Hi, Doug! It's great to be here on this fantastic institution, surrounded by people who brighten up just about everyone's day, and happy to be part of it. Also, how about a hand for our great announcer, Shadoe Stevens, huh? (Audience Cheers)

Speaking of fun, Greg, no matter what happens to Stephen Colbert, you'd be great at hosting a late night talker.
Now Letterman had stupid pet tricks, Carson had Carnac, Fallon has thank you notes and the occasional round of "Password".
What would be a recurring bit you'd have?

Well, that's the thing, Doug. It seems you have to be a game show host now to host a late-night talk show. So, I might just pull in random people to play the Big Numbers. Although I think I could also work on my Art Fern impression. But overall, I just wouldn't care too much. Kinda like Letterman in his NBC days.
Speaking of Letterman, I'm going to be doing a week of Late Shows from Television City. Want to be a guest?

I don't know if I can, Greg. I'm too busy trying to find someone to produce a pilot for my next game show. Match Game fizzled, Family Feud flopped, Reg Grundy told me I'd never be as good as Chuck Woolery doing Scrabble, Even WITH celebrities playing... But enough about me, let's have some fun!

Somebody get this man a tranquilizer. Otherwise, I've got a feeling this is going to be a long 44 minutes.

Sounds like a plan to me. Let the games begin! (audience cheers) (Tony and Doug shake hands; Tony walks to lower left seat on panel; Doug walks to MG players' desks) First thing on the agenda is Match Game. Playing Match Game are David H. and Kori Planston. David, please introduce yourself.

Ahhh -- I knew you looked familiar. Well, welcome to this network and this MG-HSH.
Good luck to you, David. And, Kori, good luck to you. Please tell us about yourself.

Not much to tell. I'm a person of intelligence and humour, a contrarian quite often. I reside in Kentucky, but I hail from New Jersey.

I once saw a storm cloud that hailed ON New Jersey, of course I was living there at the time.

I haven't been to Jersey -- but recently visited Kentucky. And I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. (scattered laughter from the crowd) David, Kori, again, good luck. Here in Match Game, your objective is to match as many ... ...of these classy reporters from the Channel 4 News team as you possibly can. (more light laughter from the crowd) For each star you match, you earn $100 and a nice fresh grape. If you match all six stars in the course of the game, you pick up $400 more. The player whose matched more often by the end of Round 3 wins another $500 and goes on to face our Hollywood Squares champion. The winner there plays the Super Match which could pay off $100,000. (audience cheers) (Doug pushes button on toaster revealing Round 1 questions) David, you may go first. I have two questions here. Would you like Question A or Question B?

Question A, please.

(Doug grabs A; walks to panel) A it is and we're off and running. New game, everyone on the panel plays. Liza said, "I just finished playing the updated version of the board game Monopoly. On my first turn, I drew a chance card and it read, 'Go to jail. Go directly to jail. You've been arrested on charges of BLANK.'"(scattered laughter from the crowd) (think music plays)

Okay, they're all set. David, we come to you for your answer. Here's the question again. Liza said, "I just finished playing the updated version of the board game Monopoly. On my first turn, I drew a chance card and it read, 'Go to jail. Go directly to jail. You've been arrested on charges of BLANK.'"
