15 $1 MILLION | 14 $500,000 | 13 $250,000 | 12 $125,000 | 11·$64,000 | 10·$32,000 | 9 · $16,000 | 8 · $8,000 | 7 · $4,000 | 6 · $2,000 | 5 · $1,000 | 4 · $500 | 3 · $300 | 2 · $200 | 1 · $100 |
Now Sergio, you're just four questions away from the million. You know each question you get right is worth more money, and you know if you get a question wrong, you drop down to your last safe point, which in your case is $32,000. You've still got your Ask the Audience left... (ping!) ...and of course, you have the option of walking away with what you've got at any time. I think that about covers it, are you ready to keep going?

How about you, audience? (Audience cheers and applauds) Then let's play Who Wants to be a Millionaire! (Lights down cue)Here is question 12 of a possible 15 - this is worth $125,000... ($125,000 music plays)Which trained professional would use a theodolyte in the course of their work?
A. Sea captain | B. Surgeon | C. Graphic designer | D. Surveyor |
|
|
|
Post by romnserg on May 31, 2018 13:07:49 GMT -5
I know that a theodolyte can't be used by a sea captain, and neither by a surgeon... But one of my friends in the audience has used it once... I'm between C & D.

I bet you're wishing you still had the 50:50 right now. You still do have help available if you need it.
Take your time on this. A wrong answer here would cost you $32,000 - but it's worth life-changing money if you get it right.

Post by romnserg on May 31, 2018 13:21:22 GMT -5
At first, I thought that a theodolite is used by graphic design. But after looking through my eyes and been focused to that knick-knack. I would make a dumb mistake. So to avoid that, i'll say D: Surveyors. Final Answer.

($125,000 final answer)Which trained professional would use a theodolyte in the course of their work?
A. Sea captain | B. Surgeon | C. Graphic designer | D. Surveyor |
My goodness, talk about zigging and zagging... You ruled out A and B very quickly. Both of those would have cost you $32,000. After a bit more deliberation, you went with D. Sergio... ...it's a surveyor, you've done it again! ($125,000 win cue, cheers and applause) Which trained professional would use a theodolyte in the course of their work?
A. Sea captain | B. Surgeon | C. Graphic designer | D. Surveyor
|
$125,000 ($250,000 lights down cue)The stakes are getting dizzyingly high now - still one lifeline with three questions to go. I just want to remind you that if you go for this next one and miss, it would cost you almost $100,000. You do not have to play this, but at least have a look at your quarter-million dollar question... ($250,000 question cue plays)From which country did the United States purchase the Virgin Islands?
A. Great Britain | B. Spain | C. Denmark | D. Morocco

Ugh, one mistake and I would drop $93,000. Let's use the last lifeline which is: Ask the Audience.

(Ask the Audience music plays as the lights go up) Alright, Ask the Audience it is... Audience, the time is now, the place is here. There's a quarter million dollars on the line! You have the question and the four possible answers, so using your keypads, vote NOW! (The poll will end and the game will continue in about 24 hours.)
