Very well, $1,600 goes back, 2 more chances to try for something greater. Let's spin it! *windows spin* *laughter* I think God's trying to tell you something, Jack! You got the same score again. You do have one spin left however, do you wanna take the $1,600 this time, or take it back and try one more time? *audience shouts suggestions*

Spin 'er again please.

This spin you have to take, no if's and's or but's! Pull that lever! *wheels spin* $300...$100...and $800 makes $1,200 that you have to take! *applause, ding* And that concludes the first portion of the half. What would usually happen here is a commercial break, because at this point our camera people need a break. But since it's a test, again, there's no need. Rather we'll jump straight to after the break. Let's go ahead and clear the board: Jack was the last person to spin, so he decides the fate of this portion, the trivia portion. Instead of cash in the windows, there are the words "High", "Middle", and "Low". If "High" is chosen, the person in first place, that's Shedrick, has to answer up to 5 questions correctly to win the game. If "Middle" is chosen, the person in second place, that's Bill, has to answer up to 5 questions correctly to win the game. If "Low" is chosen, the person in third place, that's Jack, has to answer up to 5 questions correctly to win the game. I should mention, these aren't regular trivia questions, rather there more common sense questions, just to spice things up a bit. For example, "Do they have a 4th of July in England?" With the answer being "Yes". Should those questions go terribly, for the test I'll just switch to trivia but for the series I'll come up with something more interesting. This is where it gets confusing, and another reason to why I wanted to run a test: At any point, during the 5 questions, a player can pass control of the questions to the next player, to which the next player must answer the remaining questions with no option to pass. Each correct answer is worth an extra $200. If the player gives an incorrect answer at any point, the other 2 players buzz in to take control of the same question, winning $300 for a correct answer. The original player takes back control, but the value of the question drops by $50. I really hope that makes sense. I'll guide you all through it, and of course questions are always welcomed. Jack, I'll start with you, again since you last spun. Choose one of the 3 windows please

Let's go right down the middle.

I have to stop production for a minute, don't know how long.
Photoshop for me crashed, and didn't save ANY of my graphics for the shows I'm hosting, including this test. Meaning, I have to go back and re-create all of the graphics.
Frustrating as it may seem, I'll try to have this up in no time. My apologies.

As the toilet paper industry says "(bleep) happens".
Good luck in recreating. If anybody can do it, it is you!

In the middle window we see... Low! Meaning the person who's in last place gets control of the questions. Which so happens to be you, Jack. It's your lucky day! Now, Jack is the only person who can answer these 5 questions, unless he answers a question incorrectly. Jack, for each correct answer you give me, right now, you win $200. If you get a question wrong, Bill and Shedrick can buzz in to give a correct answer for $300, before you regain control for $150. You can pass after any question Jack if you think the person next in line, which would be Bill, doesn't know the answer, and Bill cannot pass back to you or to Shedrick for the remaining questions. Should HE get a question wrong, Jack you get $300, and control for the remaining questions go back to you. Hope that makes sense, if you have no questions say "pepperoni" *scattered laughter*

Didn't know you were part Italian, Jack! In any event, glad that makes sense to you! Now...these are questions really used to help test your common sense, plus to have a little fun as well. Here we go!
I have two U.S. coins totaling 55 cents. One is not a nickel. What are the coins?

One is not a nickel. One is a fifty-cent coin and the other one is a nickel.

1 for 1 so far! *ding, applause* 4 more and you win. Next question: Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. What is the answer?
You can pass the question or answer

This one seems too obvious to me, so I'm thinking it's a trick question, so I'll pass.

Bill, the question’s now worth $300. Get it right and you stay in control, a wrong answer means you lose control, and Jack gets some extra cash. What’s your answer?

|
Post by billmcdee on Aug 30, 2023 4:37:05 GMT -5
I'll say 70.
|
|
|
Post by babytims on Aug 30, 2023 16:31:02 GMT -5
And 70 is right! *ding, applause* Jack, out of curiosity, what did you think the answer was?

I must be dumber than I thought! How do you get 70 out of that?
I thought it was either 25 or 1510.

Oh wait, never mind, I see it now. Dividing by a fraction is the same as mutiplying by 2.

We're an educational show too, Jack. You learn something new everyday! No, harm, no foul, no money either.
*laughter*
Now we have a tie, Bill and Shedrick are at $1,900, and Bill has control of the questions, since Jack passed. Bill, at this point, you cannot pass back, you are stuck with the remaining questions. Let's see how this goes with the next question:
How many animals of each sex did Moses take on the ark?

The answer to the Moses question is zero, as it was Noah who did that.

It was a trick question I threw at ye, you're right!
*ding, applause*
Now again, you have control of the remaining questions, and cannot pass back. You have 2 questions left, here we go with the next one. Kinda tricky, so pay attention:
A woman gives a beggar 1 dollar and 32 cents; the woman is the beggar’s sister, but the beggar is not the woman’s brother. How come?
You can answer this or pass.
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on Aug 31, 2023 19:29:48 GMT -5
Because a woman cannot be a brother.
|
|
|
Post by babytims on Aug 31, 2023 19:50:23 GMT -5
Or the beggar is her sister, either one works!
*ding, applause*
One more Bill, and you have a spot in the show's second half!
How many times you can subtract the number 5 from 25?
|
|

(Bill...?)
|
|
|
Post by billmcdee on Sept 2, 2023 3:22:47 GMT -5
Well technically you can subtract the number 5 from 25 as many times as you wish. So that is my answer, infinite.
|
|
|
Post by babytims on Sept 2, 2023 12:15:50 GMT -5
Well, technically, no. That's not right. So, Jack or Shedrick, if you know the answer, you can buzz in and give it to me!

Well, I would argue that Bill's answer was correct because once you've subtracted 5 from 25, if you do that again, you're no longer subtracting from 25, you're subtracting from 20. So, the way you wrote that sentence would indicate you can subtract 5 from 25 all day long.
However, if this wasn't a trick question, the answer would be 5 times, as 25 would become 20 then 15 then 10 then 5 then 0.
