(Bill rolls) (audience cheers) The yo-leven. Bill, you're up to a baker's dozen of bills. Bank the thirteen or risk all that green? (audience shouts suggestions)

I'll guess Howard, since that sounds like an older name than David to me LOL

Well -- regardless of nomenclature, Howard was born in 1946. David was born in -- 1950. Bill, you're right. (audience applause) Another free roll for you. (Bill rolls) And an 8 to start you out this time. Bank the money or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

Another quick bank by the champ. (ding)Suddenly, Bill's leading by $100 at the midway point in the game. Next toss-up question. "Amazing", "Fantastic" or "Incredible". In titles of comic books, which adjective best describes Spider-Man? 59 billmcdee 31 fdriscoll22 59 randomizer.org(Bill buzzes in)Bill?

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is amazing, according to the comic books. You're right. (audience applause) Another free roll. (Bill rolls) Starting with a 5 this time with $500. Wanna bank half a grand or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Bill rolls)(bust cue; audience groans)Oooooh -- quick bank in the previous round and a quick bust here. Sorry about that. Frank didn't mind that at all. Already up to Round 5. We just have this, Round 6 and the catch-up to go. Here's your Round 5 question. The star of the movie "Tex", the fictional marshal on "Gunsmoke" or an anchor on "The Today Show". Which one is *not* named Matt Dillon? 40 billmcdee 01 fdriscoll22 13 randomizer.org (Frank buzzes in) Frank?

Well the anchor from "The Today Show", who was part of a running joke on the Daytime Emmy Awards the other night, is named Matt -- Lauer. You're right. (audience applause) Chance to take the lead comes now. Free roll first. (Frank rolls)And you start with an 8 for $800. Want to bank the money or roll again? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Frank rolls)(bust cue; audience groans)Darn! *Another* bust. Sorry about that. Well -- Round 6. Control of the dice is crucial with Bill's $100 lead and the catch-up round on the horizon. Next question. Gold, silver or bronze. The Bible tells us which one was a gift from the three wise men to Jesus? 19 billmcdee 55 fdriscoll22 12 randomizer.org(Bill buzzes in)Bill?

Gold's right. (audience applause) Free roll here. You know you can't bust. (Bill rolls)(scattered groans) But you can roll a puny sum -- such as this one. Want to roll again or bank $300? (audience shouts suggestions)

(Bill rolls) (doubles cue; audience cheers) Wowsers! Boxcars. Bill, would you like for us to add $1200 to the pot... ...or would you like to go to the double 6 screen on the board? (audience shouts suggestions) Who knows? There might be four free rolls again -- which could be worth a lot more than $1200.

I'll take the $1,200, and bank the $1,500 total Doug.

(Frank rolls) (audience groans)It's a 9 for $900. You keep that -- but it's not enough. Bill wins the match. (dings; audience applause)Bill, congratulations. We'll total up your winnings shortly -- and give you another shot at the million. Frank, you may have had some unlucky rolls here. But there is good news. The 2900 bucks you banked here join the $3300 from earlier in the match. That's a grand total of $6200. (audience cheers)You take that money along with our great thanks for playing Hot Dice. One more hand for Frank Driscoll. (audience cheers)Bill, even with cautious strategy, you've banked $10,000 in this match... (audience cheers)...for a total of $49,350. (more cheers) And when we come back, you'll have another try at the million. Bonus Bonanza is next. (commercial cue plays; audience applauds)

(Doug in pre-recorded audio as contestant plug cue plays)Do you think you have what it takes to win the million? Call our Hot Dice contestant hotline at 1-800-555-DICE -- or visit TraxProductions.net/dice.(audience applauds) Yeah, call that number and you could be like Bill, here -- winning nearly $50,000 in cash and being two match wins away from a new set of wheels. Bill, that new set of wheels could be in the future. But let's focus on the present -- the Bonus Bonanza. (hands Bill the dice) Free roll to start you out at $250 a point. (Bill, number from 1-100, please.)

Sounds like a life well-lived. May she rest in peace. (Bill rolls)And you start off with a 6 for $1500. Now -- please take these... ...the gold coins you earned in the match. You'll need these because the stakes increase -- and so do the dangers. Anytime you roll a 5, 7 or 9, I take away a coin and you have to roll again. Roll any of those sums with no coins to bail you out and you'll bust -- meaning everything in the pot goes away and the bonus game ends. On the positive side, every safe roll now is worth $500 a point. Double decision board is now in play. Three of those screens hide tens of thousands of dollars in cash -- one of them actually worth $100,000. The other three screens hide busts. If you roll a double, go to the board and find money, that much money goes to the pot -- and then that money is replaced with $1,000,000. (audience cheers) But if you go for it on a double and find a bust, you'll have to surrender a coin and roll again -- or surrender everything in the pot. Remember, the game ends when you want to stop after a safe roll, have at least $1,000,000 in the pot or bust with no coins to help. Since the free roll is a safe roll, I'll let you stop and bank $1500 -- or you may risk it all and roll again. (audience shouts suggestions)

All right, good luck, Bill. (Bill rolls) (audience groans) Ohhhh -- a bust roll right off the bat. I've got to take away a coin. Still have one. Roll again, please. (Bill rolls) (doubles cue; audience cheers)Hello!! Double decision time. Bill, think about this. You may take the safe route and have us add $1000 to the pot... ...or go to the double decision board and try to find big money. Find a cash prize and we'll add that much to the pot instead of $1000; that prize is then replaced with the miilion. Find a bust -- and I have to take away your last coin and you have to roll again. What's your double decision? (audience shouts suggestions)
