*I sigh and look offstage*
Who wrote this question?
*laughter*
I can't accept that answer either. Shedrick, what's the answer?

You can subtract The number 5 from 25 only once as 25 - 5 equals 20!

There ya go!
*ding, applause*
Oh boy. Yes, after subtracting 5 once, you're no longer subtracting from 25! We love to trick our players around here. Now, Shedrick is now in control, and this is the last question here. Shedrick, you can take this question or pass it, but whoever gets this right is going to the second half! Here it is:
If there are 3 apples and you take away two, how many do you have?
You can answer or pass.

That's right, you win! *win cue, cheers* And since Shedrick had control of the question, he wins $1,900 and gets a spot in the second half of the show. There'd be a commercial here before Bill and Jack do the whole process again to see who'll face off against Shedrick. There's no need to test that part, since it's the same as what we just did. So that concludes this test. The only problem I see is with timing, as I didn't want this to drag on too long to fit in with the length of other hour-long shows on here (that being 8 to 9 pages, I already have 3 pages and we're not even done with the first half). Other than that, dare I say this went pretty well. But me saying that would be biased. I'll open the floor, as I love to get other's opinions. Bill, Shedrick, Jack, or anyone else who kept up with this thread, feel free to share any input on this format. What works, what doesn't, should something be added, taken away? Let me know you're thoughts!

I think it was a great format.
My only concern was how some questions were interpreted differently by different people. For example, that last question that I thought I'd figured out, it turns out I didn't. In my mind, when the light bulb went on, I thought the answer was one (which it turned out to be, but for a different reason than I came up with) because since they are trick questions, my interpretation was if you subtract 5 from 25, you can do it only once because that would leave just the 2 (i.e. subtract 5 as in remove the 5).
I don't know if that warrants you changing anything, but just keep in mind that some of these trick questions could end up having multiple possibilities for answers.

I concur with Jack. I forget who said it, but I'm pretty certain one legendary game show producer said there's always potential danger in ambiguous type questions.
That said, those trick questions were quite enjoyable!

Yeah, I wanted to lean towards those types of questions, because I wanted to try something unique and different than what many game shows past and present use.
That being said, I can see how this can be kind of a problem. I can definitely tweak the format a bit to try something else.
My sincerest thanks to the three of you for testing this out for me! I appreciate it!

The overall show for the first half was good! Downside, some of the questions are up to interpretation and some may have multiple answers.
