(Clément rolls)(scattered groans) Itty bitty tree. You're up to $1600. After a roll like that, I must ask -- was that really one more? (audience shouts suggestions)

(scattered cheers) Two and a half grand in your bank now. (ding)Matt still with a good lead in this game -- but as saw earlier, there's no safe lead on this show. Round 4 question's a little long -- so please play carefully. Which of the following statements is false about Lawrence, Kansas? \ It was the setting for the TV movie "The Day After". \ It serves as home base for the University of Kansas. \ It is the capital city of Kansas.

Oh no, that's a true statement. (scattered groans) Lawrence, Kansas is not the state capital; it's Topeka. Clément, break for you. The dice are hot for you. Please take that free roll. (Clément rolls)New pot starts off with $800. Bank the 800 or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Matt rolls) (doubles cue; audience cheers)Annnd it's double decision time. Matt, you know the choice -- have us add $1000 to the pot... ...or go to the double 5 screen on the board and hope for a better addition to the pot. What's your double decision?

Vermont's the state. (audience applause) Go ahead and take your free roll, please, Matt. (Matt rolls) (scattered groans from the crowd) Yeah, I know, the man banks a record $9500 in this game and starts off with a $400 free roll here. (scattered laughter from the crowd) Matt, you could go on if you'd like. Even if you banked another eleventy bazillion dollars in this round, not only would you become my new boss (scattered laughter from the crowd) but Clément would still have at least one way to catch up to you in the catch-up round. Same could be said if you go bust. So -- bank the $400 or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

(audience cheers)Matt decides to live a little. Pot could've been up to $2000. Instead -- what happens? (bust cue; audience groans)He busts out of the round. Oh well. (tones sound)There's the signal for the catch-up round in Game 2. We've had an exciting match so far. Matt with a record-setting $9500 for just one game of Hot Dice. Clément, you can make the match exciting if you roll the double that ties Matt *and* gives you an extra roll of the dice. In fact, let's shuffle that into the mix -- along with others. (amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)Other screens give you money and an extra roll. But watch out for the screens that are, basically, worthless. No busts up there -- but we do have $50 and $100 prizes up there. Key is -- you've got to roll a double to stay in business. Anything other than a double means Matt wins the game and we go to a tie-breaker game. When you're ready, Clément, clap those dice together and take your catch-up roll, please. (Clément, number from 1-100, please.)

(Doug in pre-recorded audio as contestant plug cue plays)Do you think you have what it takes to win the million? Call our Hot Dice contestant hotline at 1-800-555-DICE -- or visit TraxProductions.net/dice.(audience applauds) And considering how well our players have done in this match, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them really took a shot at the million. How well, you ask? Let's look at that tote board. Clément has banked $12,200 tonight. Matt has racked up $17,800. (audience cheers)And, Matt, if you're thinking you have more than 100 grand in winnings, you're right. As a matter of fact -- your winnings on our show total $105,200. (audience cheers)But it all comes down to one final game in the match. Fellers, put that money in a safe place, please. (ding)It's now time for the rubber game of the match. In this final game, we play only three rounds and the catch-up round. The player who banks more money in this game wins the match, that second gold coin -- and a chance to take those coins to the Bonus Bonanza for more than $1,000,000. (audience cheers)I'd *love* to see one of you win the million tonight. Our accountants, on the other hand -- (scattered laughter from the crew and crowd) -- different story. Seriously -- good luck -- play carefully -- because here comes your first question in the tie-breaker. "The Daily Show" or "The Nightly Show". Which debuted first on Comedy Central? 72 CCSCO (diff: 22) 31 mringgenberg (diff: 19) 50 randomizer.org(Matt buzzes in)Matt?
