Hello there, and welcome to $ale of the Century Plus, where spending little money can actually win you big prizes, and we've been doing that for many years both here and in Australia, and speaking of Australia, we have a legendary announcer who has voiced $ale for Tony Barber and Glenn Ridge. It's none other the legendary Peter Smith! (Audience Cheers and Applause)Peter: Thank you, Dayo! Glad to be here, mate! DK: Same here, Peter and welcome to America! I'm sure you'll be feeling right at home! And in this show, we always have good hostesses, and in this show, we've found a good hostess, and many people did not know her until the 2018 revival of Nickelodeon's Double Dare, where she has been nominated as the Favorite TV Host for the Kids' Choice Awards in 2019. She's none other Liza Koshy! (Audience Cheers and Applause)(Liza comes out and greets DK with a big fist bump) Liza: Hello, y'all! Thank you all so much! Hi, Dayo! DK: Yo, Liza! Your personality from the Double Dare revival actually made me feel like a kid again. Liza: I know, and I was so honored to be working with the legendary Marc Summers. (Cheers and Applause)Oh, yeah! DK: And now, do you feel like you got what it takes to be my co-host for this show? Liza: I was born ready, and I really hope that we do give away a LOT of money. DK: Well, I hope so, too. In fact Liza, why don't you do the honor of introducing our contestants for our very first show? Liza: I certainly will, Dayo, and here they are... First, we have a graduating aviation management student, and is currently training for a new job, meet William Low! (Audience Applause)Next, we have a supermarket clerk from Council Bluffs, Iowa! Aiming for a job in data verification. But I'm also weighing up the prospect of going back to studying to do a Bachelor's degree.

A Bachelor's Degree in what area?

|
Post by williamlow31 on Oct 25, 2021 9:38:52 GMT -5
Bachelor’s degree in global media and communication from Murdoch University. I did try to sign up for a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from the University of South Australia, but at the moment, they are not accepting new students (I assume because of COVID).

Well, I hope you do very well in that area, but should the other area open up, I do hope you do well in that one, too. In any event, good luck to you.
Now over to Matt. You're a Supermarket Clerk, and with the Holidays coming up, you should be a little concerned about Social Distancing because COVID is still here. Are you prepared for that?

Kinda like 50% around that area, and I don't blame you. I wanted to go to the Youth County Fair, but of course, thanks to COVID, and to my mom being a nurse chief (God Bless Her), I rather sit at home and stay healthy than taking the risk.
Also Matt, what is your big ambition?

That is indeed a big goal to get. It's like playing Deuces Wild Poker, and you get a Royal Flush, but with the help of the Deuces, and you want a Natural Royal Flush. I certainly understand that, as only a few, including many Bowling Legends would like to get a 300, especially on National TV, where there's a $1,000,000 reward for doing so, but only in the Finals. But in any event, I wish all 3 of you good luck as we get to play "$ale of the Century Plus"! (Audience Cheers and Applause)Now players, the object of the game is to correctly answer questions in order to build up money into your account. Now, after each question is read, the player who gives me the closest buzz-in code to the Magic Number between 1 and 100 will get to answer the question. If you're right, you'll add money, but if you're wrong, you'll lose money, and only one player per question, and only one answer is allowed. Along the way, you'll play a few games, which our special Bargain Hunt version of Roulette, and also discover a few Bargains as well. The player who has the most money in their account at the end of the program is our champion, and will get to do some incredible shopping at The $ale of the Century Round, but... be on the lookout for The Black Box. That box could literally make a huge difference between winning a lot of prizes and not winning much. That being said, let's check on the buzzers and see if they're working properly. First, William. (Ring-In!)Thank you, and next, Matt. (Ring-In!)Thank you, and finally, Nels. (Ring-In!)Thank you very much, and we'll all set to go. Now, one more thing. As this is a game of knowledge, luck, skill and strategy, if one of you does really well in this game, one of you could win over $75,000 in our Main Game! (Audience Cheers and Applause)And there's even more to win after that in our all-new Showcase in The $ale of the Century Round! But if you want to win big, you got to start off small. With that, here's $20 to start off with! (Ding)Your first set of questions will appear at your PM, and if you know the answer, PM your buzzcode between 1 and 100 for that question, but if you don't know and don't want to buzz-in, PM your buzzcode as 0.

(From 00:10 to 00:15) Ah, and that sound means that it's time to play one of our newest games called " Bargain Roulette". Here's how this game works. On the floor is a classic American Roulette table, like this: And in front of Liza is our American Roulette Wheel, like this: Now, before the show began, our players have been asked to place a special "Lucky Number" on the table. Should the ball land on that player's Lucky Number, and that player will instantly win a prize, and that prize will be their to keep, no matter what happens in the game. So, William has placed his Lucky Number at 15. Matt has placed his Lucky Number at 6. Finally, Nels has placed his Lucky Number at 12. Their Lucky Numbers are locked in and that will be their number throughout the entire game, and they cannot change it. Now, let's take a look at the Roulette Wheel. There are 38 numbers on the Wheel in which 36 of them are numbered 1 to 36. Half of the numbers are Red, and the other half are Black. Of course, we have those 2 Zeros (0 and 00) on the Wheel, and should the ball land on them at any time, everyone participates. That's where the challenge comes in, players. Like in Roulette, you make predictions, BUT! In our version, you don't make any multiple predictions. It's either a one-or-the-other prediction, and you'll see what I mean in just a moment. Now, since we're in Round 1, we're going to play the Bargain Quiz. All the answers are either "Yes" or "No", and you will be using your lockout buzzers and your PM buzzcodes for this first game. HOWEVER! In order for you to actually participate the quiz, you must correctly predict on whether the ball on the Roulette Wheel will land on either Red or Black. If you make a correct prediction, you will then participate on a question, and if you are right, you will earn a check-mark. Be careful, though, because if you are wrong, and if there is at least one opponent who also made a correct prediction, that opponent will receive the check-mark. Whoever collects 3 check-marks first wins the first Bargain Roulette game and is rewarded with $15 to their account, and will receive a nice bonus prize package. Now, first things first. I'm going to now ask you on whether the ball will land on either Red or Black. Make your predictions right here at this time.

DK: William and Matt each go for Red and Nels goes for Black, and now Liza, let's spin the wheel and roll that ball! (Liza spins the Wheel and then rolls the ball in the opposite direction) Liza: Red, 32. DK: So it's Red, so William and Matt will get the first question, and by the way, all of these questions will have something to do with famous bargains, and you must simply answer "Yes" or "No". But of course, you must PM me your buzzcode from 1 to 100, and the one closest to the Magic # will get to answer, and you will have 24 hours to give me your answer, or I will count it as an incorrect answer. Therefore, William and Matt, step right up, and here's your first question. Now, remember this? Yeah, this is the world's famous Cabbage Patch Kids doll, a timeless classic from the late 70s and the early 80s. Specifically, they were debuted around 1982 by Coleco Industries. Now, would you get this particular doll at a bargain price of... CABBAGE PATCH DOLL
$48?William and Matt, PM me your buzzcode, along with your answer now. You have until 8:40 PM on October 29, 2021.
