Ahhhh, departing from routine strategery. (Bill rolls)(more cheers) And the risk paid off that time. Nearly doubling the pot to $1900. Bank the ni-ni-ni-ni-nineteen -- or try to gain more green? (audience shouts suggestions)

Delaware is right. (audience applause) All right, Bill, another free roll. (Bill rolls) And you're starting out with double 3 for $600. As always, there's no double decision on the free roll. Bill, I give you the same spiel as I did in Game 1. You could bank 60 billion dollars in this round -- and there'd still be at least one way Matt can catch up to you in the catch-up round. So -- want to bank the $600 now and set the target for Matt to shoot for -- or risk the $600 in the pot and roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

I'm banking it Doug. My gut tells me a 7 is going to be next. Of course my gut isn't always right, but just call me Mr. Chicken

(Matt rolls)(audience groans)It's a 9 for $900. Not enough. Bill's our new champion! (dings; audience cheers)Bill, congratulations. In addition to winning your second coin, you've banked $3400 in this game -- and more than $10,000 in this match alone with perhaps more to follow in Bonus Bonanza. We'll get you your exact total in a bit. Matt, we have to say goodbye, unfortunately. But we say farewell with a lot of money. You banked $6000 in this match. Add six large to your prior winnings and you're taking home our great thanks, best wishes and a big fat check for $128,900. (audience cheers) Well done and well played, Matt Ringgenberg (more cheers)Bill McDee, we've crunched your numbers -- and can tell you that you've so far won $10,800. (audience cheers)And when we return, we'll give Bill a shot at hundreds of thousands more -- possibly even the million -- in the Bonus Bonanza. Stay with us. (commercial cue plays; audience applauds)

(fade into double decision board displaying show logo) (audience cheers)(fade to Bill and Doug at the dice table) Welcome back to Hot Dice. Bill McDee is our new champion with $10,800 -- and a chance to win tons more. Bill, for winning the match, you get one free roll of the dice. This time, the free roll is worth $250 per point instead of $100. That means a roll of boxcars starts you off with $3000. Good luck and give 'em a roll. (Bill, number from 1-100, please. That will be your starting point on the list of dice rolls.)

First of all I'm very delighted to be the champion, and I want to thank Matt for such a good match and congratulate him on his winnings! Since I was born in '66, I will select 48 (my age)

(Bill rolls)(audience cheers)Best free roll ever. Double sixes for $3000. Now, Bill, please take these. These are the two gold coins you earned in the match. From this moment on, the stakes are higher -- and so are the risks. You'll recall in the match, 7 was the only bust roll. Here in the Bonus Bonanza, there are three bust rolls -- 5, 7 and 9. Anytime the dice come up 5, 7 or 9, I must take away a gold coin and you must roll again. If a bust roll comes up and you have no gold coins to help you, you'll lose everything in the pot and the game is over. On the positive side, each safe roll is now worth $500 a point. The double decision board is now active. At all times, three screens will hide at least $25,000 -- meaning the other three hide busts. If you roll a double, go to the board and find money, we'll add that much to the pot -- and then replace the payoff with $1,000,000. (audience cheers)However, finding a bust on the double decision board means a loss of coin or, worse yet, a loss of the game and everything in the pot. This Bonus Bonanza ends when you bust and have no coins to help you, you have at least $1,000,000 in the pot -- or you decide to stop after a safe roll. Since the free roll is also a safe roll, you may quit here and bank $3000 -- or risk it all on another roll of the dice. (audience shouts suggestions)

(Bill rolls)(scattered cheers) Good roll -- a 6 at $500 a point doubles the pot to $6000. Bank the six large or try to stay in charge? (audience shouts suggestions)

(scattered laughter from the crowd) We'll edit out Bill's blooper, right? (more laughter) (Bill rolls)(audience cheers)Wow! Big one! A 10 adds $5000 to the pot. You're up to $11,000. Wanna keep going? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Bill rolls)(scattered groans) Uh oh. One of the bust rolls. I've got to take away a coin. Still have one left -- but you must roll again. (Bill rolls)(doubles cue; audience cheers)And it's your first double decision of the Bonus Bonanza. Bill, think about this, please. You may play this roll safely -- and have us add another $3000 to the pot... ...or you may go to the double 3 screen on the board and hope for a payoff of as much as $100,000. (scattered cheers) If there is money in that screen and you go for it, we'll add that much to the pot instead of $3000 -- and then replace that prize with $1,000,000. (more cheers) But if there's a bust in that screen and you go for it, I have to take away your last coin, you'd have to roll again and you might lose all $11,000 on that next roll. Bill -- what is your double decision? (audience shouts suggestions)

(audience cheers) He's going for it. Bill, if there's money there, we'll add the loot to the pot and throw in a $1,000,000 cash prize to the board. If there's a bust in that double 3 screen, I've got to take back the other coin and you'll be skating on thin ice. What is in that double 3 screen? (buzz) (audience groans)Oh, that's a bust. Your last coin comes back to the house. We must reshuffle the board. (amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles) And because that bust negated what would've been a safe roll, Bill, you have to roll again. Another 5, 7 or 9 and you lose the money. Good luck and don't roll a 5, 7, or 9. (scattered cheers; two or three people shout, "Come on, Bill!") (Bill rolls)(audience cheers)Woah! A big relief. The yo-leven puts another $5500 in the pot. You're now up to $16,500. You could roll again if you like. But you have no gold coins to bail you out. Bank the 16 and a half grand -- or risk it all and roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

I had a sneaking suspicion this was the end of the road. Put the 16 and a half grand in Bill's bank, please. (ding) (audience cheers)Total for one match win is $27,300. Now -- Bill -- we're not done quite yet -- because we are Lester Holt types of people who adhere to the belief your right to know overrides your right to exist. If you rolled again, what would've happened? This won't count. (Bill rolls) The puny numbers would've cropped again. That's a safe roll for 1500 more bucks. You missed out on that. Did you miss out on more money? Roll again, please. (Bill rolls)(audience cheers)And that would've been your third and ultimate bust. Well -- I don't think you're *too* upset over missing out on another 1500. Still, a great first night for Bill McDee. $27,300 and a chance to play against another opponent on our next show. Hey, before we go, a special hello to Gilbert Edmonson in Portland, Maine -- who sent us a limerick. There once was a man named Tice, who put his competition on ice. He knew a lot about George Costanza, made it to the Bonus Bonanza and became a big winner on Hot Dice.
(audience cheers)Well played, Gil. Thanks for sharing that with us. 'Til next next, make it a great day, keep the faith and treasure your loved ones. (closing theme plays; audience applause)DAIMLER AG
