Mind your p's and q's; this could be for the game! Upsilon is a letter in what alphabet? BUZZCODE: 9 D: 87 J: 41 (DING!) John, again. John: Greek alphabet. (Applause) Me: You know your alphabet from alpha to omega. Though some nice letters to see now are J, Q, or K. Let's see your next card... (Audience Groans) Me: If you take it, you'll have a soft 19. You can also exchange it for the top card and hope for a 10 or face card. What's your pleasure, John? (Audience yells out ideas)

Leslie, I'm not going to dilly dally; do you have what it takes for John to win, or is Darion still alive? (Audience groans) Me: It's not the card John was looking for, but Darion, you are still in the game! John, do you want to freeze on 17, or do you wish to continue?

(scattered applause) Some people agree with your decision to hit on that soft 17. Let's see if it works out for you. Of piling on, misdirection, or pass interference, which one isn't a penalty in football? BUZZCODE: 36 D: 34 (DING!) J: 29 Darion? Darion: Misdirection (Applause) That is correct. What would you like to do with.... The seven? Keep it or take the top card? (Audience yells suggestions...)

Did he make the "better decision, Leslie? Leslie: I think so. (Cheers from audience) Me: Darion, you have a 10! If you can get an ace, then you will be the new champion. Where do you think it is?

Good luck, whatever your astrological sign may be. Which Italian astronomer died in 1642, the year of Newton's birth? Buzzcode: 48 Darion: 52 (DING) John: 27 Darion: Galileo Galilei (Applause) Me: That's the one! If that card is an ace, you will be our new champion. Else, the game will continue. (Sustained bell, Theme starts, applause)
(Leslie and I approach the contestants' podiums)
Me: We have a new champion! We'll talk to you in a bit. However, we must say good-bye to John Lopez. You will not be leaving us empty-handed. You'll be taking home a check worth $5,200!
Leslie: Any plans for that money, John?

Leslie: Fair enough, John. Spend it wisely.
Me: One more round of applause for John Lopez! Darion, you did it! Perhaps your luck will continue and you'll win thousands and thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. Don't go away; the bonus round is next!

We're back with our new champion, Darion Daniel, who has won $3100 so far. Right now, he can potentially win well over $100,000 in cash and prizes. Here are the rules for Top Card Plus. The object is to get to 21 in four cards or fewer without going over or picking the Joker. At any time you think you will go over or pick the Joker, you can stop and take the prizes you have selected. This is because, if you do go over 21 or pick the Joker, the game will be over, and you will lose everything won in this bonus round. Should you get 21 on the nose, you will win one of these Hyundais: It could be the Elantra, (woos and woo-hoos) The Veloster, (Yeahs and shouts of excitement) The Sonata hybrid, (woos) The Tucson, (The cowboy "yee-haw") or The Equus. (Cheers and whistles) I think there's a cowboy who really likes the Tucson. (Audience laughs). Pick one of these envelopes from Leslie's hand, labeled A, B, C, D, or E. We'll then see what car you may win.

(Leslie lays down the envelopes and readies herself to model the chosen car.)
Darion, you'll be playing for.....
The Tucson! (Applause, "Buzzword" theme starts)
Dan, tell us more about this car!
Dan: It's the 2015 Hyundai Tucson GLS. It features a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, 6 speed automatic transmission, All Wheel Drve, 6-way adjustable driver seat including height adjustment, and bluetooth phone technology. Furnished by Dutch Miller Hyundai. This car is worth: $23,545!
(Theme fades, timpani roll as lighting changes for the start of the bonus round)
Me: One other thing Darion, if you pick a 10 and an ace off the board in the first two turns, you will win all 9 prizes off the board, the car, and this! (Points up)
(Fanfare as elaborate LCD screen lowers and Leslie gestures towards it.)
Dan: (voice echos) A cash jackpot of $87,500!
Me: That's well over $100,000 at stake. It all begins with the first card. Good luck; which prize will you select first?

Perfect for the shutter bug; tell us more about this camera, Dan. (Vamp Theme) Dan: From Sony, using interchangeable lenses and weighing less than 1 lb., this camera combines the lightweight convenience of a compact digital camera with the sophisticated capabilities of a full-frame model. It comes with a 28-70mm, f/3.5-5.6 lens and is compatible with all E-mount lenses. This prize is worth $2000. Me: A very nice prize, but will this card be picture perfect? (Wild cheering, applause) Leslie: WOW! Me: IT'S AN ACE!! Darion, we all know what you want to do, but I'm obligated to ask you. Do you want to keep that ace, or do you want to the top card? (Audience chants KEEP THE ACE! KEEP THE ACE!)

(Applause) Darn right you need the ace! :-D I've just been told that there are THREE cards that give you 10 on the board. Find one of them, and you're over $100,000 richer. Which prize will you choose next?

You'll sweat it out...in this sauna. Dan? (Vamp theme) This outdoor sauna uses far infrared light to generate radiant heat for the therapeutic comfort of a classic spa. Made from Canadian red cedar, the 20 1/2"-deep bench accommodates two comfortably (up to 500 lbs.) Furnished by Hammacher Schlemmer. Retail value $3400. (applause) All we need is a 10 and face card, and you'll be the all-time record winner here on Top Card. Good luck. Show us the card.
(Audience groans and shrieks)
Me: That's too bad; but you can still win the car and a few prizes. You can take the 8 and have a 9 or 19, or take the top card. (Audience yells suggestions)

You are risking $5400 here. Hopefully, things will perk up when we hear about the coffee set. ( 10 Seconds Vamp theme) Dan: This set for coffee lovers includes a 15-bar pump espresso machine; single-serve coffee maker, and burr grinder. Retail value for this package: $785. (applause) Me: Darion, the only bad card right now is the Joker. However, if this card is a deuce, you will have won over $30,000 in cash and prizes. Let's see it:
Me: 'Tis the 4 of clubs. You can either keep the 4, which will give you a 13, or you can try the top card. Remember, Leslie's deck never has a joker. What's your pleasure?

Me: Currently, Darion has a soft 19. Leslie, do you have a deuce?
Me: That gives you 16 now and a grand total of $6,185 of prizes on account. You can stop here and keep your prizes, or you can try one more time to get 21. A card 6 or higher or the Joker will end the game leaving you with zilch. What's your pleasure?

(Applause)
ME: I would have done the same thing in this case. The camera, the sauna, and the coffee set are yours to keep. Let's take a look at the board:
The air purifier, the watches, or the TV were the winning cards after the ace, and the Joker was behind the chairs. In any event, $500 for every point in the bonus round makes $8,000 that goes into the jackpot for the next show making it $95,500! (Oooohs from the audience) When we come back, we'll add up Darion's total after this announcement! (Theme plays with applause.)

(Theme continues to play, applause)
ME: (Hurriedly) Darion's total for the day is $9,285 in cash and prizes. That's all for now; see you next time! Leslie: Bye Bye!
