Most festivals like that are filled with people so I think I'll go a little higher.

[FRANK] [KEVIN]
[HIGHER] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [250,000] [ ] [ ] [ ]
[DING](audience reacts) Wow...... Kevin thinks 250,000 did this Peruvian dance and Frank thinks it's higher. Well, let's see. The actual number of people who participated in the world's largest Peruvian folk dance is.....
[FRANK] [KEVIN]
[ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [3,172] [250,000] [ ] [ ] [ LOWER ]
[DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]Only 3,172. It's much lower. Kevin has control. Now, Kevin....... (I look to the audience) Now I know how Steve Harvey feels. (audience laughs) Kevin, do you know... how much coordination it would take for 250 thousand people to do the exact same thing at the same time, all following the exact same choreography?

I bet there are that many people dancing the Cotton Eyed Joe to weddings every day. Not that unheard of.

Tell you what, I'm going to explain it to you during the break, if I don't lose my train of thought first. Let's get back to the game. (I walk back to the board) 250,000 people indeed..... Kevin, here's your first card.... (I flip it over)
[FRANK] [3H]<6D>[CS][CS][CS]
[KEVIN] [7S][CS][CS][CS][CS]
(audience reacts)
A seven! Stupid question, but I have to ask it. Do you want to change that card?

(Felisha hands me another card) That's what I thought you said. When you win a Hi-Lo question, you have the right to change your base card, and this time, it becomes..... (I turn it over)
[FRANK] [3H]<6D>[CS][CS][CS]
[KEVIN] <9H>[CS][CS][CS][CS]
A nine! (audience reacts) Well, you have to call this one.
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Jul 6, 2017 16:48:07 GMT -5
Wow, got the inverse. I'll call lower!
|
|

Post by palmer7 on Jul 6, 2017 23:09:08 GMT -5
Lower than a nine..... (I turn the next card over) [FRANK] [3H]<6D>[CS][CS][CS]
[KEVIN] <9H>[3H][CS][CS][CS]
A three! [DING, APPLAUSE]

Higher than a 3..... (I turn the next card over) [FRANK] [3H]<6D>[CS][CS][CS]
[KEVIN] <9H>[3H][8C][CS][CS]
A eight! [DING, APPLAUSE]Play or freeze?
|
|

Post by koopakid17 on Jul 7, 2017 0:04:59 GMT -5
Freeze!

Post by palmer7 on Jul 7, 2017 10:01:33 GMT -5
(I move the freeze bar) [FRANK] [3H]<6D>[CS][CS][CS]
[KEVIN] [9H][3H]<8C>[CS][CS]
Following the sage advice of the man from Chicago. Kevin now has a one-card lead. But Frank has this next question. (I walk to G2-T2 and pull the next question out) (question later)

Frank..... our man on the street went to a New York City subway station, and he asked 100 New Yorkers....
Have you ever fallen asleep on the subway?
(audience laughs)
How many New Yorkers claimed they had fallen asleep on the subway?
|
|
|
Post by fdriscoll22 on Jul 7, 2017 16:59:38 GMT -5
Well, I have fallen asleep on the Bay Area subway a couple times so that number might be high. I'll say 72.

I actually can't fall asleep on moving trains, strange as that may sound. That said, I think people have done that at least once in their life. I'll say higher.

[FRANK] [KEVIN]
[ ] [ ] [ ] [ 72 ] [ 21 ] [ ] [ LOWER ] [ ] [ ]
[DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]21, much lower. Frank has control, but I like your reasoning, Kevin. However, New York is the "City that Never Sleeps". So, there. Frank, you've got control. (I walk back to the board) [FRANK] [3H]<6D>[CS][CS][CS]
[KEVIN] [9H][3H]<8C>[CS][CS]
And currently, you have a six. You can change it if you'd like.

Glad to hear it. Kevin Kolson, everyone! (audience cheers as Kevin exits) Well, Frank, you've won $1,000 in cash. We're going to invite you to watch the next game from Winner's Row. (Lexi escorts him to Winner's Row, actually Contestants' Row) We'll get to work finding him a challenger after this commercial time-out. [COMMERCIAL CUE, CHEERS AND APPLAUSE](fade to commercial)
(fade in, cheers and applause) Greg: Welcome back to Card Sharks. Now, during the break, I was explaining to Kevin here about this world record set by this city in Peru. Now, here's a picture of what it looked like from the air. We have Kevin up here for just a short moment. Kevin, you don't seriously expect 250,000 people to fit into this space, do you?
