Champion John Lopez is back with $4200. The Grand Slam Jackpot is at $25,500; and someone could possibly drive home in a Hyundai Equus worth more than SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! Who would like to challenge him? (Those who played in shows 7 & 8 are waitlisted)

(Theme starts) Announcer Dan: This is our returning champion, John Lopez. So far, he has won $4200 in cash. He is back today to try to win one of these five brand new Hyundais including this luxurious Equus today on TOP CARD! (Applause) And now, here is our host of Top Card, Joe Emerson! (Applause as I enter) Me: Good day to you all! Welcome to another exciting installment of Top Card! On yesterday's show, every single round winner got a 21, however luck ran out in the bonus round on our champion when that dastardly Joker popped up. However, he's back today, let's meet this aspiring writer, John Lopez! (Cheers and applause) Me: John, it looks and sounds like you have a few fans in the crowd. Anyone you want to say hello to?

Me: Fair enough. I'm sure they are hoping you strike it rich today. However, there are two people who will try to stop you. Here to introduce them is our very own Leslie Banks!
(Contestant Cue, applause)
Me: Good morning, Leslie! Lovely to see you, as always.
Leslie: As is to see you, Joe.
Me: We've got a lot to offer today, including that brand new Equus.
Leslie: That is such a gorgeous car.
Me: I'm sure all three contestants would like to drive home in that. Who will John compete with today?
Leslie: Our first challenger is a council leader named Darion Daniel.
Me: Greetings, Darion. Tell us more about what you do.

Me: Two creative minds here with two writers as contestants. It's a pleasure for you to join us. Leslie, who is our third creative mind?
Leslie: Our third contestant works at my favorite donut shop, Krispy Kreme. From Virginia Beach, VA, meet Raymond Weaver!
Me: Normally we don't plug businesses like this, but since they are our sponsor today, Leslie, why don't you do the honors?
Leslie: Everyone in the audience will get a gift card to Krispy Kreme! (cheers and applause)
Me: Welcome to the show, Raymond. What's your favorite donut?

Me: Sounds tasty, but the taste of victory is much sweeter. Much good luck to all three of you. (Applause as Leslie and I go to our respective podiums)
Gentlemen, the object of the game is to get as close to 21 without busting. Whoever is the closest without busting wins the round and $1000 cash. Get 21 on the nose, and that bonus increases to $2100. You build your hand by answering question correctly, and deciding whether to keep the card behind that category or trading it with the top card on Leslie's deck. John, our champion, will select first after these messages.

(Theme and applause fade out) Me: We are back! Before I go any further, starting with today's show we have a new perk. Shuffled in the board's deck is a special bonus card called the "VAULT" card. Any time prizes are lost in the bonus round, they are placed in a vault. It may or may not show up on a certain day, but when it does, the contestant who reveals the VAULT card wins all the prizes in the vault regardless of the outcome of the game. When that occurs, the contestant will have to take the top card to add to his or her total. Currently, the vault has over $5000 in prizes! (Woos from audience.) Having that said, John, you will go first in selecting one of these categories.

( Old WOF Buzz) Me: Sorry, that's not correct. ( John DINGs in) Me: John? John: France. ( Applause) Me: That's the country. It's in Belfort, France. John, perhaps there is a good card there for you. Maybe I'm lyin'.
Me: It's a TEN! ( Cheers) Keep it or take the top card? What's your desire? (You will have a deadline of 7-Aug 23:59.)

(Applause from the audience) I would do the same thing. Leslie, on the other hand... Leslie: (Gives me a dirty look) I'll give YOU a ten. Me: At any rate, please select the next category.

Okay contestant! Carmen Sandiego has been spotted recently with Waldo in a certain country. Which country would you find kookaburras, Drizabones, and billabongs? BUZZCODE: 68 John: 59 (DING!) Darion: 27 Raymond: 34 Me: John, where in the world are Carmen and Waldo? John: Australia. (Applause) Me: We found the missing couple, now John is hoping to find the vault card or an ace. What's the card? Me: (Oooohs). An interesting turn of events. That jack will increase your score to 20, or will you exchange it for the top card? (Deadline for decision is 8-Aug, 23:59 EDT)

(Applause) Just like that, you, John, have a score of 20. Raymond and Darion, it is possible to get 21, and it's been done before. Darion, since you were the first challenger to respond to the contestant search, you pick next. (Deadline is 8/9 at 23:59 EDT).

If you know your Presidents, you'll have a 1 in 44 probability of getting this correct. Hands on plungers, Darion and Raymond.
Which President was known as the "Great Communicator"?
BUZZCODE: 84
DARION: 66 (DING) RAYMOND: Passed
Me: Darion buzzed in.
Darion: FDR (Old school WOF Buzzer)
Me: Good guess, but that is wrong. Raymond, do you wish to try?
(Three seconds elapses, Raymond shakes his head "no".)
(Buzzer sounds again)
Me: The correct answer was Ronald Reagan. That card is now dead, so Darion, please select another category.

(click) (click) (typing) (Windows chime) There we go! I knew it was saved somewhere on the hard drive. Get ready to answer this: What document got its first reading in Boston July 18, 1776 at the Old State House? BUZZCODE: 34 Darion: 35 (DING) Raymond: 63 Me: Yes, Darion. Darion: Declaration of Independence (applause) Me: That is correct. We hold these cards to be self evident that all decks must be cut equally. (Scattered laughs) Anyway, the card is a........... Seven. Do you take it or take the top card? (Audience yells suggestions, deadline is 8/11 23:59 EDT.)

Me: Let's turn things over to Leslie here. What do you have? Leslie: It's a smaller start... Me: Not the 10 or ace you wanted, but there are still 5 categories remaining. Which one is next?

I apologize, but my computer has either a bad power supply unit or a bad motherboard. Either way, my computer is out of order, and I cannot access my files for Top Card at this time. So, this game is paused.
As a token of apology, every day my computer is broken, $1000 will be added to the grand slam jackpot.
Currently the jackpot is at:
$29,500
