Greetings, all, and thanks for your patience. We're ready to proceed with Episode 15 of Hot Dice. Some notes...
\ Bill McDee returns with three match wins and $49,350.
\ Think you have what it takes to defeat him? As long as you haven't lost a match of Hot Dice to Bill, you're eligible to play.
...now on to qualifying. The player closest to the right answer, high or low, opposes Bill. And here's your question.
While we were away, we helped Greggo with his anime-themed game shows at Hamacon 6 in Huntsville, Alabama. So, before this episode of Hot Dice, Devon -- one of our dice girls from Crag: The Numbers Game, one of our sister shows -- rolled a pair of Japanese money dice five times. On these money dice, the numbers 1 through 6 were replaced with, respectively, ¥1, ¥5, ¥10, ¥50, ¥100 and ¥500. How much money did she score with the money dice? Please make sure your answer is higher than ¥9 and lower than ¥5001.
This game operates on 24 hour deadlines. Please PM me your answer in 24 hours from now.

(Devon rolls)Ummm -- OK -- we'll gently say she added ¥15 to the pot. Thankfully she had two more rolls to go. (Devon rolls)Better -- in more ways than one. How does she end? (Devon rolls)And there ya go -- ¥867. Who's the closest? ¥1100 mringgenbergMatt Ringgenberg's gonna play the champ -- after station identification.
(contemporary version of following jingle plays) Singers: Eleven -- Eleven Aliiiiiiiive. Well if a question about grocery items pops up, I'm sure you'll be all over it. Trick is -- being fast on the buzzer against our current champ, Bill.
Bill, please reintroduce yourself.

Bill McDee is my name, I am 48 and a half years young, I reside somewhere between Trenton, New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have been married for more than half my life, 24 years and change. We have one son who will soon be turning 16. I am still currently gainfully employed full time as a data entry clerk for a pharmaceutical research firm. In my spare time I enjoy watching vintage television shows, including game shows, I also enjoy writing, and while I don't do this much anymore, I do enjoy bowling, even if it's just watching my son play or watching professionals on television. Lastly (and this can be edited out if necessary), I wanted to thank you for the 11 Alive intro. Next Wednesday will mark the 37th anniversary of the passing of my Father, and some of my fondest memories were watching Yankees baseball games on Channel 11 with my Dad, followed by episodes of "The Honeymooners", so I really appreciate hearing/seeing that station id plug Doug

Great we can bring back fond memories of 11 Alive. Great station in New York City. (ding)Let's begin the match with Game 1. It has six rounds and a catch-up round. Until we reach that catch-up round, each round starts with a toss-up question. Win that question and you'll earn a free roll of the dice. From there, you'll have a chance to add money to a pot -- which you may later bank -- and that's where the fun really begins. Good luck to both of you. First question's a little long so play carefully, please. Mississippi, North Carolina or Ohio. In 2015, truTV aired "Breaking Greenville", a reality series centered around the daily operations of the newsrooms of WABG and WXVT. In which state are the television stations based out of? 11 billmcdee 47 mringgenberg 37 randomizer.org(Matt buzzes in)Matt?

Mississippi is right. (audience applause) Matt, with that right answer, you've earned a free roll of the dice. Go ahead and give 'em a roll. (Matt rolls)(scattered groans) And we start with the ol' Lawrence Welk bit -- a 1 and a 2. Dice total 3. At $100 a point, we seed the first pot of the match with $300. Matt, from now until a new round starts, you're risking everything in the pot every time you roll the dice. Anytime the dice total 7, that's a bust -- meaning you lose everything in the pot and you score nothing for the round. But for each safe roll, we add its value in hundreds of dollars to the pot. Also going forward, we have the double decision board which is now active. Those screens hide thousands of dollars in cash, surprises, some paltry payoffs and even the word "bust" -- which acts as if you rolled a 7. If you roll a double, you'll have the option of playing the roll safely and having us add $100 a point to the pot -- or going to the corresponding screen and hoping for something better. Right now, your decision is this. Bank $300 and start a new round -- or risk the $300 and try to get more. What's your pleasure? (audience shouts suggestions)

Rolls again. Let's see if you can do better than a 3. (Matt rolls)(scattered applause) You did better -- a 5. Pot's up to $800. Bank 'em or roll 'em? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Matt rolls)(mix of groans and applause) Yeah -- just limping into four-digit territory with another puny 3. You're $1100 to the good -- yours for the banking or the risking. (audience shouts suggestions)

(scattered applause) On a show called Hot Dice, those dice were lukewarm at best. But you got $1100 out of this round. That's good going. (ding)Nice thing about this show -- every time you bank money, you keep it. If you're the leading player at the end of the catch-up round, you win the game. Win two games and you go to the Bonus Bonanza where more than $1,000,000 can be won. (audience cheers)Bill, you're back in this. Bill and Matt, here's your next question as we start Round 2. On the sitcom "Hope & Faith", Faith Ford played which title character? 22 billmcdee 19 mringgenberg 36 randomizer.org(Bill buzzes in)Bill?

*Faith* Ford indeed played *Hope* Shanowski on "Hope & Faith". You're right. (audience applause)All right, your first try at the dice. Let's see what happens. (Bill rolls)(scattered groans) And the parade of puny rolls continues. (scattered laughter) Starting off with a 4. No double decision on the free roll. That way we ensure we seed money in the pot -- $400 in this case. Bank the 4 or try for more? (audience shouts suggestions)

No -- you had to go to Japan for that one. Japan has the world's second highest dog population. Matt, you win the question by default. Please take your free roll. (Matt rolls) And you start off with an 8 for $800. Roll again or bank? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Matt rolls)(doubles cue; audience cheers)Ah ha! Snake eyes. It's double decision time. Matt, you could play this as normal and have us add $200 to the pot... ...or go to the double 1 screen on the board and hope for something better. If there's money, we'll add that much to the pot instead of $200. If there's a surprise, we follow the directions. If there's a bust, the 13 bills go bye-bye and we start a new round. What's your double decision? (audience shouts suggestions)
