*I walk up onstage to accept the award with my mouth wide open*
Oh. My. God. Wow. Honestly, I am speechless. I never thought I'd be best new host. I want to thank the staff who work so hard to make the shows I host possible. I want to thank all of you for voting. I am blessed to receive this award. Thank you all!
*I walk offstage to take my seat*

Welcome back to the Net Game Awards for 2018. We're nearing the homestretch -- but first, please welcome to the Alamo City a group performing the Wicked Witch of the East's least favorite song. (scattered laughter from crowd) Performing "Can You Stand The Rain" -- (more laughter) -- NEW EDITION! (audience cheers)

Nice job, gents. Well done. Now it's time for the biggies -- starting with the best of Channel 1. Channel 1 of NGC is home to totally original ideas. So, if "Magnum, P.I." or "Dynasty" had game elements, they wouldn't be on Channel 1! (audience laughs)Here to present the nominees, my co-host on the Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour -- Tony Lane! (audience cheers)

Thank you, Doug. When you host an original game show, you need to have an encyclopedia of knowledge, the skills and strategy on a playing field, and give away virtual cash and prizes. These are some of the ingredients of creating a perfect original game show. And now... here are the nominees for Best Original Net Game-- THE DICE GAME The Dice Game, CBS. Gold Rush, syndication. And Punch Card, Game Show Network. And the award for Best Original Net Game goes to-- (opens envelope)

On behalf of Brandon Scruggs, the true force behind Gold Rush, and on behalf of myself, I humbly thank you, and I also want to wish Frank Sartori all the best as he continues Gold Rush on here, and finally I'd like to congratulate all of the winners tonight.
Brandon, this award truly belongs to you.
Thank you all and God Bless.

Hey, Bill, don't run off too far. Earlier in the show (production assistant runs to hand Bill award) -- you won this in a four-way tie for best moment in a netgame.
It was for your $1,000,000 win on Second Chance. Wanna say a few words about that?

(more cheers)Hopefully we'll see Bill again before we close up shop. Great guy. Meantime, let's welcome another great guy. The nominees for Best of Channel 2 provide dicey situations -- because they both involve dice. Here with those nominees is the star of The Dice Game -- Matt Bingel! (more cheers)

(applause and cheers as music plays) Thank you so much. Aww. (Woman shouts "Love you, Bingel") Love you too sir. (laughter) Well, well, well. I'm up here anyway. So, I gotta do it. Hello, San Antonio!! (applause and cheers) And now for my acceptance speech. (laughter) No, no. Before I get to the nominees, congratulations to Gold Rush for something no one has ever done. Snub me of an award. (laughter) First off, a special thank you to another nominee for a different category, Mr. Hunter Dillon for helping me with our recent format change. Thanks a lot. (applause) But thank you to everyone who voted for The Dice Game. I'm sure it was very close between The Dice Game and Gold Rush. (applause) And since I'm here on this fabulous network of NBC, (applause and cheers) I would like to give a big thank you to Mr. Tony Lane. Not too long ago on this network, we taped a few episodes of the very popular Match Game Hollywood Squares Hour at Universal Studios Hollywood. I was fortunate enough to guest announce an episode. So, thank you Tony for that. (applause and cheers) If you ever need a guest announcer, let me know. Now, hosting an original net game takes a lot. Going to the drawing board for ideas, theme music, networks, having the right CEO. (audience reacts) Hey! My show's on CBS, ok? Anyways, hosting an original net game can be a lot of fun. Trust me, I've hosted The Dice Game for 4 years. Hosting a net game based on a popular Card Game or Board Game can also be exciting as well. Putting your own twist on a classic game can lead to big payouts (no pun intended). Here are the nominees for Best of Channel 2. They are: Crag The Numbers Game. Doug Morris, Syndication.
and Vegas Dice Game. Dayo Kayode, Syndication.
(applause) Hmm. Both are dice games. Just what I like. (laughter) I hold in my hand the winner of this award. (applause and cheers) Carnac must be looking at me in disgust right now. (laughter and applause) And the winner is.... CRAG THE NUMBERS GAME! DOUG MORRIS!
(applause and cheers) (Note: to hear an audio version of this, click here)

Ohhh -- wow. Thank you all for this great award. This was another great year for Crag. We had an exciting tournament of champions. The tourney saw both of our finalists crack the seven-figure mark in total winnings. Frank Sartori ended up taking us for more than $2,000,000 in total winnings. And we've got more fun, more dice, and more great games on the way. Thank you! (more cheers)

Now we flip the channel to Channel 3. And to present our next set of nominees, we are in the presence of sitcom greatness. He's starred in his own sitcom, two animated series and even his own talk show. He also got to guest host an episode of the first standalone revival of "Hollywood Squares". All the way from Melmac, a nice hand -- for ALF! (audience cheers)

ALF: Hiya!
(huge applause)
Thank you! Hey! For those of you don't know, I'm ALF. I have to say it is great to be here on stage at the NGAs. Who here has ever been to a fast food restaurant? On Melmac, if you ordered extra crispy, they gave you a cat with arthritis! Ha! Ha! I kill me!
(audience laughs and applauds)
Yeah! I got plenty more jokes, but I am here to present an award. Original and non-game show creations are nice, but we want to know who has the best game show adaptation. Here are the nominees for the best of Channel 3. As I announce each one, I ask you hold your applause.
Bill's $100,000 Pyramid
Family Feud: Seasons
High Rollers (CBS)
Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour
On a Roll
Press Your Luck
$ale of the Century
Tic Tac Dough
Wheel of Fortune: Daytime Seasons
Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy! Hour
(applause and cheers)
I hold in my hand the envelope.
(cheers and applause)

Where shall I start...? I want to say thanks to my partners in crime Doug Morris... our Mr. Center Square Greg Palmer. If it weren't for the return of the two game shows being resurrected, I would have been digging ditches. I want to say a very special thanks to our executive producer Jenny Mullin, our director Chris Darley, my pal and retired host of "Gambit PM" Bill McDee, our men in charge of production Mark Liotta and Cory Lawrence, and everyone at The Burbank Studios for the hospitality of our stars and our studio audience.
Doug... care to share the warmth?
