I have to go for the screen!

(audience cheers)Well, you don't *have* to go for it. But if I were in your shoes, I'd give it a try. Wouldn't it be great to have a hundred grand in that screen? (audience says "yeah"; scatttered cheers) Let's see -- what's in that screen for Matt? (buzz) (scattered groans) A bust. Okay, that'll cost you a coin. You're down to one. You have to roll again after we reshuffle the board. (amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles) All right. Throw a good double this time. Anything but a 5, 7 or 9. (Matt rolls)(louder groans) Ruh-roh. I must take back your final coin, Matt. Dice are coming back to you. You must avoid a 5, 7 or 9 this time or else the bust *will* count. (scattered cheers; a few say "Come on, Matt!") We're on your side, champ. Roll 'em up. (Matt rolls) (bust cue; audience groans)D'OH! Another 7 and that's bombs you out. Sorry about that. Well, Matt, you still have $6850. I congratulate you on that. (audience cheers) Normally, I'd tell you we'd see you on the next show. However, that won't happen -- and here's why. We regret to inform all gathered here in the studio and those watching at home that this is our final episode in the current Hot Dice series. (audience groans) Yes, we've not been picked up for the fall. It appears to really get ahead in syndication, it doesn't take big cash payoffs -- and the runners-up on this show have taken home nice fortunes. Instead, apparently, to make it big in the syndie world, it takes writing questions that lead to naughty answers. Looking at you Steve Harvey and "Family Feud"! (audience laughs and applauds) On the positive side, our sister show, Crag: The Numbers Game, will still be in business. Same can be said for Chain and Match Game/Hollywood Squares. So, I'm not going anywhere -- so you don't go anywhere either, okay? (audience respectfully applauds) Now, Matt, as for you, stick around, please -- because we have a way for you to reclaim that $7000 you just lost -- and then some -- when we return. (audience laughs and applauds)

(audience cheers)If you'd like to be a contestant on Hot Dice, forget it. (audience laughs and applauds)But in all seriousness, we've had one Hot Dice wrap party before. We're about to have another. And -- who knows -- maybe one day down the road Hot Dice will be reborn and we'll be back here at the richest dice table on Earth. (audience cheers)But right now, for this run of Hot Dice, we want to put an exclamation point on this series with Matt Ringgenberg. Matt already has $6850 in his pocket. Matt, we promised you a chance to win back that $7000 you lost in Bonus Bonanza and something else. There's a Mercedes that we talked about earlier. We're not going to be able to award that car to a five-time champ. So we want to give you a *chance* to win that Mercedes. (audience cheers)And here's how. It's a game we'd normally play with a member of the audience. Car Keys is the name of the game. At the bottom of the board, there's the pot with the $7000 you lost earlier. But concentrate, please, on the middle of the board. The numbers 1 through 4 on the board, respectively, hide the letters in the word "KEYS". You'll be only using one dice cube in this game. Roll any number lower than 5 to instantly reveal one of the letters in "KEYS". If you reveal all the letters, you win the car, the car keys *plus* $7000. (audience cheers)But if you roll a number that leads to a letter that's been already revealed, you lose the $7000. Repeat again and the game's over. One more thing -- fives and sixes are wild. If you roll a 5 or 6, you may substitute it for any number that you haven't roll. When you're ready, please give that cube a roll. (Matt, number from 1-100, please. As with Bonus Bonanza, you'll see the result of that roll and, hopefully, the next few down the list.)

(Matt rolls) (scattered cheers) And it's a good start -- one of the wild numbers -- a 5. Matt, do you want to make that a 1 for the K, 2 for the E, 3 for the Y or 4 for the S? (audience shouts suggestions) I should point out fives and sixes are always wild. So, in the lucky event you roll nothing but fives and sixes, the car's automatically yours with $7000 for gas money. With that clarified, how do you play this 5?

All right, we'll make that 5 a 2 and... (ding)...you have the E. Just don't roll another 2 and you'll be fine. Roll again, please. (Matt rolls) (scattered cheers) Okay! The other wild number -- a 6. How do you play it? (audience shouts suggestions)

Turning it into a 1 -- giving you a K. (ding)Roll anything higher than a 2 and you're still in business. (Matt rolls) (buzz) (audience groans) Got a 1 instead -- and thanks to the earlier wild number, you've already rolled a 1. The 7000 bucks are gone -- again -- but you can still win the car. Avoid the 1 and 2, Matt. (Matt rolls) (scattered cheers) Wild number again -- the 6. Choose carefully. Want to make that 6 a 3 or 4?

Calling it a 4. You have the S. (ding)And now it all boils down to this. If you roll a 3, you win the car. If you roll another 5 or 6, we'll call it a 3 -- and you still win the car. Roll anything else -- and you leave here with just $6850 in cash. (scattered cheers; many shout, "Come on, Matt!") We're rooting for you. Let's go out with a bang. (crowd starts chanting, "Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt! Matt!") (Matt rolls) (dings; audience cheers)You've got the car! Now that's a nice way to wrap up this run of Hot Dice. Matt, how do you feel?
