A reference from the 1980s, happier times for me at least, and sadly a reference to how things have been thus far during the 2020's. Immanuel, you are in quite the enviable position it would seem. If you keep the next card and it is anything other than an Ace, a deuce or a King, you will win this hand, this game and tie up the match. If you pass the next card to Raymond and it is anything other than another ten, a Jack or a Queen, you would bust him and also win this hand, this game and tie up the match. So to paraphrase Mr. Barker during the Showcases, are you a keepin' this next card Immanuel, or are you a passin'?

Hmm…I think I’ll give this next card to Raymond. His hand is too narrow

Let us see. Did Immanuel just give Raymond the game and the match, or has Immanuel tied up this match? Raymond your card is.... A NINE! It is NOT a fit, and Immanuel wins $300 and this game! (win cue) And once again Immanuel, there was no possible way you could have lost that hand as the 9 WOULD have fit in your hand as well! But we have no way of knowing that ahead of time, which is a big part of the fun and excitement. Immanuel, for winning game 2, you also win that Joker which can be turned in for an extra draw during the Pot Limit end game. Right now we have a tied up match, and must break the tie. Our tie-breaker is just one hand only and $250 more will go to the winner plus the right to advance to the Pot Limit end game. Here's the toss up for control, using the same deck still as we did from game 2. We're looking for a word starting with B this time, one that connects the split... PIGGY with ROBBER Raymond you are in first this time and have until 6:10pm EST on Sunday, February 5th to post your answer.

Correct! For shame, a piggy bank robber would steal candy from a baby! Right now Raymond is going to try to steal this game and the match. First card this time is... Wow, a ten yet again! Raymond are you keeping it, passing it, or placing it in the center as the common card?

Back in the day, Bo Derek had a lot of admirers and love... Around here, the 10's, not so much. Immanuel has a ten, and the next card for your consideration Raymond is... A Queen, speaking of ladies. Are you keeping that for yourself, or do you want that card in the center Raymond?

I’m putting it in the center.

(gasps from the gallery) Yeah, the audience sees what you did there Raymond! Very sound strategy, giving Immanuel a really tight squeeze there! Time to reveal your card Raymond... (Louder audience gasps) WOW! An even tighter squeeze yet for you Raymond. Control is ever so vital now with this final toss up puzzle for today players. Please tell me the word that begins with C that connects the split... WOOD with NORRIS Immanuel you are in first! You have until 9:35am EST on Monday, February 6th to post your answer.

Chuck is right Immanuel. Decision time. Are you keeping the next card, hoping it will be another ten, another Queen or a Jack, or are you going to "Chuck" it and give it to Raymond to try to bust him? Only another Queen or another King would give him the win.

Immanuel, going for a bust... This will mean the game AND the match... (buzzer) OH MY! It's the 4th and final TEN in the deck! And IMMANUEL TIMS PULLS OUT THE WIN!!!!!! vocaroo.com/9PUonnx6Jg0WOW! That was a TREMENDOUS first match, very very even match, as evidenced by the fact that both of you won $1,000 today! Immanuel, we'll talk more in a moment. Raymond, you played absolutely sensationally! Luck of the draw plays a very important part of this game. Your strategies were 100 percent sound. Lady Luck is that one key unpredictable element that makes this game so fascinating to me. Any parting words you'd like to share before we commence Raymond?

(Cheering & applause) Wow, I sure hope this is an omen of how ALL of our matches will play out! When we return, newly crowned come back champ Immanuel Tims will play against the house, when we return with our exciting POT LIMIT end game! Back after these words!

OOOOOOOO we are back! And my goodness, was that not an incredible match? It went the full distance! Five hands in each of the first two games plus the one hand sudden death tie-breaking third game. I want first us to give another rousing round of applause to Raymond Weaver, who played a terrific match! (applause & cheers) Immanuel, you fought long and hard to get here, you have $1,000 already to show for your efforts and that is safe and sound no matter what happens next. You have qualified to play our Pot Limit end game. I will explain the rules very carefully as we go along. And I'll start off by saying, should you have any questions before we begin play, you be sure to let me know. First, in the next few minutes Immanuel, you could wind up winning as much as $75,000 in cash! (NBC OOOhs & AAAhs) Second, another nice bonus to this bonus game is our newest member of the Split Decision family. Let us meet our new dealer, she's had experience at it before...former Catch 21 hostess, Witney Carson! Witney, thank you for being here with us. I know thanks are not necessary as you are on the pay roll (chuckling)...but I thank you nevertheless. Immanuel, Witney is now presenting you with a brand new, freshly shuffled deck of 54 playing cards. It's a standard deck of 52 with 2 Jokers mixed in as well. At this time please cut these cards by select a number higher than 0 but lower than 54.

Splendid, now Witney will take that deck over to the "Split" game board and deal your top card face down. The other two spaces are reserved for your high and your low card split. Those cards however will come from this game board: Immanuel, you will play a maximum of 7 Split Decision hands. This time, you will establish the split by selecting cards from this numbered board. During the first 4 hands of play, you will get to select 4 of these cards and they will be revealed all at once. After all 4 cards on this board have been revealed, we will take the 2 cards that make the largest split possible for you. At that point, you will then wager your bank total, a minimum bet of $50 up to a maximum of all of it, or the Pot Limit, hence the name of our game. The cards 2 through Ace are hidden somewhere behind those 14 numbers, and each card is up there only once. One other card is a Joker, and that is wild, and can be made into either an Ace or a Deuce, whichever one would benefit you most. After each hand, the 14 cards on this selection board will be reshuffled. During the last 4 hands of this game, as you can see by the board, you will only get to select 3 of these 14 numbered cards to establish your split, so it may become a bit more of a challenge. Before we start the first 3 hands, we will give you $300 of money to play with. After hand number 3 has completed, or if you should bust before hand number 3 is played, you will then move up to the second level, and we'll give you another $600 of betting money and three more hands to play. Also you will notice that during the first 3 hands of play, any tie will win for you. So for example if your spread is a Jack high and a 5 low, and the card that turns up from your deck is either a Jack or a 5, you would win your bet. During the next 3 hands, the second level, you neither win nor lose with a tie card, it is simply a push. During the first six hands of play Immanuel, your minimum bet will always be $50, however, for the final hand, the Major Wager, we will add $1,000 to your bank total and for the last hand only, your minimum bet will have to be at least half of your bankroll. And a word of warning, for the Major Wager, if your center card ties either the high or low card, you LOSE your bet! To help you out, we stake you to 3 "Extra Picks" from our game board. You may only use one extra pick during any given hand however. You also picked up 1 more extra pick during the front game, so you have a total of 4 extra picks at your disposal Immanuel. Use them wisely and try, if you can, to hold onto them for as long as you can, as an extra draw from this board could be so vital, especially during the later hands where you only get 3 picks. Also to help you out, you have two Jokers in YOUR deck of 54 cards. If a Joker turns up during any hand, it is an instant winner for you as the Joker is a wild card. Finally, if during the last hand, the Major Wager, the card we turn up for the fit is one of your 2 jokers, not only will you win your wager, but a special Joker Jackpot as well! If that happens, you will win an additional: (CLANG) $25,000 in cash! Should you be able to double your bank total during all 7 hands, that will total $50,000, so you could win up to $75,000 here today!!! There are a lot of rules to digest. Once you have done so, and if you have no questions Immanuel, say the word and we'll begin playing Pot Limit.

Good deal! Let's see: A seven, a Jack, a six and a four. So right now Immanuel, your split would be a Jack high and a 4 low. If you wish, you can use up one of your 4 extra picks to try to get either a card lower than the 4 or one that is higher than the Jack. There are ten cards remaining on the board, if you use one of your extra picks now, you have 6 chances of widening your spread and 4 of not doing so, so a 60 percent chance to improve this first split. Do you want to use your one of your extra picks, or leave the split as it is with a 4 low and a Jack high?

A pretty good split there. 8 cards will win for you while 5 will lose for you. You have $300 Immanuel. How much of that do you wish to bet that the card in the center will fit the split? Remember for now ties win for you.

Very well. Witney will now reveal your card and let us hope for $150 that it fits the split! Oh no! (Buzzer) (groans) Drat! That did not go so well Immanuel but you still have $150 and 6 more hands in front of you, a lot of time to still win some big money! Please select any four of the fourteen numbered cards, and let's hope for a bigger split this time.
