OH it is time to start a new week of Split Decision episodes.
I need for George and for a new challenger to please check in and also to PM to me 11 buzz codes.
All buzz codes should be higher than 0 but lower than 101.
And one minor rule change, in the event of a tie with a buzz code, if one player goes over and one does not, the one who did NOT go over will win the toss up.
In the event of a tie where both players happen to have selected the same exact buzz code, the champion will be the one to be considered first to buzz in.

Frank Caliendo: It's the card game where Ace is always high and Deuce is always low. Turn any two cards in the deck face up, then just try to fit a card in between that's neither higher nor lower. Welcome to the newest, high stakes card game on television. SPLIT DECISION! (Cheering & applause) With your host, Bill McDee! (Cheering & applause) That's me! Good day one and all and welcome to the 11th installment of Split Decision, a game that combines skill, speed, strategy and luck with our ever fickle playing cards that we use! And now let us meet the dealer of the cards, Witney Carson! Good morning Witney. Witney: Good morning Bill, good morning everybody, good morning players and good luck. Back with us for his SIXTH day with winnings of, get this, $78,200 in cash, my co-host, George Cluster! (applause) And back with us is a previous champion who had 3 wins in a row and who previously won $26,625 in cash, Kourtney Wilson! (applause & cheers) Welcome back to both of you, combined winnings well over $100,000 and you'll both be adding to those totals today. Kourtney, as you're here as a "new" player once again, your current winnings are $0 but that will change of course. Witney is presenting you with two decks of cards George... Each deck is a standard deck of 52 regulation playing cards, which have been thoroughly shuffled and sealed under the ever watchful eye of the NBC Standards & Practices department. George, as champion, you get to select which deck we'll use for game one. Kourtney, as challenger, you will get to cut the deck, so please do so by giving me a number higher than 0 but lower than 52.

$125 the value of today's first hand here in game 1. First card... Is a 7. So this first puzzle will be worth $25. Looking for a 4 letter word this time that starts with "H" that connects the split... OVER with TEN... Kourtney you are in first and have until 6:10pm EST on Friday, September 22nd to post your answer.

And for uttering a four-letter word over the airwaves, you win $25 Kourtney! Only in America. And now equally as important, you control the fate of that 7. Remember you're trying to make as wide a split for your own hand as possible while at the same time, if possible, causing your opponent to have as narrow a split as possible. Ace is high, 2 or deuces are low, with that in mind Kourtney, where would you like to place that 7, in your hand, pass it down to George for his hand, or place it in the center as the shared/common card between you?

I am going to pass the 7.

As the old sign on the Pennsylvania Turnpike used to say "TAKE Ticket, GET Ticket". You will take and get that Ace Kourtney! And the common card for this first hand shall be what, Witney? O a six! Fairly decent spread for you Kourtney while our champion George has a very tight squeeze over there. To determine the fate of the next card, and that card will determine who wins this first hand, we play a Hi Lo toss-up game. Kourtney up on this board the cards 2 through Ace will appear, each one is up there and each one is up there only once. I'll ask you to select a pair of numbers and in which order you would like them to be revealed. After we reveal the first card, you will have to decide if you wish to predict whether the second card you selected will be higher or lower than the first card revealed. If it is a tough decision for you to make, you will have the option to pass and force George to make that prediction instead, for a correct prediction will win control of the next card for you, while an incorrect prediction will give control of the hand to your opponent. Obviously Kourtney, if the first card you reveal is either an Ace or a Deuce, you would automatically keep control of the hand. But if your first card chosen is an Ace, and this only applies with the very first pick of the entire board, you will win a $500 bonus, courtesy of our friends at Ace Hardware Stores. When it comes to all of your home repair needs, Ace is the helpful place. Kourtney please select a pair of numbers in the order in which you'd like them to be revealed.

Very well, let's first of all see how many picks there will be for the first hand of our Pot Limit game today... 4. Now what card was under #4? It's a Jack. Kourtney you can choose to predict whether the card under #13 is higher or lower than that Jack, or you can pass and have George call it. What's your pleasure Kourtney?
|
|
|
Post by pathfinder20 on Sept 22, 2023 20:32:07 GMT -5
I am going to call it and say lower.
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on Sept 22, 2023 20:43:42 GMT -5
Very well. Only 3 cards will lose for you here, 9 will win, so the odds are 3 to 1 in your favor. Is #13 lower than that Jack? WHOA NO!!!!!!!! A KING is NOT lower! George this gives you control over the next card. You need this next card to be either another 6 or another 7 in order for you to win this hand. You have the option to pass it to Kourtney to try to bust him. Only a 2, 3, 4 or 5 would bust his hand. Tough situation to be in early on, but what do you want to do George, keep the next card for yourself or pass it to Kourtney?

I am going to pass it. I have a gut feeling.

Post by billmcdee on Sept 22, 2023 22:26:13 GMT -5
You'll need this passed card to be a 2, 3, 4 or 5 to win this hand. Otherwise, the hand will belong to Kourtney. Let's see the card please... That is a fit, Kourtney wins the first hand... Kourtney wins the first hand and is now in the running for the Clean Sweep Jackpot of $500. Will he win it? Or will our 5 time champion George mount a comeback? You won't know unless YOU come back, right after WE come back for these words of interest.

(Return from commercial music) Welcome back to Split Decision. 5 day champion George Cluster is behind early in this first game of today's match, but there's plenty of time to still catch up. Kourtney, as you won that first hand, you get to determine the value of our next hand. Please select a letter and a suit.

We can certainly do that. The biggest one up there, three of them in total up on the board. $250 the value of this upcoming hand. First card this time please Witney... A King, so this next toss up puzzle will be worth $50, but before we continue, I want to mention that "CLEAN SWEEP" token under Kourtney's podium. Any time either player wins a game 3 hands to 0, that is a clean sweep, and they will receive a $500 jackpot as a bonus, courtesy of our friends at Bissell. For all of your floor cleaning needs, the Bissell cordless sweeper is light weight, convenient to use from one room to the next, can be used on carpeted, tiled or hard wood floors, and is also very easy to store in any closet. Bissell is now home to a deeper clean. Here now is our $50 toss up puzzle. I need a 6 letter word starting with "S" that connects the split: BOX with TRAINING And George is in first this time. George you will have until 5:45pm EST on Monday, September 25th to post your answer.
