(scattered cheers) Going for it. All right -- instead of $400, what's being added to the pot, if anything? (bust cue; audience groans)Oh the horror! Michael just lost $300! (scattered laughter from the crowd) (tones sound)We can have a little fun -- because Michael still has a commanding lead going into the catch-up round. We know how this works -- and Bill knows what he needs to roll. Bill, you must roll a double -- and that double must give you enough or more than enough money to keep you in the game. Anything short -- and Michael ties up the match at a game apiece. We need to reshuffle the double decision board anyway. (amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)Extra rolls are attached to at least two of the amounts up there. Anything can still happen. Bill -- when you're ready -- please take your free roll. (Bill, number from 1-100 please.)

(Doug in pre-recorded audio as contestant plug cue plays)Do you think you have what it takes to win the million? Call our Hot Dice contestant hotline at 1-800-555-DICE -- or visit TraxProductions.net/dice.(audience applauds) And without further delay, let's dive right into the tie-breaker game. (ding)Bill, Michael, again, all the money you banked until now is yours for the keeping. But this is the game that will decide the match. It's a sprint to the finish -- meaning we have just three rounds and the catch-up. The leading player in this game wins the match and a shot at more than $1,000,000. (audience cheers)Good luck to both players and away we go with Round 1 and this. Gambit, Bullseye or Camouflage. That's it. (audience applause) Wonder why the game show "Bullseye" never gave away gift certificates to shop at Target? (Bill rolls) (a few laughs from the crowd) Starting off with an 8 for $800. Does Bill want to bank eight bills or risk 'em on the next roll? (audience shouts suggestions)

With just 2 rolls remaining before the catch-up round, the large number of 7's that have already been rolled, and that 8 is dangerously near 7, I'm actually going to play defensively here and just bank the $800.

It is "Martha Stewart Living". You're right. (audience applause) You first roll in the tie-breaker, Michael. (Michael rolls) And it's a 7. Again, I note for the record that's usually a bust roll. But you can't bust on the free roll. So we do see a new pot with $700. Next 7 loses it all in this round, Michael. Bank or roll? (audience shouts suggestions)

You believe correctly. Hurricane Bob from 1979. (audience applause) Give 'em a roll, Bill. (Bill rolls)Another 7. But this one's on the free roll. So we do start out with $700. Next 7's a bust, Bill -- and as before, you could rack up zillions of dollars and there'd still be at least one way Michael could catch up to you in the catch-up round. So -- bank $700 or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

(scattered cheers) Another quick bank by Bill... (ding) (tones sound)...leads to the catch-up round. Michael, you know your mission -- bank $1500 or more in one roll. You have to do it with a double -- and have that double put at least $1500 in your bank. Let's reshuffle the double decision board. (amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)Three of those screens will give you money and an extra roll of the dice. Another screen hides as many as five free rolls. The rest hide less than $200 each. Anything short of a good double means Bill continues as our champion. When you're ready -- please take your free roll. (Michael -- number from 1-100 please.)

Certainly an exciting match. Bill, congratulations. Another $1500 for you. Your total for the match $7300. Grand total going into the Bonus Bonanza -- $34,600. (audience cheers)Stand by as we get set for the Bonus Bonanza, please, Bill. Michael, even though you didn't win the match, you fared better in the money department in the three games we played tonight -- thanks in part to that monster second game you had. You're taking home $9200... (audience cheers)...plus some fine gifts and our great thanks for making this a great match in Hot Dice. One more hand for Michael. (audience cheers)When we come back, see if Bill can take us for the million in the Bonus Bonanza. Stay right there. (commercial cue plays; audience applauds)

Eh, can't do that *every* time someone ends up with *more than* $9000 and less than $10K. Wears out the gag -- quick.
(floor director counts down Doug)
Oh, back to business.
(floor director counts, "5, 4, 3, 2...")
Annnnd, welcome back to Hot Dice. Bill McDee has $34,600 so far -- and is after much more in the Bonus Bonanza.
Bill, for winning the match, we give you one free roll of the dice. This free roll pays $250 a point instead of $100. That means a roll of double sixes will seed the pot with $3000. No matter how much money we seed the pot with, much more can follow after that.
Right now, Bill, please take your free roll.
(Bill, number from 1-100, please)

(Bill rolls)(scattered groans and applause) Well -- gotta start somewhere. A 3 times 250 means we start you off with $750 in the pot. We also start you off with these... ...the two gold coins you earned in the match. You're going to need them. Because as the stakes increase, so do the dangers. Anytime the dice total 5, 7 or 9 on any roll, I take away a coin and you must roll again. Roll a 5, 7 or 9 without a coin and that's a bust -- meaning you lose everything in the pot and the game ends. On the positive side, every safe roll is now worth $500 a point. And the double decision board is active. Three of those screens hide big payoffs -- at least $25,000 and at most $100,000. Three of the other screens hide busts. If you go to the board and find a bust, we treat it as if you rolled a 5, 7 or 9 -- meaning a loss of coin or loss of the contents of the pot. If you find money, we put that much money in the pot -- and then replace that cash prize with $1,000,000. (audience cheers) Remember, this Bonus Bonanza ends after you stop the game after a safe roll, bust or have at least $1,000,000 in the pot. You *could* stop the game right here and bank $750 -- or you may roll again. (audience shouts suggestions)

If I stopped, this audience would riot. As "chicken" as I am, even I won't stop with just $750.
Let's roll 'em Doug!

(scattered laughter and applause) (Bill rolls)(scattered groans) Uh oh. First bust roll. I had to take a coin away. Still have one coin left -- but you still have to roll again. Dice are back to you. Roll again, please. (Bill rolls)(louder groans) Suddenly -- chickening out at 750 doesn't seem like a bad idea. (scattered laughter from the crowd) But you committed to risking and rolling. You can't bail out until you come up with a safe roll. You've got to come up with a safe roll here or you bust out. (Bill rolls)(scattered cheers) Okay, much better. An 8 puts $4000 in the pot. You now have $4750 -- but your defense is gone. The next 7, 5 or 9 or a bust on the double decision board wipes you out. What'cha think? (audience shouts suggestions)
