That's me! Good evening and welcome to the First Annual Net Game Central Awards, here at. Avalon Hollywood, formerly the Hollywood Palace. I was indeed very honored and humbled to learn that I would be this year's Master of Ceremonies, until I found out the only two reasons I got the job…I have an avatar, and I have an avatar with a tuxedo! Over the past year we have seen some re-births of some classic game shows from yesteryear, plus many original ideas for game shows as well. And gee, yes I just said "gee", isn't it terrific that we have an alternative place such as this to host, to play, and to watch many game shows? It's a nice change of pace from GSN and 16 hours of Family Feud episodes! And since Pat, Vanna and Alex all have renewed now through I believe 2018, we will have to wait a while before some of us might be able to take over their jobs! As if… Before we begin, I just want to send out a special "shout out" on behalf of all of us here at Net Game Central to the Godfather and inspiration for this forum, our very good friend Big Jon! We will be featuring some musical guests throughout tonight's telecast too. And they include a very talented young lady who is really peaking, Ariana Grande! Also, the Piano Man himself, Billy Joel will perform a tune or two later on! And finally, another one of my all-time favorites, the Steve Miller Band!! Tonight, we will have 10 categories being presented. To all the nominees and to all the eventual winners, my heartfelt congratulations. The first award is for the "Strangest Prize". And here to present said award is a gentleman who oversees 2 terrific and exciting game shows which features a vast array of prizes, the host of "$ale of the Century", and "The Price is Right", our very own, Greg Palmer!

($ale of the Century theme plays as I walk in) (cheers and applause)
Thank you, Bill. Throughout history, game shows have been known for giving away pretty run-of-the-mill prizes. You know, dishwashers, living room sets, cash, A NEW CAR...... and then there was High Rollers. They gave away things such as a trip to the Kentucky Derby with $100 bets on each horse, 12 portable televisions, and a $10,000 antique Chinese fishbowl. But let me tell you, Alex Trebek has nothing on the winner of this prize. The winner of the Net Game Award for Strangest Prize goes to........ (I open the envelope)
Bronycon Trip from Movin' On Up

Settle down settle down people!
(Applause dies down)
I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge my wonderful staff and prize procurement crew on "Movin On Up" as well as my group from "High Rollers" on the old network. It is their sense of fun and humor that makes my job a little easier. To Telepictures,Fremantle, and the other fine companies that I've been privileged to work side by side with, thank you for being fine broadcast partners over the years. You share in this success tonight. To my friends, family and colleagues, I love ya (holds up ASL "I love you" sign). We'll see you soon I'm sure. Thanks everyone!

Ladies and gentlemen, Steven Anderson!
(applauding him)
In medieval times, knights often fought to the death, painful deaths at that. Many avoided pain due to their armor, their skill and their trusty shields.
To that end, it is my privilege to introduce our next presenter, for the most Painful Moment, Cameron Shields!

(I walk up on stage, and stand at the podium) Thank you very much Bill. It's a delight to be here, and it's somewhat of a delight to present the award for the most painful moment in a netgame; While we may enjoy the moments where the contestant risks it all to win thousands, and possibly millions of dollars in prizes, some of the most interesting moments are when a contestant encounters something that halts their progress, and sometimes when a contestant has lots on the line, that makes the moment even more painful for them, but somewhat enjoyable for the viewers at home. We had a lot of painful moments throughout this first year on Net Game Central, but when deciding a winner, we could only come to one conclusion. The winner of the Most Painful Moment on Net Game Central for 2015 is (I open the envelope) Evan Loses the Super Lot on $ale of The Century!*Sale of the Century Theme plays*(the audience cheers and applauds as Greg makes his way up on stage) Lora Cain: (VO) Accepting the award for the most painful netgame moment, is the host and executive producer of the NBC Sale of the Century, Greg Palmer!

(correction: it's not syndicated, it's actually on NBC)
Thank you. Thank you all very much. Uh, Lora, you're partially wrong. We're only syndicated internationally. In the States, we're on NBC. Anyway, the idea for a Super Lot came from the network. Network brass got Reg Grundy on the line, Reg called me to his estate in Bermuda, and he suggested that we bring $ale into the 21st century by offering a Super Lot. The episode where Evan was going for the Super Lot had one of the highest Nielsen ratings of that timeslot. When he lost, it was heartbreaking.
Tony Barber, one of our creative consultants and one of the original hosts in Australia, once said on a 1990 episode that "in 10 or 20 years' time, no doubt, million dollar prizes will be the go". And he was absolutely right. So, I'd like to thank Grundy Television, FremantleMedia, NBC, Michael Whyte, Robert Noah, all the executive producers, and everyone. But you know, we should bring Evan up here because he lost. Come on up, Evan, and take a bow! (I start applauding for him)

(and I do so) While I have you all captive... (a few people in the crowd boo) Hey, if the Oscars can run over, so can we. Yes, I lost, but why should that matter? To me, it's not about winning - but I will admit it's nice to win once in a while. No, these games are about having a bit of fun - it shouldn't matter if you win or lose, it should matter if you're having fun, if you're enjoying being there. To that end, I'd like to thank Greg and all the fine folks at $ale for making the game so much fun. It's a once in a lifetime experience, and they really immerse you in the game. They're a great crew, and they put out a great show. Cheers to them!

And this is why, ladies and gentlemen, Bob Barker reminded us for all of these years to help control the pet population!
On second thought, with the likes of Ariana Grande, Billy Joel and The Steve Miller Band waiting in the wings, it's only fitting that they should have an opening act. Hopefully later on that cat won't have their tongues...
Seeing that cat playing was indeed a funny moment of our awards show, which brings us into our next category, "Funniest Moment". And here to present that award is someone who has a rather dry sense of humor himself, he hosts "Hot Dice", "Crag: The Numbers Game" and also a game which is nominated for Funniest Moment, Chain Reaction.
Please give a warm welcome to our very own, Mr. Doug Morris!
(applause)

Could this be an omen? Thanks, Bill. Good evening, everyone. First, before this goes any further, I just wanted to thank all of you for letting little ol' me be part of this neighborhood. (audience cheers)And I've long been of the belief if the game you're hosting or playing isn't fun, there's something wrong. Along the way, you have to throw in some wit and humor -- whether or not the funny moments are planned. Which brings us to these four nominees for funniest moment in a net game. And they are... \ The "Mister Chicken" incident from The $40,000 Chain Reaction
\ Kori's scandalous feedback on H2
\ Charlie Sheen guest modeling on $ale of the Century
\ The sex question on H2 ...and the award goes -- to -- someone -- I don't have the envelope, fellas. (Blinky, a cue card boy from one of Doug's old net game projects runs up to the stages, trips and falls) (audience laughs and applauds)First of all, you'll understand why my production company fired this klutz! (audience laughs) And second, I nominate this tripping incident for funniest moment in an award show. (audience laughs)

Blinky, you look like you've suffered a broken rib or something. (Devon and Shelly from Crag: The Numbers Game come dressed as nurses) (audience cheers) (dice girls pick up Blinky; strap him to gurney; whisk him off stage left) Yeah, they're dice girls by day and paramedics by night. (audience laughs) (Doug opens the envelope) Yeah, yeah, we're running heavy already. The winner is -- "the sex question" from H2! (audience cheers)

(I jump onstage, shake Doug's hand and receive the golden statue, as the audience applauds)
Thank you, everyone. It's funny that I came up with this certain question for this particular game. The secret?
(I reach under the podium and grab a book)
I pulled it from my book, "10,000 Krazy Kuestions!" (audience laughs) And among all the questions, you will find the sex question in there. Now, in all seriousness, I'd like to thank my producers for letting me host such a fantastic show, and also to Doug, who was the star thrown into this particular question. I had a lot of fun doing the show, and the next episode will be coming soon. Thank you! (audience applauds as I leave the stage)

Welcome back to the 2015 Net Game Awards.
As we just saw a moment ago, bloopers are a mainstay on television, and the net. And while many game shows now edit out bloopers, we seldom if ever do here.
To err is human, to forgive divine. And no song embodies that spirit better than "We're Only Human".
Now, here to perform that song, a man whose first name I am proud to share, the one, the only Piano Man himself...
Billy Joel!!!!!!!!

(the crowd goes wild as Billy walks out on stage to his piano) Billy: How's everybody doin' tonight? (audience cheers) Great. Sing along if ya know this one. (he sits down and starts playing)
Backup: Whoo hoo hoo, yeah Whoo hoo hoo
Billy:
You're having a hard time and lately you don't feel so good You're getting a bad reputation in your neighborhood It's alright, it's alright Sometimes that's what it takes You're only human, you're allowed to make your share of mistakes
Backup: Only human, whoo whoo
Billy: You better believe there will be times in your life When you'll be feeling like a stumbling fool So take it from me you'll learn more from your accidents Than anything you could ever learn at school
Don't forget your second wind Sooner or later you'll get your second wind
Backup: Whoo hoo hoo, yeah Whoo hoo hoo
Billy:
It's not always easy to be living in this world of pain You're gonna be crashing into stone walls again and again It's alright, it's alright Though you feel your heart break You're only human, your gonna have to deal with heartache
Backup: You're only human, whoo whoo
Billy:
Just like a boxer in a title fight You got to walk in that ring all alone You're not the only one who's made mistakes But they're the only things that you can truly call your own
Don't forget your second wind Wait in your corner until that breeze blows in
You've been keeping to yourself these days Cause you're thinking everything's gone wrong Sometimes you just want to lay down and die That emotion can be so strong But hold on Till that old second wind comes along
Backup: Whoo hoo hoo Only human, whoo whoo Only human
Billy:
You probably don't want to hear advice from someone else But I wouldn't be telling you if I hadn't been there myself It's alright, it's alright S-sometimes that's all it takes, ha ha ha We're only human We're supposed to make mistakes
Backup: You're only human, whoo whoo
Billy:
But I survived all those long lonely days When it seemed I did not have a friend Cause all I needed was a little faith So I could catch my breath and face the world again Don't forget your second wind Sooner or later you'll feel that momentum kick in Don't forget your second wind Sooner or later you'll feel that momentum kick in Don't forget your second wind Don't forget your second wind Mmm, that second wind
Billy/Backup: Only human
(audience cheers)

(I come up to the podium and bow to the audience) Thank you, audience. And thank you very much, Bill. For those who don't know, I happen to be good friends with this year's awards host. (I give the thumbs up to Bill) It's been a pleasure working with Bill the last several years going back to the old place, and I hope that Bill and I can continue to be good buddies for many more years. Now, what makes game shows exciting you ask? Well, I'll tell you. When contestants win big, it makes for great television and great ratings. Let me give you an example. When Michelle Lowenstein became Wheel Of Fortune's first ever millionaire back in 2008, it made for great television because it was an exciting moment. One of the best that I can recall in all of the years that I've watched game shows for sure. But all of the moments from our own game shows have been pretty exciting as well. The nominees for the best moment are: Michael Clifford's Amazing Bonus Round Solve from Wheel Of Fortune: Seasons, Clement's epic comeback on Hot Dice, Steven Anderson winning $1,000,000 on Wheel Of Fortune: The Experience and Kevin Kolsen dominating the Big Numbers for back to back $25,000 wins on my edition of High Rollers. All of those moments are very exciting, and in my opinion, they all deserve to win. (Staff team from nominated shows in Best Moment category cheer loudly) All right guys, I appreciate all the cheering. As much as I'd like to give this to all of you, this award can only have one winner. (I pull out an envelope from my inside suit jacket pocket that contains the winner for Best Moment) And that winner is on the card that's in this envelope that I'm about to open. Before I do so, however, I would like to invite everybody who's in the audience tonight to see some of my black light theater performances at the Famous People Players up in Toronto, Canada. (audience cheers very loudly) Yes yes, I know you're all excited about that. But You're all going to go off your gourds when I announce the winner for Best Moment. (I open the envelope, pull out the card and look at it briefly) We have a lot of deserving candidates for this, you know. (Someone in the audience yells "Get on with it!") Whoever yelled that out, please be patient. You can't just rush things like these, you know. And the winner for Best Moment is: Steven Anderson winning $1,000,000 on Wheel Of Fortune: The Experience!

[Running down from the back, fanning out $1 bills to audience members on either side of the aisle] [Applause] I'm here I'm here.
When I'm not hosting my own shows, I've been seen playing an awful lot of them too. And "Wheel of Fortune" is something I've always been awesome at. To win over $1.2 million across two networks is a unique act in itself. Thank you to all the voters who deemed this moment the best of the year. To share in this award, the host and producer of "Wheel" on NG3, Leaf Apollo!

Thank you, Steven. It's really been a pleasure hosting Wheel here on the network, and Steven has proven to be quite the player. He's won more than all my other contestants on the show, and overall, the 3rd Million Dollar Winner during the course of the series. Steven, I congratulate you for your feats on the show, and for your award here. May you continue to provide exciting moments here. (audience applauds as Me & Steven exit)

(at my podium talking on a telephone) Oh? Yes, yes sir I will let him know at once. Goodbye. (hanging the phone up on the cradle) Steven, that was the IRS calling. They said the deadline for your tax return expired 3 days ago on April 15th and will have an agent in the lobby waiting for you once we leave the theatre Just as income taxes require a great deal of focus, concentration, skill and effort, so too does providing awesome audio and visual effects for our net games. Here to present the award for Best A/V Graphic Effects is a man who just spent a great deal of time dealing with taxes himself, and is the current host of the newest version of the $100,000 Pyramid, Kevin Kolsen!!! Thank you! Thank you, everybody. Before I present the nominees for this year's Best A/V Graphic Effects award, I want to talk about what that entails, first. Don't worry, it's not going to be about taxes.
*laughter*
Some of you already know this but I like to write. One of the things I'm constantly told when I'm writing is "Show, don't tell". What that means is you want to create the imagery and action, not just convey it in plain text. That's a theme that applies to this category as well because when you're reading a novel, you're trying to get the imagery into your mind. Now, whether our hosts use text or graphics to carry out their shows, they're showing as well. It's as if you're actually in the studio playing that game in front of millions of viewers.
So, without further ado, here are the nominees:
Tony Lane for shows such as The Joker's Wild and Card Sharks.
Bill McDee for shows such as Gambit and Now You See It.
And the winner of the 1st NGC Best A/V Graphic Effects award goes to...
*drumroll*
[TONY LANE]
