Kevin says the show's fifth anniversary was in 1974. Is he right? (ding; audience applause) (rolling sfx)Yes -- and the dice are already rolling for you Kevin. Stop 'em when you're ready. (ding)Stop on a 3. (ding) Stop on a 2. (ding) And stop on another 3. Well -- I know the answer to this question. But I have to ask, Kevin. Do you want the 8 points or a reroll?

I'll freeze both threes 3 and reroll the 2: E.

Okay, obviously going for the triple. (freeze sfx) (rolling sfx)Center screen only rerolls. Can you get that third 3? (ding) No. It's a 6. Got a dozen out of that. After Round 8: marc412 koopakid17Marc leads 84 to 48. We have just two questions left in this game. Here's the next one. Cyndi Lauper was a girl who sure had a lot of fun in the 1980s. I'll show you the year in which she was named Ms. Magazine's woman of the year -- and you tell me the missing digit.(ding)17 marc412 23 koopakid17 39 randomizer.org(Kevin buzzes in)Kevin?

Kevin says Cyndi Lauper was named Ms. Magazine's woman of the year for 1985. Does he say right? (buzz)No. Marc, chance to steal. (ding)Again, this is the year in which Cyndi Lauper was named Ms. Magazine's woman of the year. Marc, is the actual last digit in the year 1, 2 or 3?

Marc guesses 3 is the last digit in the year. Is he right? (ding; audience applause)Yes. Key part of the question, I think, was her version of "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" was released that same year -- 1983. Well, Marc, you are 16 points away from the car and the undefeated championship. If the dice total more than 15 -- or if you get a straight or better -- it's all over and your total winnings will exceed half a million dollars in cash and merchandise. Kevin, all I know to tell you is try to put some mojo on the Crag dice -- as they roll for Marc. (rolling sfx)They lock into your buzzer. Let's see what happens.

(time passes) (buzz buzz)Marc didn't stop the dice in time. This means they automatically stop on the lowest scoring combination -- a 1-2-1 for 4 points -- and the round ends right here. (tones sound)And there's the signal confirming we've reached the tenth and final round of this game. Kevin, under our scoring system, you must win this question *and* roll a Crag to force our five-round mad dash for the cash. Anything short of a Crag by Kevin -- means Marc wins the match and the car. Here it is. Last question of our Throwback Thursday game. "Entertainment Tonight" has been keeping us up to date on news from the world of showbiz for decades. I'll show you the year "Entertainment Tonight" debuted -- and you tell me the missing digit.(ding)41 marc412 77 koopakid17 67 randomizer.org(Kevin buzzes in)Kevin, to stay in the game, your answer, please.

Indeed, great match all around. To the victor go the spoil. Marc, you're that victor. And now... ...you have a chance at winning another $5000 from the winner's board. Just pick a letter and the money behind that letter's yours. As you know, that also determines your head start for Super Crag. Which letter would you like, Marc?

Oh would it be a thing of beauty to find $5000 behind C? (dings; audience cheers)Hey now! Five grand. Marc, in this match alone, you've won $10,000. (audience cheers)Overall, you've won $571,150 in cash and merchandise. And -- uh -- there's a noticeable gap on your side of the tote board, Marc, between this dollar sign and the first 5 in your running total of loot. A lucky roll of the Super Crag dice could fill that gap -- with a 1. (audience ooos)Find out how he can win a million dollars with just one roll -- after this. (WGYN theme plays; audience applauds)

Welcome back. Marc's already the biggest winner in Crag history -- with a golden opportunity at being a bigger winner. Marc, you've already met today's dice girl, Devon. She gave you your car keys. She now has your Super Crag dice. The dice in the cup are smaller -- but the stakes are bigger. Since you won $5000 from the winner's board... (ding) ... we seed the pot with a different $5000. Every time you want to play Super Crag, you roll all three dice -- and if it's a safe roll, you'll win more money based on the roll's value in hundreds of dollars. All the 20-point straights are worth $2000 each, the triples $2500 each, 13 in any combination pays $2600 -- *BUT* if that combination of 13 has a pair of a particular number in it, that's a Crag for $5000. (audience cheers) (rolling sfx)As you know, you want to build up the pot to at least $10,000. Have more than 10 grand in the pot -- and you win tonight's super bonus. Now it could be as little as $30,000. It could be as high as $75,000. Let's see tonight's super payoff. (dings; audience cheers)...$73,000. But if you're really lucky and can hit $10,000 right on the nose, you win the mega bonus of $1,000,000. (audience cheers) And if you can roll a Crag right out of the gate, that's $5000 on top of the $5000 for an exact ten grand and the million. (more cheers) Now -- every roll does come with a risk -- as Devon will show us. (scattered boos) Yes -- you remember the gremlin. One number on one cube has been replaced with the gremlin. If he comes up, you lose everything in the Super Crag. So after every safe roll, I'll give you a chance to stop. You *may* stop right now, take $5000 and ride off into the sunset with the Ferrari and all that cash -- or you may risk everything in the pot by rolling the Super Crag dice. (audience shouts suggestions) (Marc, if you wish to risk and roll, please respond with a number from 1-100. You'll see the result of that roll and the next few down the list so long as you have less than $10,000 in the pot, not stop the game and not roll the losing gremlin.)

(audience cheers) I was about to say if you weren't going to for it, I would've been shocked. Hey, folks, I need you guys to start thinking Crag. In fact -- start chanting Crag. (more cheers; crowd chants, "Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag!") Roll a Crag, get that million. Good luck, Marc. (crowd continues to chant, "Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag! Crag!") (Marc shakes up bucket; pours dice down ramp) (audience groans) Well -- no Crag but no gremlin. Got $800 out of your first roll. $4200 away from the million. $4300 or more away from $73,000. Want to stop and take the $5800 or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Marc shakes up bucket; pours dice down ramp) (scattered cheers) Easy as 1-2-3. Low straight for $2000. $2200 away from the million. $2300 or more away from $73,000. So if you want to go for the million, you'll have to be crafty. Want to stop and take the $7800 or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

That's the spirit. He's already crunched the numbers. Now let's see you roll an 11 here. (Marc shakes up bucket; pours dice down ramp) (dings; alarm sounds; audience cheers; win music plays)CRAG! You got 73 grand. Well, the Crag came two rolls too late -- but you can't complain too much about winning more than $85,000 in this Super Crag round.

Nice to hear some of that money is earmarked for great work. Before we crunch your final numbers, Marc, please let me tell everyone where we go from here. First of all, our next car for a five-time champ will be worth far less than Marc's Ferrari. But to spice things up, we're also offering a gas card loaded with lots of money along with that car. (ooos from the audience)Yeah. And for every show the car goes unclaimed, we put more money on the gas card. We'll tell you more about this on our next show. We're also working on a champions' special -- not necessarily a tournament of champions -- where the overall winner is *guaranteed* to win $1,000,000. (more ooos from the audience)So keep watching Crag: The Numbers Game for more fun, more excitement and more big payoffs. Marc, as for you, we say so long for now. As we do, we're pleased to tell you you've more than doubled the previous record for most loot earned in cash and prizes. And that incredible total is ... ... $656,950! (audience cheers) (balloons start to fall) About half of that is in cash -- the rest is the car. Marc, safe travels, stay well and we'll see you later in the season for our champions' special. We'll start looking for a new champion next time on Crag: The Numbers Game. 'Til then, Doug Morris saying -- make it a great day, keep the faith and treasure your loved ones.
