We are back, in the middle of game #1 of this match between our new champion Kevin Kolsen and his new challenger Kourtney Wilson. Battle of the K's today. Another added feature of our game is our Half & Half mini bonus game. It debuted on yesterday's program. In addition to having the lead in today's match, the winner of this first game will get to play that special mini game and today that jackpot is $1,500! Right now, onto another puzzle and a new hand, Kevin has the early lead, but as we've seen before already, no lead around here is truly safe. Again, this is just like the Church Service question we had last episode. Cover was not what we were going for, but nevertheless, it is an acceptable answer! Undercover, as in police or detectives, and often a cover paper is written for a thesis or other official things. We had been going for CONSTRUCTION, but Cover works too so $25 and control to you Kourtney! First card...  A six. Kourtney, do you wish to keep that for yourself, pass it down to Kevin, or place it in the center as the common card for you both to share? |

Kevin's split is a 6 to an 8, a tight squeeze indeed. Now let's see what YOUR split will be for this hand Kourtney...  8 to a Queen, a slightly larger split, but even there, only six cards will win for you, Kevin's split has only 3 possible cards that will win for him.  Now Kourtney, in order to hang onto control of the deck, you must win this High Card toss up. Eleven numbers left, eleven cards in the mix, as you can see by the board. You get the right of first refusal, but if you select either the Ace or the 2 right now, you automatically will keep control plus earn one extra Pot Limit selection should you win the match. Which number looks good Kourtney? Oh I need to correct myself, I had said "8 to a Queen, a slightly larger split, but even there, only six cards will win for you" it's actually only FIVE cards would win for that split, an 8, 9, 10, Jack or Queen. |

Hoping to uncover an Ace or a 2 for an instant win and an extra Bonus Draw in Pot Limit...  Instead you draw a 9. Kind of a tough decision here Kourtney. If you keep it, four cards would give Kevin control while six would lose for him. Conversely, if you pass that 9 to Kevin, the odds of you beating it would be 4 out of 10 or 40 percent. Tough split decision here Kourtney, are you keeping the 9 or passing it to Kevin? |

And card six is...  A Jack! Kevin you now have taken over control of the cards...  Kevin, you need another 6, a 7 or another 8 to win this hand, any other card will bust you. You do have control and the option to pass this next card to Kourtney, another 8, a 9, a 10, a Jack or another Queen will win for him, so he has a slightly larger split. Also, if you do pass and the next card does not fit Kourtney's split, he does possess that insurance marker which would give him another chance. So consider all that with your strategy Kevin, do you want to keep this card to try to fit your very narrow split, or pass it to Kourtney and hope the next two cards both will bust his hand? |

Kourtney, you more or less have forced Kevin's hand as he has a very tight squeeze of a split. He is passing, but even if this first card does not fit your split, you will get a second chance thanks to that insurance marker you got. Obviously if the card IS a fit, you'll win the hand, $100 and still keep the marker. Witney, deal it up please...  That Ace would bust you, so back comes the insurance marker and another card. This time if it doesn't fit, it will mean a bust and Kevin would win the hand. Looking for a card from an 8 to a Queen, Witney?  OH Another QUEEN!
