Will be introducing a new change or two, plus some updates for the Pot Limit end game as well.
Kevin has one win and $4,825 thus far. He needs a new challenger. Lenny Jackson and Immanuel Tims, you unfortunately cannot participate in this episode.
My goal is to have one new contestant for at least 5 episodes in a row before having players back, if possible.
Who would like to take on Kevin?

Sensational.
Kevin and Kourtney, please send me via private message 15 buzz codes. They all should be higher than 0 but lower than 101.

televisiontunes.com/Body_Language.htmlFrank Caliendo (imitating Gene Wood) Should you keep the next card? That is indeed the riddle, Because you never know if It will fit in the middle… Welcome to the newest, high stakes card game on television. Welcome to… SPLIT DECISION! (Cheering & applause) With your host…the man whose idea of giving his waiter a tip is sharing with him a hunch on a horserace… the keeper of the cards… Bill McDee! (Cheering & applause) That's me! (Chuckling) I do so wish I knew who keeps coming up with these disparaging remarks about yours truly. But enough of this "Horsing" around! (groans from the gallery). Thanks, I love you too! Greetings, salutations and welcome aboard to Split Decision. This is the card game based on the casino game "Red Dog" or "Acey-Deucey". And yes, just like our sister show Card Sharks, in this game Ace is high and Deuce is low. And we have some new features and revised rules to help out our players to win bigger, especially during our Pot Limit end game. We're trying to make it a bit more user friendly so that our contestants can win more of our cash! Speaking of, our returning champion is back for his second try at the Pot Limit bonus game. He has thus far won $4,825 in cash, welcome back, from New York, a tax accountant, Kevin Kolsen! (cheering & applause) Kevin, all set to try to win your second consecutive match?

Splendid to have you here. You'll be trying to "sandwich" cards in between high and low cards in this game today Kourtney. And speaking of cards, give a very warm welcome to our dealer of the cards, our hostess, Witney Carson! (cheering & applause) Good morning Bill, good morning everybody. Gentlemen good morning and good luck to you both! We play our game using two separate decks of 54 playing cards. Kevin, as the returning champion, you get to select which deck we'll play with in game number one. A or B? And Kourtney, while Kevin is selecting a deck, you can indicate how deeply you'd like those cards to be cut by selecting a number higher than 0 but lower than 54 if you please.

Let’s go with a thin cut: 19. After hearing thin cut I feel like I'm either a butcher or a barber...(chuckling)... Okay on we go players. There are some new and exciting twists with our game, to try to help make our Pot Limit end game more favorable for our contestants. The object of the game is to win control of the deck. By doing so you will get to place the top 3 cards on the board, one card for you, one for your opponent, and one in the center, affectionately known as the "Common card" that both of you will share. And the idea is to make as wide a split for yourself, while trying to give your opponent as narrow a split as possible. If you win one hand, you'll win $100. Win a second hand and you'll win an additional $150. Win 3 hands and you will win another $250 plus the game. Takes 3 hands to win one game and 2 games to win the match. To determine control of the deck and the placement of the first three cards, our players must ring in first and be correct with a split word puzzle. I will show a top word and a bottom word. The middle word's first letter only will be shown. Once you buzz in, you will have 48 hours from the time I post the deadline to provide your answer. If correct you win $25 and control of the deck. If you are either incorrect, pass, or take too much time to post your answer, control of the deck will go to your opponent by default, and the $25 will not be awarded. Also, if either player wins 3 hands to 0, we call that a Blitz and the player will also win the Blitz Jackpot. Kevin hit it on our last show, so it is reset to $250. Here we go! What "R" fits between... PLYMOUTH and MUSIC? Kevin you rang in first. I need your answer no later than 9:00am Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Tuesday, February 28th. Wow already at the end of February!

Indeed it is ROCK, $25 for you Kevin and that all important control over the Split Decision deck. In addition to the standard 52 cards in the deck, we have added 2 cards marked INSURANCE. If the Insurance card turns up at any point during the hand, the player in control of the deck will be awarded one insurance marker, even if the insurance card is passed to their opponent. Insurance markers can be used when a player receives a card in the middle of their hand that would bust them. If a player gets a card that would bust them and they have any insurance markers, they must use one right away to receive the next card. But if you win the match and have any insurance markers remaining, one of them can be carried over to the Pot Limit end game for the Major Wager. I will explain more about that when and if the time comes. In the meantime Kevin, here's Witney to deal up the first card for this first hand of this first game... It is a 5. Do you wish to keep that for yourself, or place it in the center as the common card, or pass that down to your opponent?

(gasps of disbelief) Oh Kevin! Kevin Kevin Kevin... I think the entire audience here and at home are saying "Why didn't he make that the common card?" because had you done so, Kourtney's split would have been a 5 to a 5, virtually NO split whatsoever. However the decision has now been made, and it very well may work out yet for you... Witney, let us see what the common card will be instead of that 5 of Clubs please... (even louder gasps) WOW! A very tight squeeze now for both of you. Only another 3, a 4, or another 5 will win the hand for either player... Who is going to win control of the next card? Here's how we determine that...our HIGH CARD Toss-Up board: Kevin, as you are in control, you will get to select the first number from this board. Behind each of these thirteen numbers are the cards 2 all the way up through Ace. Each card is there, and each card is there only once. The player who ends up with the high card from this board will end up with control of the next card from the SPLIT DECISION deck. Now Kevin, after you select a number and we reveal what card it is, you'll have what we call the "right of first refusal". This means, if you draw a card that is somewhat low, you can refuse it and force Kourtney to take it, and then you would select another number, trying to better that particular card's value. If you reveal a card that you believe is high enough to win, you may of course keep it, and then Kourtney would make a selection to try to beat it. Lastly, the player who goes first each time on this board has one other special advantage. Kevin, should your first pick be either an Ace or a 2, you will instantly retain control over the Split Decision deck PLUS...plus...and this is another NEW wrinkle to the game... If you reveal the Ace or 2, you will automatically earn one extra Bonus Draw for our Pot Limit end game, should you retain the championship. Kevin, what number looks good to you sir?

I'll take number 4.

Number four has a 3 this time Kevin. Every card save one will beat that. Are you keeping it or giving it to Kourtney?

We will light that up in blue. Kevin, any number you pick, save one, will mean you retain control of the deck. What number do you take for yourself?

Card ten is... Oh a big KING! Kevin you keep control of the cards... Again, only another three, any four, or another five will win this hand for you or for Kourtney. Kevin, do you wish to keep this next card or pass it and try to bust Kourtney?

(cheering) I think this entire audience would have charged up here on stage had you kept this next card Kevin... (chuckling) now watch it will be a four. Kourtney, that's what you are hoping for. Witney, deal it up... WHOA BOY! A 2! You ALMOST got it but not quite! $100 and the first hand goes to Kevin. (ding ding) (theme plays) Have mercy! A LOT happened during that first hand. We're going to take a quick time out to catch our collective breath. Lots more zaniness, when Split Decision continues!
