(ding)And the last two letters are H and E -- he said. (scattered laughter from crowd) Bill, the unlucky rolls are now 2, 3, and 4. You may guess for $16,000, roll again, or pass the dice to Bryan.

(ASB win cue plays; audience applause) That's it. Some lucky bounces of the dice combined with lucky placement of the numbers, and they come up totally at random, lead to an avalanche in cash for your charity, Bill. (chimes; audience cheers) Woah -- and there's a chance at more money. Bill, here comes the last of the follow-up question in this game. And this is the biggie -- $10,000. You'll play it first. Answer it correctly and you'll bank another ten grand for your charity, the Deborah Heart & Lung Center. If you miss, Bryan will have a chance to bank the ten grand for ACS. So, Bill, for $10,000... The NHL's Colorado Avalanche were previously known as the Quebec Nordiques. During the time the team played home games in Quebec City, how many times did the then Nordiques win the Stanley Cup Final?

I'm sensing a trick question here.
I think the answer is zero.

None you say -- and none -- is right. (audience cheers)This, however, is worth clarifying. The Nordiques did win the Avco World Trophy in 1977 during their days in the World Hockey Association. The Nordiques joined the NHL in 1979 after the WHA folded. The team won Lord Stanley's Cup in 1996, 2001 and 2022 since relocation to Denver and renaming of the team from Nordiques to Avalanche. So with that, Bill's leading by roughly 20 grand. Bryan, we still have time for more puzzles. And we'll get to them when All-Star Lucky Numbers resumes -- after this. (commercial cue plays; audience applauds)

(HR87 theme plays) Bill: A member of tonight's audience and a guest will enjoy a five-night stay on Catalina Island. All-Star Lucky Numbers will take the lucky member and a guest on a chartered boat from Los Angeles to Catalina Island -- where they will stay in a luxurious room at the Hotel Metropole. A private two-hour yacht charter is included -- furnished by Hotel Metropole and All-Star Lucky Numbers. Bill: We'll be back with more of All-Star Lucky Numbers -- after this message.

(audience cheers)Welcome back to the homestretch of All-Star Lucky Numbers -- where two of your favorite stars are playing for charity. Bill McDee from $ale of the Century is leading by $19,500. The Mad Dash's Bryan Law still has time to make a comeback. Bryan, you'll start this next puzzle. (chime sfx) There it is -- and the dice are yours, Bryan. (audience cheers as...) (Bryan rolls)And you're starting with a big roll -- 10.

(ding) We get a T and a R -- and now the danger zone's open for business. Bryan, rolls of 2, 5, 8, and 12 are unlucky. You may guess for $15,000, roll again, or pass the dice.

(buzz)No. Sorry. Bill, that means you're in control. First, we reveal the letter behind the highest remaining number of 10. (ding) It's a P. Bill, the rolls of 2, 5, 8, and 12 remain unlucky. You may guess for $14,000, roll, or pass the dice back to Bryan.

(buzz)That's not it either. Bryan, you're back in business. The highest remaining number of 7 reveals... (ding) ...another letter P Bryan, the rolls of 2, 5, 8, and 12 are still unlucky. And -- the folks on the floor tell me 11 is now an unlucky roll as well. So, you may guess for $13,000, roll, or pass the dice back to Bill.

(buzz)Could someone tell Kimmel we may run late? (scattered laughter from crowd) Bill, we're over to you. The 6 reveals... (ding) ...an S. Bill, the only rolls that work are 3, 4, and 7. Should you bypass a guess and the nominated player rolls a 7, that player would instantly bank $10,000 -- since all letters would be revealed by then. With that, Bill, you may guess for $12,000, roll, or pass the dice back to Bryan.

Here comes the next puzzle. (chime sfx)There it is. Bryan, dice are yours since you're trailing. (audience cheers as...) (Bryan rolls)Starting with a 5.
