Old Bill is about ready to embark upon Episode Lucky 7 of Split Decision, and it is lucky too because I have made Pot Limit more player friendly than ever before.
To see how, do check out the thread I posted in the announcements section.
George Cluster is the newly crowned champ and needs a new challenger. Who would like to participate?

Good deal as you have not as yet played against George, welcome back Shederick!
What I will need from both you and George is to PM me with 11 buzz codes.
All buzz codes are higher than 0 but lower than 251.
Once I receive those, we'll be ready to rock and roll!

Frank Caliendo: It's the card game where Ace is always high and Deuce is always low. Turn any two cards in the deck face up, then just try to fit a card in between that's neither higher nor lower. Welcome to the newest, high stakes card game on television. SPLIT DECISION! (Cheering & applause) With your host, Bill McDee! (Cheering & applause) That's me! I thank you once again for joining us for another edition of Split Decision, a most remarkable and unpredictable card game to put it mildly. Last time we were together, we crowned a new champion after a 3 day reign by outgoing champ Kourtney Wilson. We will meet him and his next challenger right after we say hello to the keeper of the cards, my co-hostess and dealer, Witney Carson! (cheering & applause) Good morning Bill. Good morning everybody. And good morning to our 2 players, and good luck! Sitting at the red station, the champion's chair is our new champ, George Cluster, and George picked up $6,425 on yesterday's program! (cheering & applause). George, please remind us again about who you are, what you do, where you are from, etc.

Okay in order, I am George Cluster, I am a mahjong player for over 10 years, a singer, listen to 80s music, love news themes across the USA (which Counterpoint is my favorite), do word seeks, and love game shows. I am from Spartanburg, SC.

And I might add quite a gambler too. You made some pretty hefty bets yesterday on some rather slender splits, but it paid off rather well for you!
Good luck as you go for win # 2 today.
And we have a returning CHALLENGER for the first time. He came THIS CLOSE to becoming champ but just missed out.
His previous winnings of $2,275 are archived, so he's starting fresh once again, for a return appearance, I believe it is Lieutenant Shederick Weatherspoon Junior!
Welcome back sir. I hope I got the rank correct. Please remind us once more about who you are, where you're from, what you do, and all that good stuff.

That's quite incredible, as I have to pay for all of my lances.
Sounds like a great career and or hobby with the photography. You had a photo finish last time you were with us. Let's see how things go this time.
The object of the game is to win hands of our card game.
Players can win a hand in one of two ways, either by placing a card that fits between their own split or by having their opponent bust by getting a card that does not fit their split.
Aces are high, deuces are low.
Right now George, we have 2 different decks of cards. You get to choose which deck we will play with for game 1 of our best 2 out of 3 match.
Do you want the red deck or the blue deck?

Red it is.
Shederick, as the challenger you will now be asked to cut the deck.
How deep you make the cut depends on the number you choose. Please give me any number higher than 0 but lower than 54.
In addition to the standard 52 cards in the deck, we've added two special cards marked "INSURANCE", and I'll explain how those work if and when they turn up.

Now that the cards are cut, we are about ready to play puzzle number one, for hand number one, in game number one, but first we have to take this one minute break!

Two quick reminders. First, if either player wins a game 3 hands to none, we call that a 3 hand blitz and they will win a $500 bonus in addition to any other money they pick up along the way. Second, the winner of this first game of today's match will get to play our HALF & HALF mini-bonus game. That could be worth $500, $700 or as much as $1,000 in cash, depending on how quickly the winner takes the first game. In order to gain initial control over the cards, players must win a puzzle toss up. They can be worth anywhere from $25 up to $75. And hands can be worth anywhere from $125 all the way up to $250. I will hit my magic button to stop the random numbers from flashing... A $75 toss up and a reminder that only the first player who rings in has a chance at that cash. If you ring in first and give either an incorrect solve, are stumped, or take too long, no money is awarded but your opponent gains control of the cards automatically and that's what you're after. The winner of this first hand will pick up $225, almost the top dollar value. All of our puzzles deal with words, I will show three words, a top word and a bottom word and the word in the middle will only have the first letter revealed. I will tell you how many letters there are total in the correct answer and the idea is to try to come up with the one word that links together the other two split words. Our first puzzle's answer is a FIVE letter word beginning with "Y". I need that word that connects: BREWERS with INFECTION tpirepguide.com/qwizx/gssfx/usa/be-buzzer.wavOur apologies to the Milwaukee professional baseball team for this puzzle. Shederick, you are in first and you will have until 6:10pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Wednesday, July 19th to post your answer.

That is correct. $75 for you and control over the cards. The first card up is... A 5. Do you wish to keep that for yourself Shederick, pass it down to George, or place it in the center as the common/shared card for both of your hands?

Giving George a very tight squeeze. Let's see what your split will be now Shederick... *gasps from the gallery* Yipes Stripes! You left yourself an even TIGHTER squeeze, so gaining control over this next card will perhaps prove pivotal. When we play for control of the final card of the hand, we play a HIGH CARD Toss Up: Behind each of these thirteen boxes we have a different card, from Ace all the way down to 2. Shederick, you'll select any two of these boxes and in the order you want them revealed. We will show you the first card and you'll decide if you want to keep it and allow George to make a pick from the board, or you can pass it to George and see what your second choice is. You earned that right by winning control of the hand with the toss up puzzle. Two other things. First, if your first pick is an Ace you'd obviously win immediately, and if it's a 2, you'd obviously refuse it and pass it to George, so that would be an instant winner for you too. Second, we have randomly hidden two BONUS PICK cards on the board. If you select a box hiding one, we'll reveal that first, and it will go on your side of the board, and if you win the match, you'll carry over any Bonus Pick cards to the Pot Limit end game. Shederick, please select two boxes.

That gets you a 9. Do you wish to keep that or give it to George? As you can see, 5 cards will beat it, 7 will lose to it.

Going with the odds being 7 to 5 in your favor. George, we now get to hear from you for the first time today. Five of the twelve remaining boxes will beat Shederick's 9. Select a box and we'll see who wins control over the next card from the deck.

Lucky perhaps, but for who? box 7 has... An Ace! George you wrestled control of the cards away. Next decision is yours. Do you want to keep the next card and hope that it will be another 5, a 6 or another 7, or pass it to try to bust Shederick?
