The seven goes to Kevin... (imitating Paul Lynde) "And all good girls go to Heaven!" Common card this time is... (gasps and groans) EGAD! These cards have been more than a might bit unfriendly today! Kevin, again not much wiggle room for you, Kourtney, a slightly wider split but still less than half the cards in the deck will fit that split even. Again, all important control for that next card. And Kourtney, you get first selection and right of first refusal once again here at the HIGH CARD Toss Up board. If you draw either a Queen or a 3 on this upcoming pick, you will remain in control automatically, otherwise you'll have a decision to make once again. Which number this time Mr. Wilson?

7 has... A Jack. Just one box up there would beat that Kourtney...Are you keeping that Jack or giving it to Kevin?

Is the Queen under #12? O no, only a 5! Sorry about that Kevin. Kourtney, you are in the proverbial driver's seat now. You control the next card which you can keep for yourself or pass to Kevin. You still have that insurance marker too, so I don't know if that will factor into your strategy or not Kourtney. Do you keep this next card or pass it to try to bust Kevin again?

Kevin, if Witney deals up for you another 7, an 8, or another 9, you'll win the hand and this game will be tied at 2 hands apiece. And as our old dearly departed friend Bill Rafferty would say, "Anything else, and you're off to the land of parting gifts." Witney, does Kevin stay or does he go? (buzzer) He goes! And Kourtney Wilson becomes our 3rd new champion in as many days! vocaroo.com/9PUonnx6Jg0(ding ding) Kourtney congratulations on a very well played match. Already $1,125 in your coffers with a chance to add a whole lot more with Pot Limit, and you're going in to that round with a lot of ammunition, two extra bonus draws plus that insurance marker, and I am super excited to tell you what that means for you when we start the next segment. Kevin, the cards were rather unfriendly to you today, howsoever, you still won $275 here today, added to your previous winnings, you're leaving us with $5,100 in cash! A nice round of applause for a fine outgoing champion, Kevin Kolsen! Upon our return from this break, Kourtney Wilson will be playing Pot Limit for a shot at THOUSANDS of dollars more in cash, and we've made the game more user friendly even! Please don't go anywhere we will be back in a moment!

(fade into applause) We have returned and are about to play our exciting and IMPROVED end game, POT LIMIT. We've made the game a bit more user friendly, and I will explain in full detail how in just a moment. First, congratulations to you Kourtney for defeating a fine champion in Kevin Kolsen. This is the first time that the match went only 2 games instead of the full 3. During the front game, you won $1,125. No matter what else happens here today, that is yours to keep and you will be back on our next program to take on a new challenger. First Kourtney, let me call attention to our game board... First, I'd like to point out that players are staked to 3 Bonus Draws from our board automatically. You picked up 2 more during match play, so you will have a total of 5 extra draws from the board during your various hands of play, and that could really come in handy here! Witney is presenting you with a deck of 54 cards now Kourtney. The cards from this deck will determine in large part whether you win or lose a hand. It is a standard deck of 52 cards plus 2 Jokers in the mix, and I will explain more about how those work in just a moment. Please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 54 to cut the cards. In a moment, we will start you off with $300 to wager with. Minimum bets during the first 2 levels of play are $50 and must be in increments of $50. When we move up to level 2, we will give you an additional $600 of betting money and up to three more hands to play. Now when we get to the final hand, the last hand, that is the MAJOR WAGER. We will stake you to yet another $1,000 in betting money and for that final hand, you must wager at least half of your bank total. Up on the board we have 14 numbered cards. The cards 2 through Ace all appear up there, and each one is there only once. You will get anywhere from 3 to 5 draws from that board to establish your split. Ace is high, 2 is low. There is also an ACEY-DEUCEY card on the board each time and I am happy to say that NOW, starting today, if that turns up, you will now automatically have an ACE high 2 low split! Just one way to make our game more user friendly! During the first level of play, if the card from your deck ties either of the 2 cards in your split, you will WIN your bet. During the second level, all ties are a PUSH, meaning you will not win your bet, but you will not lose either. Lastly, for the MAJOR WAGER, a tie usually loses BUT..... because you were able to carry over one insurance marker... The MAJOR WAGER now is a PUSH if your card ties! You'll see how many picks from the board you will get to make during each hand Kourtney. 4 during the first level of play, 3 during the 2nd level and 3 for the Major Wager. However you may use ONE and ONLY ONE Bonus Draw during any given hand, if you wish to try to improve your split. I also now call your attention to the top of the board. You have 2 SECOND CHANCE tokens. If the card Witney turns up from your deck would cause you to not win your wager, you will immediately get a second chance to do so with the next card from the top of the deck. Only one SECOND CHANCE token may be used on level 1 and level 2. IF you are fortunate enough to have at least one of those tokens remaining for the Major Wager, then you will also get a second chance there as well! Last but not least Kourtney, in the deck we have 2 jokers. If a Joker is dealt up by Witney, regardless of your wager amount, we will automatically double your total! And, should during the final hand, the MAJOR WAGER you have a joker dealt up, not only will you automatically double your pot total, regardless of what your original wager was, but you will also win a Joker's Jackpot. It starts at $25,000 and grows by $1,000 per day until it is broken. So today Kourtney, if during the Major Wager you receive a Joker from Witney, you will also win an additional... (CLANG) $27,000!!!! (Cheering & applause) At this time please give us your cut code, a number higher than 0 but lower than 54.

That's mine also! I love that number as long as it is not preceded by a certain "C" word (chuckling).
Now then Kourtney, please select any four of the 14 cards from the board, and we'll see what kind of split you get.

All odd ones, let's see how that works out... A Queen, An ACE!, a 7 and a 9. Well... If you keep this split Kourtney, 5 cards will lose for you but 8 will win. If you elect to use one of your extra draw tokens right now, 6 of the remaining ten cards would improve your split while 4 would keep it at an Ace high and 7 low. What do you want to do Kourtney, keep the split as is, or use a bonus draw?

I am going to keep the split as is. It’s pretty early.

Let's see how your strategy pans out Kourtney. You have $300 right now. What is your wager that the top card from your deck will fit this split?

|

I am going to wager $100 that it will fit.

For $100 and a total of $400, is this card going to be higher than a 7 and lower than an Ace Witney? Remember at this stage of the game a tie is also a winner...except for the one around my neck... It's a ten, and a winner! (ding) Time for hand #2 Kourtney. Please select any 4 cards, all 14 have been reshuffled and placed up there at random, as always. Let's hope for an Acey Deucey draw!

Let’s go 10, 4, 9, 6.

|
|
Post by billmcdee on Mar 17, 2023 5:24:57 GMT -5
And this draw gets for you... A Jack, a ten, a seven and a 3... So the current split would be Jack high, 3 low. Nine cards would win for you, four would lose for you if you keep the split as is. Or if you wish Kourtney, you can use one of your bonus draws to try to improve the split. As the board stands now Kourtney, exactly 5 of the remaining cards would improve your split, and 5 would keep the split at a Jack to a 3. Also, should you elect NOT to use a bonus draw here, then your last 5 hands would give you one additional draw for each, as you have 5 bonus draw tokens. What do you want to do keep the split as it is or try to improve it?

Very well and how much of your $400 do you wish to wager that the top card from your deck will fit the split?

|

I am going to say $150 that it will fit.

Post by billmcdee on Mar 17, 2023 16:35:36 GMT -5
$150 more that the next card will be higher than a 3 and lower than a Jack... It... is another Jack, but a tie equals a win during this first level of play! (ding) $550 you are up to now Kourtney, and as you have 5 Bonus Draws still remaining, and just 5 hands remaining as well, all of your total picks will go up by one. So for hand 3, you will get to choose FIVE numbers, and then FOUR for the last four hands of the game. Please select FIVE numbers this time Kourtney!

Let’s go with 1, 5, 8, 11, 14.

Post by billmcdee on Mar 17, 2023 18:01:50 GMT -5
And that gets for you... A 2! A Queen, a 6, a 5 and an 8...first 2 picks actually give you the biggest split this time Kourtney. Only a King or an Ace would lose for you, and even if that turned up, you would get a Second Chance remember, with those tokens you have. So with all of that in mind, what your wager that this next card from your deck will fit this split?
|
|
|
Post by pathfinder20 on Mar 17, 2023 19:22:53 GMT -5
I will bet $350 that it will fit.

|
Post by billmcdee on Mar 18, 2023 2:00:13 GMT -5
A $350 wager, or as my good friend over on MVG Productions, Brandon Scruggs would say "Tree-Fiddy"... This will give you $900 total if the card will fit this split... Oh yes! (applause) So you go to $900 and we head into the second level of play, so we'll add yet another $600 to your score... (ding) Building quite nicely Kourtney, $1,500. You have 3 picks plus one bonus draw automatically, so please select 4 numbers. Keep in mind too that from here on in, any tie card won't win for you, but you won't lose either, it is a push. And you have both Second Chances still in tact, so you'll be able to use one on this level of play and still have one left over for the Major Wager! Which 4 cards this time champ?

Interesting choices, let's see... Jack, Queen, 2 and 4! Wow! To quote Yogi Berra, it's like Deja Vu all over again. Another Queen to 2 split. A nice rut to be in! You have $1,500, what do you wish to wager this time?
