Yeah, some of those old Nick games were great -- Double Dare premieres in about a month I think, so it'll be cool to see how they do it. Good luck to you, Nels.
The other challenger today is Kourtney Wilson. Welcome to Match Game, Kourtney -- give us a point or two about you, if you would please.

Well, that was 12 words, but who's counting! (audience chuckles) A collector of cigar boxes, eh? As a kid, I was fascinated with cigars. I loved everything about them and all the interesting cigar boxes my father had from all over the world was really cool, so I think that's a great idea for a collection! Nels and Kourtney, you'll have two opportunities to match our stars as often as you can. At the end of Round 2, whomever has matched the most wins the game, becomes our first champion and goes on to play Super Match, which could lead to a payoff of more than $15,000! (audience begins to applaud)
We'll start the game right after we finish this -- see what I did there -- start, finish -- oh, never mind, fade to black and all that already! (audience laughter, applause, music and picture slowly fade out while the camera zooms out to an ever-widening shot)

(fade in from black) Oh, hello there, shall we carry on? Actually, we have been carrying on -- shall we proceed?
Prior to the show, we were going to draw straws to see who would go first. We couldn't find any straws though, so we played a few rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors but it kept ending in a tie, so we just said to heck with it, Nels, you go first. (audience chuckles)
Nels, you may have A or B -- which one strikes your fancy?

Nels, you think about an answer please while the stars write down theirs.

Alright Nels, we're ready for your answer now. The flight instructor said to the pilot, 'Congratulations! You're the first pilot to fly a 747 to NYC and land it on the?

Sure, any famous building or monument like that or the Chrysler Building or the Statue of Liberty would work -- I suppose now with the heroics of Captain Sully, even the Hudson River would apply, although that was a Scare Bus and not a Boeing!
*walks over to the stars*
Sam, good to see you on Match Game! How are things on the Lingo/Boggle Hour?

Dank je. Now then, prepare the... well, not a good start to the pilot, you see, I did a pun on two things, what a plane normally lands on and what you call New York, (Flips card) (Audience groans a bit)

Well, as the Dutch people say, "Nu komt de aap uit de mouw" which makes about as much sense as that answer! (audience chuckles)
Evan, we're looking for an Empire State Building -- would you show us yours, please?

What's amazing to me is how they can stop that plane in only 12 feet! Them brake pads am smokin'!!
There's a match for Nels. Now we come to Mr. Kolson who is gearing up to host the 2001 season version of Wheel -- I'm looking forward to watching that, Kevin!

(I thought I was sixth, sorry.) That's great! Always nice to do a little reminiscing, so be sure to catch Wheel: Seasons on this channel. Check your local listings, even for 2001. As for the pilot, he should have taken a pointer from Hotel Mario and read the instructions. The plane landed on the: (Also, my last name is Kolsen, not Kolson.)

Well, spelling doesn't count on Match Game anyway! My apologies, Mr. Kolsen!
* I walk back along the row to face the lower tier *
Frank, the flight instructor said he was the first one to land a 747 on the Empire State Building, according to Nels. What do you say to that?

If I was playing, I probably would have said the Statue of Liberty. Can't you see the 747 perfectly balanced on top of that torch!?! Now that's some skilled piloting, folks! (audience chuckles)
That's three in a row for you, Nels. Steve, your "Steve's Line Is It Anyway" show looks like it's going to be pretty interesting. I can't wait to see who Mr. Palmer will be going on a date with!

Nels, you're doing very well with this question! Now, we come to Bill Sk -- wait a second, where's Bill at?
*director's mic opens* Director: "Uh Glen, he went to Miami, he'll be gone until Tuesday"
I see, well in that case, we will pause until Tuesday. Happy Memorial Day Weekend, everyone.

(And now that I'm back from a very rainy Miami, let's continue with the game...) This probably won't be it, but I think there are lots of landmarks that could be used here. I believe that they tried to land at LaGuardia, but instead landed in...

Well, there would certainly be a lot more space to land it there than the Empire State Building, that's for sure. Nels, you did pretty good with that one for a first-rounder! Kourtney, let's see if you can catch up with this one...
Kourtney, you ponder that if you would please while our cast of characters sends me their responses.
