Thank you George, now that the deck has been cut, let's see what the value is of this first hand... $175 for the winner of this first hand. Our first toss-up puzzle is worth $75. I'm looking for a 7 letter word that starts with "T" that connects the split... FARM with BEAM tpirepguide.com/qwizx/gssfx/usa/be-buzzer.wavGeorge you are in first. And as I've seen no posts from either of you so far in the vacation thread, I'm going to continue to enforce the 48 hour deadline rule even though this is a holiday weekend. If I do see either of you make a post in the vacation thread, I'll amend that accordingly. Meantime George you have until 12:50pm Eastern Standard Time on Monday, September 4th (Labor Day in the U.S.of A.) to post your answer.

Correct! From one extreme to the other, farm land to outer space! First card... A five. Where do you want to place that George, in your hand, Shederick's hand or in the center spot?

And the common card shared by you both is... An 8. Not very big splits for either player, but Shederick has a slight advantage split wise. But it is George who gets to go to the HI LO Toss-Up board first this time...now redesigned! George, please select a pair of numbers from our game board and in the order in which you'd like them to be revealed.

First let us reveal how many picks today's winner will get during hand number 4 of the Pot Limit bonus game... 4 picks. And now let's reveal what card was back there... An 8, the worst card of them all right now. George as you can see, exactly 6 cards are higher than an 8 and 6 are lower. You have the option to predict whether box 13's card is one that is higher or lower than that 8, OR if you prefer, you can force Shederick to make that call. How do you want to play it George?

I am going to go for it and say higher.

Oh my! If that #13 box has a card higher than 8, you'll retain control of the hand, if not, control will go to Shederick. And since the first box you selected was not the Ace, no $500 unfortunately for this game. Higher than an 8? NOW comes that Ace! Well no $500 but you do retain control of the hand George. You know the drill. Do you want to keep the next card George and hope it's a fit, or pass it to Shederick and hope it is not a fit for his hand?

I can't say as I blame you champ. Shederick, should another 5, a 6, a 7 or another 8 be dealt up, you'll win the hand, if not, George will take it. The card is a... Jack, a bust! George wins the first hand... www.dougmorris.net/chain/sfxding.mp3Let us see how much the next hand will be worth... $175 this time. The toss up puzzle is $75 again. And this time I need a 5 letter word players, starting with the letter "D" that connects the split... SUDDEN with STAR tpirepguide.com/qwizx/gssfx/usa/be-buzzer.wavGeorge you are in first again and have until 6:10pm EST on Monday, September 4th to post your answer.

And let's see what the common card is... (gasps and groans) O bother! Just a 2 card split for you George, a 6 card split for Shederick. Time for another Hi Lo Toss Up. George you know the drill, please select a pair of boxes in the order in which you'd like them to be revealed. If the first card you uncover is a King or a 2, you'll automatically keep control of the hand.

Very well, first of all, let us see how many picks today's winner is going to have during hand #5 of the Pot Limit game... 3 picks. Now what is the card behind there please? It's a 2! No need to do anything more here. George, you control the fate of the next card. Only another Jack or another Queen will fit your hand, anything from a 7 up to a Queen will fit in Shederick's hand. Are you keeping the next card or passing it down to Shederick?

And the card George passed over to you Shederick is a... FIT! The game is tied 1 hand apiece. www.dougmorris.net/chain/sfxding.mp3George, unfortunately for you, that card was a no-win situation for you. That's how the cards fell that time. No $500 bonus for a 3 Card Clean Sweep today. Let's see the value of our next hand please, shall we? Once again $150 the value of this hand. And again the hand values are determined at random, prior to the show by an outside third party who cuts special decks of cards to determine these values for the hands as well as our toss-up puzzles. $50 toss-up puzzle. This time I need a SIX letter word, starting with "E" to link the split... HAPPY with INVENTORY... tpirepguide.com/qwizx/gssfx/usa/be-buzzer.wavAnd George you're in first once again and will have until 7:10am EST on Tuesday, September 5th to post your answer.

While that was not the answer we were looking for, we anticipated EASTER as a possible alternative answer so we will credit you with that George! (applause) The original word we were looking for was ENDING as in Happy Ending and Ending Inventory, but most certainly a great many stores do have holiday inventory items, and at last check, Easter still is a holiday, so nicely done! $50 more to you George and control of this first card... A Jack. Where do you wish to place that card?

It is fascinating, even if only to me, how often players will pass a 5 but keep a Jack, considering they both are exactly 3 cards apart either way from the center card of an 8. Just an interesting observation I think. Next card... An ACE! Where do you want to place that George?

O-O Wow! That I did not expect, that's a rather tight split there. And that leaves for Shederick... A 4. I think you may have helped Shederick out big time just now George, but we won't know for sure until the last card is revealed. Let's see who will get control of it now. George, please select a pair of boxes.
