Is it "PLEASE" for $100? By golly that's right! (applause) So the first $100 of this round is scored and is yours, for the moment Matt B. Remember, we play 4 words, and only the player with the most money after the 4th roll of the money dice wins the round and keeps the cash. Here are the money dice. On one die two of the sides have a "ROLL AGAIN", one of those 2 also says "Double". That will double the value on the other die, but watch out. Although 5 sides of that other die contain money amounts, one side is a Bandit. If you roll him, you lose all your cash in your bank. For that reason, you may wish to pass the money dice instead to your opponent. Matt B. do you want to roll the money dice yourself, or pass them to your opponent? 1 in 6 chance of a bandit, 1 in 3 chance of getting another roll....

Might as well, it's very early on in the round... And he rolls: $75 and roll again! and he rolls: Another $125 and roll again!!! $300 at risk, and he rolls: Another $175! (applause) So Matt B. has $475 after only 1 word! But the winner of the round is not determined until after the 4th word and the 4th roll of those fateful and pivotal money dice. Back to finish Round 1, right after these announcements, won't you watch...(looking at the word above me)...."PLEASE"?

(applause) Thank you kindly. Back here in the middle of Round 1 here on Dice Words. The rules state that the player who is behind gets the dice first. Matt R., that would be you. This next Dice Word is worth $150 plus possibly a whole lot more. Matt R. would you like to roll first or would you prefer Matt B. to roll first?

A 3 and a 1. Let's reveal those positions now please... A "D" and an "N" for you Matt R. Do you wish to try to solve the word, or pass the dice to Matt B? Remember again, if you guess and are wrong, your opponent gets to uncover 1 free letter of his choosing.

I think rolling is a very wise choice. I'll tell you both why. Of the 36 possible dice combinations, only 6 will cause you to lose your turn when 3 letters are exposed. In this case the roll of a 1-2, 1-2, 2-1, 2-3, 3-1 or 3-2. If you roll 1-1 or 2-2 or 3-3, that's a double and you'll still get one free letter. So let's see what Matt rolls.... Oh a great roll! 4 and 5, so all the word is exposed except one letter. Matt for $150 and control of the money dice, what's this Dice Word?

For $150 and control of the money dice, is it "DANGER"? (repeated dinging) It is! Matt you now have $150 and control over the money dice. You may roll them yourself or pass them to your opponent if you have a fear of the Bandit. What's your pleasure?
