Wait, before you touch any screens, Melissa, please. I do want to answer Bryan's question. Yes, you may take a 1 from one row and a 2 from another, Bryan. If you don't want to split, we'll have to hold you to the 1 and 2 from the middle.

Alright go ahead and split them.

Okay -- now ya gotta tell us how you want to split 'em.
(Bryan, please tell us "I'll take the 1 from the ______ row and the 2 from the ______ row" or something to that effect -- while filling in each blank with "top", "middle" or "bottom".)

Okay, 1 from Row 1 and 2 from Row 2.

(Melissa touches screen) The 1 from the top gives us a C and... (Melissa touches screen)...the 2 from the middle row gives us an I. Bryan, you may guess the clue in the top row, guess the clue in the middle row -- or take the final roll of the round.

(dings; audience applause)That's it. Now -- Bryan -- you have a chance to win the game, the match and the championship right now. Recall you're up one game and $3000 over Kourtney. Solve this puzzle and you're the new champion. If you're wrong about the puzzle guess, no worries and you still get the roll the dice. For all the marbles, what's the solution?

All right, head back to your buzzer please. Kourtney, chance to get back in business. Here's the next name game. (FF reveal sfx)Nine letters in this famous last name. Your clue... He's still on a roll -- in the world of rock and roll. (ding)
(Kourtney and Bryan, please PM me your answer and a buzz code from 1-100.)

(Kourtney elected to pass -- so...) (Bryan buzzes in) Bryan? Bryan: McCartney (dings; audience applause)Paul McCartney. Still going strong. All right, Bryan, please step back into the boss. Alicia hands you back the dice. You're once again -- on a roll. (Bryan rolls)First roll this round is a 3 and a 4 or a 7. And -- you don't have much choice. You can't play the sum since one 7 is blocked and the other is gone. Every 3 is gone and blocked. So -- would you like to take the 4 in the middle row or the 4 in the bottom row?

Go ahead and do 4 on Row 2 please.

Okay. Kourtney's over here hoping you roll doubles. (Bryan rolls)But it's a 4 and a 2... ...or a 6. Obviously, you have to make your move on the bottom row.

Not what I really wanted, but 2 and 4, Row 3
|
|
|
Post by dougmorrisontheair on Jul 19, 2016 12:52:12 GMT -5
(Melissa touches screen)From the bottom row, an R and... (Melissa touches screen)...a Z. Bryan, before you make any move, I should note there's at least one roll outside of doubles cannot be made. So we offer the option to pass. Let's say on the next roll someone rolled a 3 and a 4 for a 7. All the threes, fours and sevens are gone and blocked and therefore cannot be made. When that happens to a player, his opponent takes over the remaining rolls and a free letter along the way. Doubles still do the same thing. So, Bryan, you may guess the bottom clue, roll again or pass the dice to Kourtney.

(dings; audience applause) You dreaded going to the bottom clue and now look what happens. You have another chance, Bryan, at winning the match. If you're right, the championship's yours. If now, you'll have a chance to roll or pass the dice. With CHARACTER and FROZEN plus portions of the middle clue exposed, what's the solution?

(scattered woahs) All right, roll 'em, please. (Bryan rolls)It's a 5 and a 1 or a 6. (scattered applause) Sixes are all gone. So you can't play the sum. But you may take the 1 and 5. Let's go ahead and give you those letters. (Melissa touches screen) You get an S and... (Melissa touches screen) ...and an L. Bryan, you may guess the middle clue, roll again or pass. Keep in mind the player nominated to roll must come up with a sum higher than a 7 and, of course, avoid doubles.
