(buzz)'Fraid not. We had Picard as a Star Trek word recently. So -- it's something else. We're rolling for $5000 now. (audience cheers as...) (Bryan rolls)Now it's a choice of the third or fifth letter.

(buzz) Okay, no guess -- so we go to a $2500 roll. (audience cheers as...) (Bryan rolls)Now, you face a choice of the *sixth* or fifth letter.

Is it worth $2,500 or 500?
Fifth letter.

After the first roll, we cut the value of the word in half on each additional roll. So this word is worth $2500 as we reveal... (ding)...an E. Get this right, and it's $2500. A wrong guess -- and you'll play for $1250. Either way, need to solve this to qualify for Lucky 7. So -- what is this Big 6 word?

(dings; SCSD win theme plays; audience cheers) Correct. Captain Kirk and his crew explored at least one planet on the original series. Other crews before and since have done the same. $2500 more for you with a chance at -- more -- at -- Lucky 7. But first -- the floor director tells me we're going to take a break. So we'll do that -- then we'll play Lucky 7. Stay right there. (theme plays; audience cheers)

(fade to Doug, Bryan, and dice girls at dice table)
Welcome back to On A Roll. We're back with our three-time champion, Bryan Law. So far, Bryan, you've won $69,200 in cash and merchandise. (audience cheers)And you have a chance to win a lot more at Lucky 7. Before we do, a quick announcement. The powers that be here at CBS and the producers of our show realized during the course of Big 6 that there is not sufficient time to sneak in a third main game in this episode. So -- the third puzzle and third Big 6 game we prepared for this episode will be jettisoned to the top of the next show's agenda. Also, when Bryan's finished playing Lucky 7, we'll play at least one audience game -- possibly more. (scattered cheers) Bet all of you in the crowd like that. Bryan, meantime, we have unfinished business with you in the form of Lucky 7. You're on Level 3 -- which means the letters in "lucky" this time hide cash awards ranging in value from $35,000 to $200,000. (scattered cheers) You found the biggie last time -- but couldn't quite reel it in. Let's see what happens here. Please pick a "lucky" letter.

Going with K. It's where top dollar was last time. Has lightning struck twice again? (cha-ching) (audience cheers)IT HAS! Wow! Now -- before Wally activates the timer, I want to assure everyone this was totally random. Wally does the shuffling moments after Big 6 is solved. Bryan, ready to get on a roll for 200 grand?

(audience cheers) He's ready to play. (alarm goes off) Wally's readying the shutdown timer -- but if history's any guide, you probably won't have many shots at this. (ding) Two rolls. Okay, you know the rules to Lucky 7 by now. Just avoid doubles and you'll make money. You -- are on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Bryan rolls)Starting off with a 6 and a 4. (ding) That's good for $1000 more. But now's the time for a lucky sum of seven. (audience cheers Bryan on) Come on, champ. You've got this. Come onnnn, seven! (audience continues to cheer as Bryan claps together dice and then rolls . . . . . . . . . . . . .) (Bryan rolls)(buzz; NYSI89 losing horns; audience groans)Arrrgh -- doubles. Well -- at least you got a double here and not the first roll -- or else Lucky 7 would've ended after just one roll. (FF reveal sfx)And -- oh isn't Wally clever -- the clock strikes midnight after Bryan's roll of *12*. Nevermind, Wally. Fortunately, Bryan, you did win $1000 in Lucky 7. And you could win more on the next show.

Okay, here's how we plan to finish out this episode -- Checkers. If you've seen, or at least read about, part of the unsold pilot for "ABC Carnival '74", you'll have some idea how this works. Behind the numbered squares are checkers with money amounts ranging in value from 51¢ to $1.00 with no duplicates. We'll spot two players $2.50 each. On a player's turn, the contestant will predict whether a model's roll of three dice will total higher or lower than ten and a half. A wrong prediction means the player must choose a number. The money amount uncovered will be deducted from that player's total. A correct prediction means nothing happens to the player's money score. Players take turns until... \ ...one player ends up with less than one penny, meaning the other player wins the game and a prize by default. \ ...time runs out after an equal number of turns. When time is called, the player with the higher money score wins. TIE-BREAKER: In case of a tie, each player chooses one more space. The uncovered amount will be *added* to the player's score. Higher score after the tie-break wins.
So -- who's in? We'll bypass qualifying. First two NGCers who haven't played in this thread are eligible to play.

Okay, we'll hold off on the two-player version of Checkers until another time. Checkers can be played solo; perhaps you'll see that soon. pathfinder20 , please standby for a different game that, oddly enough, we've been meaning to debut.

(theme plays; audience applause)Welcome back to On A Roll. Friends, we're about to debut a new game -- Bingo. We've all grown up with Bingo -- but have you ever played Bingo with dice? Our audience game player's about to play Bingo with dice. Please welcome Kourtney. (audience cheers)Kourtney, welcome, please tell us about yourself.

I am a assistant manager at a national sandwich chain. I am from Southern Georgia and living on my own. I love to listen to music just about any type of music, to collect and use stationery products, to learn and understand different languages and cultures and to play and watch game shows like this as well.

Well, welcome to our game show where you could win... (FF reveal sfx)...$20,000 in cash! (audience cheers)Hopefully you get to take home all of it in our game of Bingo. To win, all you have to do is mark five space straight across, up and down, or diagonally. Now, we've already spotted you the middle space for free. The rest you have to mark with rolls of these two dice. (Puala holds one of the Bingo dice) One of the dice is common -- and Puala is currently is holding it. Lorelei has the other cube. (Lorelei holds one of the Bingo dice) On the other cube, the numbers 1 through 5 have been replaced with, respectively, B, I, N, G, and O. The 6 has been replaced with... (Lorelei turns two sides) ...this message -- "any letter". That's basically a wild side among the letters. So in the event you roll "any letter" and 4, you may mark the 4 that is under the I, N, G, or O. Make sense so far?

Yes it does.

Good -- because let's say you roll the natural letter of B and the number of 4. Notice there's no 4 under the B. Anytime you're not able to mark a space right after a roll because a space was already marked -- or because the number is not under the rolled letter, this happens. (buzz) You lose half the money -- *every* time -- until you're down to $1250. Then when you get a bad roll when the game's value is $1250, the game automatically ends -- but we'll get you a nice consolation prize. So, Wally, please double Kourtney prize back up to $20,000. (ding)And with that, Kourtney, you -- are on a roll.
(Kourtney, please respond with a roll code from 1-100. You'll see the result of that roll and the next ones "down the list" from randomizer.org.)
