(audience applauding and cheering on Sam as we step into the elevator and select his floors) (click click click click click click) It's as short a hop as possible as we rise one level to the first floor... (ding ding) Antonio found the million bucks on his first selection -- your first choice of the right side of the first floor got you...
(bling) (audience ooooooos) ...considerably less than a million, but more importantly, it's a DO-OVER CARD! (ding) Now, let's find out what you eliminated on the other side of the first... ...a good elimination, one of the "Nothing" spaces that literally gives nor takes anything away from you.
Well Sam, just a few thousand dollars to start, but as long as you don't hit a "GAME OVER", you can choose to start your turn over either right now, or on any of the next 4 floors that we visit. The DO-OVER card expires once we leave the 15th floor heading for the 20th floor.
So, we can head on up to the 5th or start over right now if you like. What's your thoughts on this situation?

You got it, Sam...here we go...up 4 floors to the fifth... (ding ding) You went with the right side of this floor this time...let's hope for a large amount here...let's light up that podium...
(bling) (scattered groans from the crowd) Hmm, well, certainly not the time that we wanted to see that space show up, although with 4 floors to go, the possibility of surpassing Antonio's total still exists. If you had chosen the left side twice in a row, you'd have ended up with... (bling) (scattered applause)
...well, some city bus fare. So, it was the correct side of the floor, but at the wrong time. Still though, 3 of the 4 positive percentages are in play, all of the large dollar amounts are still in play, but of course, "GAME OVER" and all the negative percentages remain in play as well.
What do you think, Sam? Up to the 8th to continue or down to the lobby to start over?

Ok, so Sam is cashing in his DO-OVER card and we'll head back down to the lobby and start again. Being the curious sort that I am though, let's see what might have been had he continued. The 8th floor would have resulted in... ...another grand -- nothing there, really. From there, the 13th would have yielded you... (audience groans slightly) ...well, a 6-digit total had you chose the other side. So far, starting over seems to be the right move Sam, but let's check the last two floors... (audience ooooos) Well, a nice chunk of change there on the 15th, but still well short of Antonio...and finally, the 20th floor was worth... (audience aaaaaaaahs) ...well look at that -- Antonio picked it first and you picked it last!! Well Sam, good decision there to start over! $1.5 million would probably have been a great score on another day, but not in this match! So let's reset the board and shuffle the values randomly across the 21 floors and head back down to the lobby. (ding ding)
(audience applauds as Sam and I step out of the elevator and the doors close behind us)
Okay Sam -- take 2 -- you can use the same picks as the first time or give me 6 new floors and sides -- it's your choice. What would you like?

Alright Sam, let's see if we can't take a good run at this! Let's prep that elevator with your 6 new floor selections... (click click click click click click)
...and here we go with your second chance at possibly winning this match...three floors up we go... (ding ding) Your first selection this time around is the left side of the floor and that is worth...
(bling) (audience aaaaaaahs) ...just 500 bucks. Once again, not the greatest start, but all the big money is still in play. On the right side of the 3rd, we had... (bling) (scattered applause) ...only eight dollars, so at least your $492 better than you could have been at least! Let's head on up to the 8th floor now... (ding ding) This time, you went on the right side for your choice and for that, you get...
(bling) (audience oooooohs) ...a floor removal! So, the 6th floor is now out of play -- you didn't choose it, but let's find out which selections are now removed from the board! (bling...bling) (audience murmurs) Well, it's a shame that one of the DO-OVER spaces is out of play, but there was nothing too devastating on the 6th floor at least. On the left side of the 8th, we find... (bling) (audience cheers and applauds) ...the "GAME OVER" sign!! This is good stuff Sam -- once again, we know you'll get through the 6 floors with some kind of score at least! Now, let's look for some loot up on the 10th floor... (ding ding) You went with the right side again -- let's hope it's also the correct side -- 10R nets you... (bling) (scattered applause) ...another buck and a quarter. Over on the left, we find... (bling) (audience groans)
...a tough elimination, but Antonio achieved his total without that space, so there's that.
Well Sam, with no DO-OVER card this time and with you trailing considerably, obviously we're going on to visit those final 3 floors. Despite the small total so far, there's lots of good stuff still up there -- all the big dollar amounts are there, the 3 largest positive percentages are still there as well as the space that was key for Antonio, which was the "Add a 1" space that gave him his initial 8-digit score. The other good thing right now is having that "GAME OVER" off the board.
So, before we proceed up to the 14th Sam, what are your thoughts on this DO-OVER so far?

Worst than I've expected.... hope I get a million then grab the Add a 1 and maybe +100% if I'm lucky enough.

Yeah, we pretty much need this next floor to be a big number or we need to find another DO-OVER card soon. Let's head to the 14th and see what's what... (ding ding) We're trying the left side of the floor this time around and the left side of the 14th floor contains... (bling) (audience groans and aaaaaaaaaahs) ...nothing! This is a bummer, Sam -- we're in desperate need of another DO-OVER at this point. Across the hall, we had... (bling) ...next to nothing as well. Even if you got the million and the "Add a 1" on the last two floors, that would still be more than $5 million short of Antonio's score, so your fate now hinges on finding some type of DO-OVER. Let's hope for the best as we continue up the tower... (ding ding) You went left as well here on the 17th and for that, you got...
(bling) (audience aaaaaaaaahs) ...a few hundred bucks more, but not what we were looking for. 17R contained... (bling) (audience groans) ...ugh Sam, it just keeps getting worse this time around, although it doesn't really matter at this point, I suppose. Let's think positively as we head to the penthouse looking for that ultimate DO-OVER card! If we find "RANDOM 4" up there, you can cash it in immediately for a 3rd attempt! (ding ding) Ok Sam, this is it -- we must uncover "Random 4" right now, otherwise, Antonio wins the first Finalist Match! You took the right side of the 21st floor this time...that gets you...
(bling) (groans and aaaaaahs from the audience) ...nothing helpful, I'm afraid! Over on the left side, we had... (bling) ...just $16, so at least you know that you didn't select the wrong side of a possible DO-OVER. Well, with the total that Antonio had, beating him was going to be tough and the two of you are perfect examples of how the tower can be generous to one person, yet miserable to the next! Unfortunately Sam, we have to head back down to the lobby and make it official. (ding ding) (audience gives Sam a warm round of applause as we exit the elevator, the doors close behind us and we join Antonio awaiting us in the lobby)
Well gentlemen, that was an epic first match of our show! As easy as things were for you Antonio, they were equally as challenging for Sam. Let's have your closing thoughts on the match, beginning with you Antonio -- do you think your total will hold up through the next match and put you in the Final?

That is very true Antonio, although if you can just avoid the "GAME OVER" from now on, you're guaranteed to leave here a millionaire, even if you lose your next match!
Sam, I'm sure you're disappointed with this, but the positive way to look at it is that you could still end up as our Champion! You'll be playing in the Last Chance match here in a bit -- win that and then win the Semi-Final and who knows, it could be a re-match against Antonio in the Final for all the loot! How does that sound?

Well, we shall see how this plays out. For now, here's a look at the current scoreboard on our show... (ding) Money marked in green is eligible for a payout whereas red is not. Sam, you will take on either Kevin or Patseen in the Last Chance Match a little later on and Antonio, we have penciled you into the Final for now, but if Kevin or Patseen surpass your total from this match, you'd be moved down to the Semi-Final.
For now though gentlemen, we'll send you back to the Green Room so you can watch how our second Finalist match plays out. Let's hear it for Antonio and Sam, folks! (audience applauds as they walk towards the back of the studio and out of the shot)
One finalist match down and one to go! Kevin and Patseen will join me...right after this message! You're watching the Tower Challenge here on NGC! (audience applauds as the camera pans the studio, zooms out and fades to black)

(fade in with applause as the camera zooms in on Kevin, Patseen and myself)
Welcome back, everyone -- I'm here with our competitors for the second Finalist match and guys, Antonio has certainly set the bar extremely high. Even if you have enough to defeat your opponent in this match, you'll have to weigh the option of continuing on to try for an 8-digit score of your own, or if not, settle for a spot in the Semi-Final.
Are you gentlemen up for the challenge and ready to proceed?

I guess Kevin has nothing to say on the subject, but I do need a response from you now Kevin, being as you are the higher seed in this second Finalist match. You have the choice of taking on the tower first or second. Which would you prefer please, sir?

In that case Patseen, we'll ask you to stand by in the Green Room please and we'll call you back out shortly once Kevin's turn is over. A round of applause for Patseen Punsiri, folks! (audience applauds as Patseen walks towards the back of the stage and out of the shot) Kevin, the tower awaits us. Please select your 6 floors and sides and we'll get the second Finalist Match underway.

Ok Kevin, let's click those buttons... (click click click click click click)
...and up we go to the 6th floor... (ding ding) ...where you went with the left side of this floor -- and when we light that podium up, let's see what we get...
(bling) (audience oooooooooooohs) ...a great selection, actually! It's the perfect time to choose that one! Across the hall, we had... (bling) (audience applauds) ...a second negative percentage! Well, despite the lack of money, that's an excellent start, Kevin!! Let's head up to our next floor... (ding ding) ...which is another purple-lighter floor. You went right this time and that got you...
(bling) (audience groans) ...nutin! Well, let's hope there's not sumin good on the left...this time, we eliminate... (bling) (audience oooooooohs) ...one of the positives! Well, at least there's still 3 out of 4 positives in play. Still no cash on the board though, but let's head to the eleventh and see what's what. (ding ding) You went right side again on this one, so let's check that out -- to quote Jerry Maguire -- show me the money!
(bling) (audience murmurs) Well, it showed us some money alright -- enough for a train ride somewhere, maybe. 11L was concealing... (bling) (audience groans)
...the "Add a 1". Well, not a great beginning money-wise Kevin, but still lots of goodies available including all the do-overs and all the large amounts. Of course, the "GAME OVER" is still in play, too. It most likely goes without saying, but the rules state I must ask you...stop with $250 or shall we proceed and visit the remaining floors?

On we go! (ding ding) The left side of the third floor was your next selection...are we getting some big moolah this time?
(bling) (audience chuckles) ...a whole eight bucks!! Across the hall, we had... (bling) (audience chuckles) ...one buck! Wow, only $9 total on this floor! Well, better than "GAME OVER" at least. Let's move on up to the 20th! (ding ding) We're staying left side again...let's light up podium 20L please...
(bling) (audience applauds) ...oh, it's an Ultimate Do-Over!! (ding) Let's check the other side before we assess the situation... (bling) (audience applauds)
...nothing over there.
So, an interesting situation here, Kevin. A normal DO-OVER card would force you to decide right now whether to start over or not, but the ULTIMATE version which you have means you can use it anytime. So, we can head down to the lobby and start over right now, or we can visit the 17th and then you can decide, or after visiting the 17th floor, you could keep your score, let Patseen play and if he beats you, then you could use it to start over. Of course, the "GAME OVER" is still a threat -- if we find that on the 17th, it is game over and bye bye DO-OVER.
Decisions, decisions. What shall we do, Kevin?

(audience murmurs) Oh boy...let's hope we don't find the "GAME OVER" at this last stop! Down to the 17th we go... (ding ding) ...and for the 3rd selection in a row, you went left side. Light it up, please!
(bling) (audience aaaaaahs) Well, no harm no foul as it turns out. You finish with $59,405. Across the hall on this floor, what did we have? (bling) Well in this case, just $45 since you already have a DO-OVER card.
So Kevin, we're headed to the lobby one way or the other, but are we recording this score and then waiting to see what Patseen does or would you like to just toss the fifty-nine grand and change out the window and start over right now. What's your pleasure please, sir?

Okay, I assume keep going means start over, so we'll wipe your score and back down to the lobby we go... (ding ding) (audience applauds as we arrive back at the lobby)
Alright Kevin, so you are cashing in your DO-OVER and taking another run up the tower. Which floors and sides would you like this time, please?

Let's see if I can do better:
Fourth floor, right side. Fifteenth floor, left side. Eighth floor, left side. Twelfth floor, right side. Nineteenth floor, right side. First floor, right side.

Okay -- into the elevator we go and good luck to you! (audience applauds as we step into the elevator) Let's select your floors... (click click click click click click) ...and up we go to the our first stop on the 4th floor! (ding ding) Do we have a better start this time around? Let's light up that right podium and find out!!
(bling) (audience applauds) Oh yes, a much much better start indeed. Our elimination on this floor is... (bling) (audience murmurs) ...well, not a great one, but still a shot at a large enough total to surpass even Antonio's big total. On we go, up to the 15th! (ding ding) Your choice was the left side this time. Does Kevin add to his total with that choice?
(bling) (audience applauds) Indeed he does! You're close to 4 times as much as you finished with the first time around! Across the hall this time, what did we have? (bling) (audience applauds) A good elimination there, Kevin! One more floor before you have to make a decision, so down we go to the 8th! (ding ding) You went left side again on this floor. What does Kevin pick up for that choice?
(bling) (audience applauds) Well, about a hundred bucks but more importantly, it's another DO-OVER card! (ding) This one is not ultimate however, so it will expire if you don't use it by your 5th selected floor which in this case is the 19th. On the other side this time, what did we have? So Kevin, you must make 1 of 3 choices. You can stop now and take the $189,101 as your score. You can risk that amount by continuing on to the next floor. You can direct me to head down to the lobby, cash in the DO-OVER and we start a 3rd attempt. Keep in mind that the "GAME OVER" remains in play and will wipe out your DO-OVER if you select it on either of the next 2 floors. Which shall it be, sir?

(audience ooooooohs) That's a lot of money to risk -- we'll cross our fingers that the "GAME OVER" isn't lurking on the 12th floor... (ding ding) You chose the right side of the 12th floor -- was coming here a good choice or a bad choice -- please light up that podium!
(bling) (audience murmurs) Well, it's only a few bucks over there. Over on the left, what is now out of play? (bling) (audience groans)
Well, there goes a shot at surpassing Antonio's total, but you don't have to do that to win this match -- you just need to beat Patseen to move on to the Semi-Final.
So, it's the same 3 options here, Kevin. Stop, keep going or start over. The "Add a 0" and the "+100%" are both still in play -- if you found those, that would be a score of just under $4 Million! "GAME OVER" and "-100%" are still lit up too, though. What do you think?
