Kourtney goes with number 9 and for choosing that number, he winds up with... (ding ding ding) ...half a dollar! Well Kourtney, it could have been better, but it also could have been a red X, so you're still in the game with 50 cents to start with. (ding) Kourtney did not find a dollar sign, so his turns ends here. Kori, you are up and there are still 5 green dollars on that board! Pick a number, please.

Kori looks for some ripe fruit, finds a good looking tree branch known as number 15 and that fruit turns out to be... (ding ding ding ding ding ding) ,,,quite ripe at that! (ding) Kori starts with a dollar. What next, Kori? Choose again or pass to Greg?

Might as well choose again, hopefully #10 hides a delectable fruit.

Kori looks for something else ripe, tries number 10 this time, and behind that number finds... (Losing Horns) (audience groans) ...sour grapes instead! Ugghh -- Kori! You have had some nasty picks on these boards today, haven't you!? I'm so sorry about that, but you did win that beautiful pendant and I hope there's some pretty lady in your life that will look wonderful wearing it. I want to thank you for being on the All-New Price is Right! Kori departing leaves us with 3 contenders and our game may end with the very next pick! Greg can win it with the first pick of Round 2, but as we've just seen, there are some bad spots on that board, including another red X somewhere.
1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 or 14 -- Greg, which shall it be?

Greg takes number 5...looking for a dollar for the win...has he done it?!?! (ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding) (audience cheers) Yes he has!!! Congratulations Greg! You have won the Endgame and you'll be moving on to bid on today's fabulous Showcase! (ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding) Matt, you came awfully close! If Greg had chosen one of the negative dollars or the other half dollar, then you might have been our winner. It was not be though, but I thank you for playing and I hope you enjoyed it. Kourtney, it was going to be tough recovering from a fifty cent start anyway, but you've won some nice prizes today and I thank you as well for being with us! Let's reveal the rest of the board to see where some of those other nasty spots were... It was number 12 that was concealing the other elimination.
Well, it's the man who was our first contestant who is also today's last contestant! We'll see Greg in our Showcase right after we see this!

(fade in with applause) Welcome back to the All-New Price is Right! I'm here with our big winner of the day, Greg Palmer! Greg has won over $40,000 in prizes so far, but Greg, we may be adding to that total significantly in the next few moments here! Since you were in the #1 position in our Endgame, that gives you a generous bidding range of $10,000! If you come within ten thousand dollars of the actual retail price of your showcase, you will win it! There is one more aspect to this though Greg and that is that if you manage to come within $1,000 of the retail price of your showcase, you not only win the showcase, you also win... (audience oooooooooooooos) ...one hundred thousand dollars as a bonus!
Unless you have any questions, my question is are you ready to see your showcase, Greg?

I think we're ready! Rich, let's show Greg his showcase, please! Rich: Greg, since this is our first showcase here on the All-New Price is Right, it is filled with prizes related to some Famous Firsts! In 1913, Arthur Wynne had the job of devising the weekly puzzle page for Fun, the eight-page comic section of New York World, a major newspaper of the time. When he devised what he called a Word-cross for the Christmas edition, published on 21 December, he could have no idea that he would be starting a worldwide craze. Of course, you won't need a pencil and newspaper if you want to do a crossword puzzle, you can just use your new iPad! At just 6.1 mm, the Apple iPad Air 2 64GB is the thinnest iPad ever and is also the most capable. It has a re-engineered 9.7-inch Retina display, the revolutionary Touch ID fingerprint sensor, a powerful A8X chip with 64-bit architecture, a new iSight camera, an improved FaceTime HD camera, faster wireless, iOS 8, iCloud and up to 10 hours of battery life. It also comes with great apps for productivity and creativity. Another famous first involves this motel. The Motel Inn in San Luis Obispo, California, is the world's first motel. It was built in 1925 by LA architect Arthur Heineman, who coined the term motel meaning “motor hotel.” Motel Inn was originally called the Milestone Mo-Tel. Back then, one night stay was $1.25. Heinemann couldn't afford the trademark registration fee, so his competitors were able to use the word “motel.” You can visit this facility on your trip to San Luis Obispo, California! We'll fly two of you round-trip coach from Los Angeles to Santa Maria, CA where you'll be chauffeured in a full-length limousine to the Apple Farm Inn for a 6-night stay! In association with Margarita Adventures, you and your guest will experience a once-in-a-lifetime, adventurous zip line ride through the wine vineyards of the Central Coast! Your guided tour features four distinct zip lines spanning more than 3,000 combined feet. All meals and daily wine tastings included! Now, this is supposedly the first ever album cover! It was designed by Alex Steinweiss for Columbia Records in 1938. Before that, records were sold in generic sleeves. The album “Smash Song Hits by Rodgers and Hart” was the first album cover that featured design, graphics and labeling. The record set was packaged in a book style, with a spine and open-up concept, in part because of the multi-platter collection. You may not have any records like this, but whatever music you do have, you can listen to using your new home theater system! The Bose Lifestyle 535 system delivers a powerful surround sound experience for all of your entertainment. You’ll feel the deep low-note performance that puts you in the middle of the action. Connect up to 6 HD video and audio sources—like a Blu-Ray player, cable box or gaming system—with guided setup. And with exclusive Bose® Unify® technology, everything works easily and seamlessly as a single system! Finally, this is the man generally regarded as the inventor of the first viable automobile powered by an internal combustion engine. That was back in 1894 and at that time, cars looked like this... These days however, production models made by the company founded by Karl Benz look more like this... For you Greg, it's the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible! Although it's one of the older sedans in its class, the E-Class continues to epitomize the modern midsize luxury car with its sophisticated technology, elegant furnishings and wide selection of engines and features. This beauty comes complete with LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, power-folding soft top, rear center pass-through, pop-up air deflector and heated leather sport seats! This fabulous showcase profiling Famous Firsts can be yours Greg if, the price is right! Greg, it's a chance for a second luxury automobile, not to mention all the other fantastic prizes and that potential bonus of a hundred grand! Good luck, sir! Think it over for a moment and then please give me your bid on that Showcase!

(fade in with applause) Let's find out if Greg has won himself a bunch more loot!! Greg, you bid $57,759 on that showcase and Greg...the actual retail price of that showcase is..... .....$78,530 for a difference of....... (Losing Horns) ...$20,771. Oh Greg, I'm sorry about that, but hey you're still the top winner of the show with a total of $40,984 and I hope you enjoyed playing the All-New Price is Right! I want to thank all six contestants -- you were all splendid! I had a lot of fun and I hope you did, too! Thanks to all who watched as well, I hope you enjoyed it! This is Glen Brown wishing that all your prices are right! See you next time! (I shake Greg's hand, then walk out into the audience and shake all their hands as well) Rich: This is Rich Fields speaking for the All-New Price is Right... ...a Mark Goodson television production!
(applause with shots of the audience and fade to black)

I thought you guys might like to see a bit of behind the scenes! Both the Endgame Playdown and Endgame boards are actually websites that I coded. Above is a full-screen shot of the final Endgame board, so you can see what I see. In that drop-down box, there are 17 choices which are "Reset Board", "Reveal Board" and then the numbers 1 to 15. I make whatever selection I need based on where we are in the game and then click the button and the appropriate action happens. So as we are playing these games, I don't know myself what values are behind what numbers until I actually select them. This is part of the code that is executed if I selected "Reset Board". This generates a bunch of random numbers, which I then use to sort the table in the database, virtually guaranteeing a different board every time. Finally, here's the database table itself for the Endgame. The fourth column contain the random numbers which I sort from highest to lowest in order to determine which values to display on the board. So in this case, row 13 has the highest value (0.9897861) so that was chosen to be behind #1 on the board, row 10 has the next highest number and so on. All the Ys indicate to display all the values in column 2 (i.e. reveal the whole board) and all those are set to N when the board is reset, followed by individual Ys for each number selected by the contestants. Anyway, that's how it works. It's pretty much identical for the Endgame Playdown, except that table has 50 entries and it has numbers instead of symbols in column 2. So Kori, now you know it wasn't me dealing you all those bad numbers, it was the darn website doing it!! The question now becomes, do we pick this pilot up and turn it into a series or not? Before we archive this puppy, I'd appreciate some feedback regardless of whether you were a contestant or a viewer. Thanks in part to Bill McDee, I actually have 20 pricing games in the rotation, including the 6 we played on this show, so that means I could produce 2 more complete episodes without repeating a pricing game. If you think I should do that, please take a moment and share your thoughts with me as to how you liked the show, what should be changed, etc. Cheers, Glen

All I would say is to the get those game rules straightened out before they make it to the show.
