Ladies and Gentlemen, our current champion Clément will be making his final appearance on Top Card. He has over $27,000 going into his 5th match. Should he win the championship round again, he will win a trip around the world--unless the challengers stop him! Whoever makes it to the bonus round this episode could win one of five brand new Cadillacs, an assortment of fabulous prizes and $28,100 in cash. I need two contestants for this pivotal match, please. Those who lost in Episodes 5 & 6 are waitlisted.

Awesome! We will start this all-important game later today. Gameboy2000 and jman8606, if you two would like to PM me a little bit about yourselves, I would appreciate it. Thanks, and let's have a great show! EDIT: This is the unofficial "rematch" game from episode 4, as both of you just became eligible to play again.

(Theme Plays)
Dan: Our returning champion Clément Couvreur from Angers, France, is returning on his final show with cash and prizes totaling $27,223. If he wins his 5th game, he'll win a trip around the world worth over $54,000 (oohs) today on................
TOP CARD! (Applause) Here is the host of our show, Joe Emerson! (Applause)
(Walks down the stairs)
Me: Hello, and welcome to an exciting installment of Top Card! Ladies and Gentlemen, get on Facebook, and Twitter, and the phones, and tell all your friends to tune in this all-important show. In case you just tuned in, our announcer Dan said that our champion Clément could possibly win a trip around the world for being a 5-time undefeated champion. (Cheers)
Just to think, Clément, you almost won it all on your first day! However, luck turned on you, and that dastardly Joker robbed you of over $40,000...which by the way (feigning disgust) did NOT win the NGA award for most painful moment (Audience boos). Now, now, audience. Think of it this way; someone had it worse than he did. (A few titters)
Clément, any final words before you start your last hurrah?

I need that trip because I need a rest. I've had fun playing this game, and I hope I'll continue to enjoy the next 30 minutes.

Me: Good luck as you play your last game. However, there are two people who want to prevent you from taking that trip, and here to introduce these players is the lovely Leslie Banks! Welcome back, Leslie! (applause, contestant theme plays)
Leslie: Thank you all for that wonderful welcome!
Me: We have a lot in store today. We've got the trip on the line, bundles of money,
Leslie: (interrupts) and we have on offer in the bonus round, the winner will play for one of five brand new CADILLACS! (Whistles and ooohs)
Me: We're pulling out all the stops today! Leslie, who is our first challenger?
Leslie: Our first contestant is James Greek from Lower Alabama. His interest includes game shows, music, classic TV, and girls.
Me: Welcome to the show, James. Which classic shows pique your interest?

Me: That's quite the variety of genres. I'm mainly into sitcoms. Currently, I'm rewatching Mr. Belvedere and Gimme a Break. Welcome to our show, and good luck James. (applause) Leslie, who is our other challenger today?
Leslie: Last but not least is David from Virginia. He's currently hosting a pilot for an original series on NGC 1. (applause)
Me: It says here, you're hosting Questions for Dollars. Can you give us a little example of how the game works, David?

Contestant choose numbers off of the board. Each number contains a dollar amount. A question is asked and whoever buzzes in with the correct answer wins that money.

The premise sounds simple, and simplicity is key to a successful show. Much good luck with your show and this one. (Applause, walks back to his podium.) Gentlemen, the object of the game is to get as close to 21 without going over. The contestant who accomplishes that feat will win $1000 and move on to the championship round. Should a contestant get 21 on the nose, the cash prize will augment to $2100. You earn cards by correctly answering questions from these categories: You can either keep the card behind the category or exchange it with the top card of Leslie's deck. Keep in mind that aces count as 1 or 11 and deadlines are at 11:59:59 PM EDT two days out. Missing a deadline is a strike, and two strikes in the same round is an automatic forfeit. Having that said, it's time for Clément to choose the first category. Off you go.
Please select by 11:59:59 EDT Monday.

Me: Get your peanuts and Cracker Jacks and your hands on your plungers. How many innings does a baseball game have? BUZZCODE: 95 Clément: 49 (DING!) James: 9 David: 43 Me: And the champion rings in first. Clément: Nine (Applause) Me: No striking out on this question. Let's see what card will begin this round? A JACK! (Cheers) I think I know what you'd do, but I must ask. Will you keep the jack or take the top card? (Audience is unequivocally one-sided)

(Applause) Very good choice according to the audience. Let's see if you know your cartoon animals. What is the name of Mickey Mouse's pet dog? BUZZCODE: 69 Clément: 53 (DING!) James: 42 David: 22 Me: Clément, again. Clément: Pluto. (Applause) Me: That's right. Here's what I don't get. Why does Pluto walk on 4 legs and barks, but Goofy is bipedal and speaks? Leslie: (Her best Goofy impression) Well, garsh! (Audience laughs) Me: Garsh indeed! I'm sure we'll all be "garshing" if there's an ace behind that category. Me: Well, look at that! It's a 10! (Applause) Do you go to 20 and perhaps freeze, or take a gamble with the top card? (Audience shouts suggestions)

(Applause, Freeze Sound Effect) Just like that, Clément is at 20. The only way he can lose this round is for either of you, David or James, to get 21. If either of you do that, you move on with $2100 in cash. David, since you were the first challenger to check in this episode, you get to select the next category. Please do so by 11:59:59 PM EDT Tuesday.

From the bottom of measure 9, hands on plungers. Steven Tyler is the singer of which famous band? BUZZCODE: 37 James: 85 David: 70 (DING!) Me: David? David: Aerosmith (applause) Me: Yes indeed. If you walk this way, you'll see a dude who looks like a lady making love in an elevator... Leslie: Dream on! (Laughter) Me: Yes, but I heard it was originally "Leslie's got a gun", but that would be crazy. Dan: You're living on the edge there, Joe. (more laughter) Joe: Some of you may feel jaded, but without this banter, it's just the same old song and dance. Now let's come together to see the next card. Me: It's a seven. Would you like to keep it or take the top card? (Audience yells their opinions)

Me: We ditch the seven, and what do we have instead as the top card? Leslie: It's small to say the least. (Groans from audience) Me: It may not be a 10 or an ace, but a 2 can go a long way. Select the next category, David, if you will please by 11:59:59 PM EDT Tuesday.

How well do you know your vitamins? Hands on your plungers! Scurvy is the result of a deficiency in which vitamin? BUZZCODE: 62 James: 85 David: 55 (DING!) Me: David, again. David: Vitamin C (applause) Me: That's correct, and also rickets is the result of a vitamin D deficiency. Anyway, let's see the next card. It's another seven. Do you keep this seven, or dump it and take the top card? (Audience shouts suggestions)

Me: We bid adieu to that 7 as well. What do we have in its stead, Leslie? Leslie: Deja vu? (Audience awwws) Who knows? It's still possible to get to 21 for either one of you. You've doubled to four, and you need another seventeen to go. There are still 5 categories remaining. Where do we go next, David?

Hope you know your fairy tales. Hands on the plungers: Which two fairytale characters ended up in a house made of gingerbread? BUZZCODE: 49 James: 87 David: 78 (DING!) Me: David with the faster hands. David: Hansel and Gretel. (Applause) I wonder whatever happened to those two...oh well. What's behind Mother Goosery? (Laughter from the audience)
Me: Would you believe that, ANOTHER TWO??? It will take you to a six, or you can take the top card. There are no 5-card Charlies in Top Card. What's your pleasure? (Audience shouts suggestions)

Me: Leslie, if you have another two, I swear..... Leslie: Not this time. Me: That brings you up to 14. You are now 7 away from 21. There are four categories remaining; which subject is next, David?
