Me: Here at Top Card, we don't water down the quality of our prizes. Did we mention one of the players could drive home in a new Cadillac today? (Audience whistles and cheers) Let's see if you H - 2 - know this question. What is the longest river in the world? BUZZCODE: 23 James: 99 David: 40 (DING!) Me: David, beating James out on the plunger again. David: Nile. Me: At 4,258 miles (or 6,853 km) it is the longest river. (Applause) We're looking for a 7. We saw a couple of sevens on the board already. Could there be a third? Me: It's a four. (Groans from the audience) If you keep it, you go to 18, or you can take a risk with the top card. What's your pleasure? (Audience shouts suggestions)

Me: If the card is a seven, then the win will come from Heaven. Leslie? Leslie: This doesn't look well; this card ought to burn in Hell. (Trebek HR Bad Roll Horn) (NBC Audience Groans) Me: I'm so sorry, David, you went over 21. Perhaps you'll have better luck in the next round. James, it's a big break for you. You have three subjects which to get to 21. Which would you like to try first?

Me: Since it's just you still in the game, you do not need to buzz in. Which movie actor uttered the famous words, "I'll be back."? James: the terminator Me: Judge? (Old WOF Long buzzer) Me: Can't give it to you. We were looking for the actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. No card on that one; this means you are in a must-win situation. The next two cards must be a ten and an ace. Where to, next?

Me: You must answer this question correctly to stay alive, else Clément moves on to the Championship Round. Good luck. In Greek mythology, who is the god of the underworld? (3 seconds elapses, Trebek HR Bad Roll Horn) Me: Time! The answer was Hades. Clément wins by default! (applause, theme plays) (Leslie and I approach the podiums) Clément, we add another $1000 to an impressive total. You are one step closer to winning a trip around the world and possibly grand slamming in the bonus round. However, James or David will join you in the championship round and try to put a stop to all that. We'll see you later. (applause) When we come back, these two (pointing at James and David) will compete to see who advances on to the championship round. Who will it be? Stay tuned!

(Cold Open) Me: We are back with another round of Top Card. David and James are competing to see who will try to defeat Clément in the championship round and possibly go home in a brand new Cadillac. (Cheers and applause) To start this round, I have a wallet of money. Contestants, in front of you is a keypad where you will type in the amount of money you think is inside this wallet. Whoever is closer wins the money and gets to start round 2. In the event one of you hits it on the nose, you will win DOUBLE the amount! I will tell you now there is somewhere between $500 and $2500 in this wallet. Go ahead and type in your prediction. (DING! DING!) Both of you have locked in. Let's see your guesses. James: $1000 David: $550 The amount of money here is $1275. (Applause, walks over and hands the wallet to James and returns to the host's podium) Congratulations, James! The money is yours to keep regardless of the outcome of the game. Go ahead and pick one of these categories.

Me: How well do you know your landmarks? Hit your plunger if you can tell me the answer. The Statue of Liberty was given to the United States as a gift from which country? BUZZCODE: 18 David: 34 (DING) James: 52 Me: David? David: France. (Applause) Me: Très bien. Outside of bonjour, au revoir, and répondez s'il vous plaît, that's the only French I know. Let's see the card. (Explosion of cheers and applause)
Me: It's a 10! I think we all know what you'll do, but I'm obligated to ask. Keep the 10, or take the top card? (Audience is very one-sided)

(applause) The ten is yours. As before "way before twitter", here's the question. Which bird was commonly used by humans to send messages? BUZZCODE: 22 David: 60 (DING!) James: 62 Me: David, just edging out James. David: Carrier pigeons (applause) Me: Not to be confused with passenger pigeons, you are correct. The message that must be sent now is that if this card is an ace, David wins the round and $2100 in cash. What is the card? Me: David, that 9 will take you to 19, or you can gamble with the top card. What's your pleasure? (Audience gives advice)

(Applause, freeze sound effect) David has frozen at 19. James, you need a 20 or 21 to win the round. There are seven subjects remaining. Go ahead and choose one.

Me: Listen carefully to this question. A farmer has 13 cows. A bolt of lightning kills all but 5 of them. How many cows survived? James: 8 (Audience groans) Me: Sorry, that's not right. The lightning killed all BUT 5 of them. Only 5 survived. The card behind the category is now dead, but there are still 6 categories remaining. Where do we go from here?

Me: Speaking of annoyed grunts, this question is about Homer Simpson; who voices Homer Simpson in the TV show "The Simpsons"?
James: dan canastella
Me: Judges?
(Judges debate on validity of the answer)
(Old WOF long buzzer)
Judge on speaker: The misspelling of the last name changes the pronunciation significantly; therefore we rule against the contestant.
Me: Tough break on that one. The correct answer is Dan Castellaneta. No card on that one. You can still win; there are five categories remaining. What's your pleasure.

Me: Don't give up. You can still win with two cards. Here's the question: Who was the first US president to be assassinated? James: Lincoln. (cheers from the audience) Me: That's correct! Let's find out what is behind that category........... A four. Do you wish to keep that, or take the top card? (Audience suggestions are shouted.)

Me: Leslie, we turn to you for the first time this round. What do you have for James? Leslie: Change is good, but a king is better! (Cheers from audience)
Me: James, you are halfway home! Another ten or an ace will give you the victory. Where do you think it is?

Me: Oddly enough, this subject is NOT about Pinocchio. It's about crickets. What can you figure out about the weather by counting the cricket chirps?
James: Pass.
(Old WOF Long Buzzer)
Me: Oooh, too bad. You can figure out the temperature. Chin up; you can still win. However, David hopes you don't get 19 or 20...
(Judge yells offstage "20 or 21".)
Oh, excuse me. 20 or 21 rather. Three categories still in play. What's your pleasure?

Me: Are you a word wizard? Let's find out. Your choices are "less", "ex", or "ing". Which of these is a prefix? James: ex. (applause) Me: Ex-actly right! We hope to see a ten or an ace. What do we have? (Groans) A deuce. It's your call. Keep the two or take the top card?
