Okie doke. Second roll of the round coming up. (Lenny rolls)(scattered cheers and laughs) This again?!?! Wow. 4 and 6 -- or 10. Lenny, small dose of bad news. The sixes, much to Drake's dismay, are gone and blocked. You may still take the remaining four -- or one of the tens.

All right. Two rolls left. Matt's hoping for a double. (Lenny rolls)But it's a 1 and a 3 -- or a 4. Partially due to our goof, you can't do much damage. Ones are gone and blocked. You may take any 3 or the 4 on top.

(Beth touches screen) Playing the sum gets you an I. Lenny, you may guess the top row's clue or take the last roll of the round.

All right. Last roll of the round... (Lenny rolls)...3 and a 2... ...or a 5. Again, due to our snafu, can't do much damage.

(Beth touches screen) And you get an S. Now -- you may guess the middle clue if you'd like, Lenny. If you're wrong or want to pass, we move on to another name game.

(TPiR Pathfinder wrong move sfx) Unfriendly buzzer says that's not it. Now, as we prepare for our next name game, we should note we're now in "play or pass" mode. At least one roll outside of doubles cannot allow you to take a letter. So -- if you have a feeling you're going to throw numbers and a sum that can't be made, you may pass the dice. Anytime you do throw something that can't be made, it's just as bad as doubles -- meaning your opponent takes command and a free letter. (FF reveal sfx)So with that, it's time for another six-letter name game. Here's your question. Who was on a roll -- when he won three runnings of the Daytona 500 and five runnings of the Brickyard 400? (ding)
(Lenny and Matt, please PM me your answer and a buzz code from 1-100. In the event you win this particular name game, please also indicate whether you'd like to roll or pass the dice.)

18 redrangerdude 77 mringgenberg 88 random.org(Matt buzzes in)Matt? Matt: Gordon (dings; audience applause)That's it. Jeff Gordon. One of those names synonymous with stock car racing. Matt, you've won your first name game. Question is would you like to play or pass? Matt: I'll play. Then please step into the box. Kat's handed you the dice for the first time today. Thanks, Kat. Matt -- you -- are on a roll. (Matt rolls)First roll's a 2 and a 3... ...or a 5. Twos are gone -- but you may take a 3 or the 5 at the top.

(Beth touches screen)Fifth letter from the top row is an A. Looks like we're, eventually, going to have roll sums higher than 6 just to stay in business. So -- with that -- Matt, would you like to guess the top clue, roll again or pass the dice to Lenny?

Passing with three rolls left. Matt, please step out. Lenny, please step on in. Basically, you're looking to avoid doubles and sums lower than 7. If the roll totals 3 or includes one 3, you're still good. Let's see what happens. (Lenny rolls)And the 1 and 3 saves your bacon for now. Obviously can't play the sum of 4 -- and the ones are gone and blocked as well. Which 3 would you like to take, Lenny?

All right. Again -- looking for a roll involving a 3 -- or a sum higher than 6. (Lenny rolls)(buzz) (audience groans) And a 5 and a 1 or a 6. That won't work. Sorry, Lenny. Let's change places, please, players. Matt, you're in the box. Before you make a decision on the last roll of the round... ...please take one free letter.

(Beth touches screen)And you get an I. Matt, you may guess the middle clue, take the last roll of the round -- or pass the dice back to Lenny. Doubles and all sums lower than 7 are still bad -- unless you roll a sum of 3 or have a 3 in a roll.

(dings; audience applause) That's it. Now -- Matt -- if you solve this puzzle correctly -- you'll have a chance to win hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and/or merch. If you're wrong, you still have the option to roll or pass.
