Good choices there, resulting in an M probably where you expected it...the beginning of the last word. (ding) For $4,100 and the lead Matt, can you determine what fishermen read?

Raymond gives away the U and that wasn't a good giveaway as there is a U in the middle of the fourth word here... (ding) Matt, that gives you a free guess at it. For four grand and the lead, what do fishermen read?

I'm afraid that is also a bad giveaway Matt as there is an F at the end of the second word. (ding) Your turn for a free guess, Raymond. Do you know what fishermen read?

Great choices for Raymond this time, giving away the B and lighting up three Es... (ding ding ding) Raymond, can you determine what fishermen read?

(ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding) (audience groans and then applauds Raymond) That's what they read alright! I remember finding some magazines on my uncle's boat one time when I was young -- I don't remember them being this brand though, but that's a story for another time! My thanks once again to Mr. Doug Morris who provided us with that definition as well as our opening teaser. Thanks, Doug!
On this show, one letter can make all the difference and I think that E did it for Raymond as he takes a commanding lead in the match! It's not over yet though Matt -- you could make an amazing come-from-behind win here since our final definition of the match will initially be worth almost $9,000!
Who will be our first champion and play in our Bonus Round? Will it be Raymond? Will it be Matt? We'll find out when Definition continues following these words...
(applause and fade out)

Definition Theme Song(fade in with applause) And, we are back and ready for our final definition of the match. It is now or never time for Matt Ringgenberg, so he will have the first go at this definition... (announcer Dave Devall) Definition: A saying about certain ex-football players. An 8-word 39-letter puzzle for you Matt and it's worth $8,900 and the match if you by chance know it now. If not, please give your first letter away for Game 3.

Good choices for Matt to begin the third game as he gets rid of the Z and fills in three Rs, here, here and here... (ding ding ding) Matt, can you tell us a saying about certain ex-football players?

Fantastic choices by Raymond that time, as there's no X and there are -- count 'em -- one, two, three, four, five Es in the puzzle... (ding ding ding ding ding) For a total of $9,400 and the championship Raymond, do you know a saying about certain ex-football players?

Normally a solid choice as a giveaway, but not so in this puzzle I'm afraid Matt as there is one Q that goes here... (ding) Raymond, this gives you a free chance at it! For the win, do you know a saying about certain ex-football players?

Another bad one to give away as there is a P that begins the seventh word. (ding) For the championship Raymond, do you know a saying about certain ex-football players?
