After thinking about my previous post for a bit, it occurred to me that even though what I coded is based on a tournament, there is a way that I can play it out like a regular show. So, I deleted that thread and abandoned the tournament idea. The show will now simply be entitled "Match Game" and should play out much faster -- I will make each episode be just one complete game (A/B questions, Super Match and Big Money match). The format will be similar to the Gene Rayburn version of the show from the 1970s, with these exceptions: 1. During each question, all 6 of our “stars” will play, regardless of how many previous matches they’ve made. This means that a contestant would have 12 matches if they matched everybody on both questions. 2. The person leading after question 1 chooses A or B for question 2 (or in the case of a tie, whomever hasn't chosen yet gets to choose). 3. If there is a tie after each contestant has had two questions, we continue on without resetting the score with sets of A/B tiebreaker questions until the score is no longer tied. 4. We will use a selection off our Star Board as opposed to a spin of the Star Wheel to determine the amount and star for the Big Money match. The amount can either remain the same, be doubled or be tripled. 5. The winner returns as champion on the next show and there will be no limit to how many times that person can repeat as champion. As for the questions on the show, they will be actual questions from various versions over the years, mostly from the 1970s, but a few others may show up, such as the British and Australian versions. What I would like to do is have the stars either write or type their answer on these cards which I modeled after the ones from the 1970s version:
If you right-click on that image and then save it to your computer, you can use it to write or type your answer on, if you're playing as a star. The way it will work is that the stars will PM me their answers, then I'll call upon the contestant to give his/her answer and then I'll call upon the stars to reveal their answers, one at a time, by posting an image of whatever they wrote on this card. This will give the stars a chance to show off their personality as they reveal their answer. With these revisions, I still need 8 players, but now your roles will be fixed, so when you sign up, you need to indicate whether you want to be a contestant or a star. We need only 2 contestants, so once we have two, everyone who joins after that will be a star. Frank Sartori had signed up on the other thread I wrote, so I think it's only fair that he gets first dibs. Once Frank signs up and chooses either contestant or star, I'll need 7 more people, please. Please sign-up by replying here. The show will begin shortly after we get our 8 players. Cheers.

If I may make a suggestion, I would move the sign-ups to Channel 3. That way, you'll have a better chance of getting people to sign up.

Excellent, thanks everyone. Stars, please PM me a number from 1 to 1000. I will be using this number to determine what order to introduce you. We'll begin shortly after all stars have PM'd me. Cheers.

Intro Theme Part 1(Rich Fields: "Get ready to match the stars! From Sam Ryan's Lingo/Boggle Hour ... ... Sam Ryan! (audience begins continuous applause) From Millionaire: 20th Anniversary Show ... ... Evan Hatfield!
From Wheel of Fortune: Daytime Seasons ... ... Kevin Kolsen! From Jeopardy! ... ... Frank Sartori! From Steve's Line Is It Anyway ... ... Steven Solsak and from the $100,000 Pyramid ... ... Bill Skinner! As we play the star-studded, big money... ... Match Game! Intro Music Part 2And now, here's your host for Match Game...Glen Brown!" (applause continues as the doors at the back of the stage slide open and I emerge, descending the stairs, giving a royal wave to everyone as I descend) (applause and music slowly fades out as I pick up my classic Sony telescoping microphone)
Thank you Rich, hello friends! I figured with the recent nuptials over in England, waving to you like royalty would be appropriate at this particular juncture! (audience chuckles) Thank you for joining us for Match Game. We are going to have a WONDERFUL time thanks in large part to this sublime selection of celebrities on my left over here. Hello stars!!

Hello Frank! How are things going on Jeopardy and what else have you got planned in the future?

Jeopardy! is going fantastic. I have also been working on shows such as Tic Tac Dough, High Rollers and Press Your Luck. I, at one point, did have Millionaire and Deal or No Deal going on, which I hope to bring back soon.

Frank, that's terrific, we'll look forward to seeing those. Speaking of Millionaire, Evan, I can't believe it's been 20 years already! I remember watching that first Regis episode in what seems like a whole other life for me now! I mean, I was even married back then -- what was I thinking!?!? (audience chuckles) Are you enjoying yourself on that show so far, Evan?

I mean, if I wasn't enjoying it, I wouldn't have been doing the show in the first place! In all seriousness, it's a lot of fun to host. We're not far into the run yet, but I'm hoping I'll be lucky enough to be able to give somebody that million dollar check at some point.

Well, as long as you don't goof up and try to give away $20 million like Regis tried to do in that clip you showed! Best of luck with Millionaire, Evan.
Now Steven, I thought I told you, don't call me honey while we're on the air, darling! (audience laughs)
Shall we forge ahead and create some applause for our two contestants today -- Nels Snesrud and Kourtney Wilson! (everyone applauds)
Nels, let's begin with you, shall we? Tell us the story of your life in 8 words or less -- go. (audience chuckles)
