Correct! Now YOU control the deck Immanuel. First card this time is... A ten. Do you want to keep it, put it in the middle or pass it to Raymond?

I'll...keep it

Then the ten is yours... Now you are looking for and/or hoping for a very LOW card to put in the middle, let's see... A six. If you put that in the middle Immanuel, you'd need a 6 through a 10 to win, or you can pass it over to Raymond and hope the next card will be a better one for the center spot. What's your decision?

6 is too narrow...I'm a-passin'

The six goes to Raymond, and now the common card this time is... (Gasps from the audience) Oh my...a Queen. Immanuel I would have played it just as you did, just a bad break there having such a narrow split this time, but let's see how it works out. Next toss up for all important control of the cards... What "P" links together the split up words... MISTER and BUTTER? Immanuel, you have until 1pm EST on Sunday, January 29th to post your answer.

Correct! Immanuel, you're in a bit of a pickle here. If you keep the next card it must be a ten, Jack or Queen. If you pass though, Raymond wins with a six through a Queen. Tough decision...do you keep the card for yourself or pass it and hope to bust Raymond?

And the card Raymond gets is... OOOOOOOH!!!!!!!! It fits! OOOOOOHHHH Immanuel! If you had only kept it! Again, I dare say you played it right, just some bad luck there, and luck is a big element in our game, these cards are quite unpredictable! The hand goes to Raymond. Another $175 for that hand, up $375 to zero so far and up 2 hands to 0. Fear not Immanuel, many times during our rehearsals players who were down 2 to 0 came back to win! Far from out of this thing. New toss up for a new hand....Raymond's going for the win, Immanuel's looking to stay alive. What R links together... CHRISTOPHER & HOOD? Immanuel you are in first again. You have until 2:20pm EST on Sunday, January 29th to post your answer.

A nice impression and a correct answer! That all important control of the cards is yours once again Immnauel. First card this time... Hello! Got a Joker there. That means who ever wins this first game will have one extra draw at the Pot Limit bonus game. Now the next card for you to decide up on is... An 8. Immanuel do you wish to keep it, place it in the center as the common card, or pass it down to Raymond?

And that should come as a shock to nobody. As eights are THE centermost cards of the deck. Next card up Immanuel... Oh an ACE! First one of the game today. Do you want that for yourself or do you want to put that in the center as the common card Immanuel?

I'll take the 8!

(Chuckling) I know you meant to say Ace there. Now for the pivotal common card... OH BOY!!!!!!!! Now THAT is what I call a split! Raymond, a 2 to an 8 but Immanuel, you have a guaranteed winner there. However you must buzz in first and come up with a right answer to this next word puzzle in order to claim the card. Obviously if Raymond is in first and right, he will be given the card automatically since passing it would cause him to lose. Here is the next word puzzle... What H connects the split words... CHARLIE with RADISH? And it's Immanuel in first! Answer due by 11:55am EST on Monday, January 30th.

Both can cause quite a bit of pain too! You are right! We however must make it official..... Especially since we still have one Joker in the mix... Oh my! A KING! A winner automatically regardless... now it's 2 hands to 1! And $125 for you at the very least. Only hand #4 worth $75. Here's our next toss up. What F connects the 2 split words... RAIN with RANGER? And Quick Draw Immanuel is in first yet again! Deadline to post your answer is 12:15pm EST on Monday, January 30th.

(awws from the crowd) What was the answer audience? Audience: "Forest!" Yes, Rainforest and Forest ranger... Whenever a player rings in first and is incorrect or passes on a puzzle, control of the cards is automatically won by the other player. Raymond, you're back in control of the deck, which is where you want to be. First card for your consideration this hand is... A 9. Do you wish to keep it, give it to Immanuel, or place it in the center as the common card?

Post by billmcdee on Jan 29, 2023 6:23:07 GMT -5
Why am I not at all surprised? And the card that you'll get for yourself Raymond is... A King, so a 9 to a King spread for you Raymond....Immanuel, well, that's what we call a TIGHT SQUEEEEEEEZE there....only another 9 will win you this next hand but, if that does happen, it's a $500 bonus! Control of the deck so vital now. Here's the next toss up to determine the fate of the next card.... What "C" connects together the split words.... FRIED and POX? Immanuel is in first like a shot! You have until 6:25am EST on Tuesday, January 31st (have mercy are we at the end of January already!) to post your answer Immanuel.

Fried Chicken Pox, just like Mother used to make. Immanuel that is correct! You have that all important control over the cards. Do you want to keep the next card and hope it's yet another 9 or pass it to Raymond and hope that it won't fit his split?
|
|
|

I'm gonna pass the 9!

Post by billmcdee on Jan 29, 2023 11:09:40 GMT -5
Well we don't know what the next card is. You're hoping it is NOT a 9, rather an Ace through an 8 to bust Raymond. Let's see... The card Raymond IS getting is... OH an 8! That busts Raymond and Immanuel ties up this game! Down from 2 to 0 now all tied up at 2 apiece. This last hand will decide the winner of game #1. It's a $50 hand plus $250 to the winner of this game, so in essence it's a $300 hand in total for one of you. Here's the next toss-up for control of the deck. What "W" connects this split... EAR with MUSEUM And Raymond is back in first this time. Raymond, you have until 11:10am EST on Tuesday, January 31st to post your answer.
