Michael Clifford is a two time champion with one defeat. Mark Liotta has one defeat, however, I seem to recall Mark you mentioning something about a hockey tournament during this month of March. Will you be able to participate in this episode? James Greek, I know you mentioned during the previous episode you wanted to participate. Did you still want to do so for episode 10? Check in when you are able to gentlemen and let me know please. With deepest thanks, Bill P.S. I hope this early March snowstorm is not adversely affecting any of you. It is me, especially my hips and back. Two hours shoveling will do that to a middle-aged fella like me

I do have a hockey tournament this month, Bill; however, that's not for about another couple of weeks. Therefore, James can play this episode and I'll come back for episode 11

Well just remember there's 3 players on "Three on a Match" Mark so there's room for Michael, James and you, if you wish.

In that case, I'll play this episode. However, I will request that the game be stopped when I go away for my tournament and then we can pick things up again when I return.

Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): Michael Clifford…, Mark Liotta…, and James Greek... Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): If your first three picks match, Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): you will win top dollar, plus the instant match jackpot which today is valued at $2,500 in cash! Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): It's the Emmy Award Winning "Three on a Match"! Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): And now, from the Bill Cullen Theatre at Rockefeller Center, New York, here is your host... Bill McDee! I believe that's yours truly! (polite applause applause) ((knocking on the wall behind me)) A very warm greeting to you all from us here at "Three on a Match", and warmth is what is needed these days. Have you ever experienced a longer winter than this one? Spring will soon be upon us, and incidentally, speaking of spring, for most of you viewing the clocks "spring" ahead one hour this weekend here in the U.S. of A. so be sure to remember to set your clocks ahead one hour and be ever so careful driving come Monday morning too. Statistics have shown an increase in traffic accidents on the first Monday after Daylight Savings Time starts. So between the time change and the weather and potholes, easy does it out there, okay? In the meantime, we're going to try to heat things up here with our little game and three eager contestants who are ready, willing and able to do battle here. In our champion's position is our returning champion. He has won two matches so far and this is his fourth day with us. Remember, we have a two loss elimination rule here on our show. He has one loss, hence the red nameplate. Back with $26,525 in cash and prizes, a resident of Marlton, New Jersey who is a fan of game shows and many Philadelphia sports teams, as well as Casey Kasem's American Top 40 program, make welcome once again, Michael Clifford. (cheering & applause) In the middle, back for his second day, our returning challenger. He has not won any matches and is facing elimination here today, so the pressure is on. But even in a losing effort he won $8,050 in cash and prizes on our last program. He is involved with Black Light theater in Toronto, welcome him back please, Mark Liotta! (cheering & applause) And rounding out our contestant panel this day is a newcomer. He hails from eastern lower Alabama, is an in-home care giver and also enjoys game shows, music and classic television, as do I. Trying for his first win here today, please welcome James Greek! (cheering & applause) I want to start the proceedings by wishing each and every one of you very good luck in today's match. I will remind you that the player who has the highest money score at the end of today's match will be crowned the champion, and will play our end game "Bonus Bucks", where one of them could win a brand new automobile plus $50,000 in cash!!! (wild cheering and loud applause) There are prizes to be won during the course of play, however, the value of those prizes will not affect your scores players. Any prizes you claim are yours to keep, regardless of the outcome of the match, and that's also true for any cash you pick up as well. We start the proceedings with what we call our "FREE PLAY" round. Each contestant will have a turn at the board to try to win some score money right away, without having to first answer a question. We've changed things up here just a bit. There are no prizes on the board, but there are money cards now instead. Each player will have 7 picks to try to match three money amounts on the board. Each column contains a $20 money card, a $30 a $40 and a $50 money card. The first dollar amount you match will then be multiplied. By how much you ask? Well, that depends on how quickly you match three of them. If you need all 7 picks to make a match, the dollar amount matched will be multiplied by 5. 6 picks will multiply the dollar amount by 10. 5 picks will multiply the dollar amount by 15, 4 picks multiplied by 20 and finally if you make an instant match, that money amount will be multiplied by 25. Therefore, and to it, if you match all three $50 money cards instantly, that $50 will be multiplied by 25 and you'll score $1,250. The contestant who achieves a match in the fewest number of picks will also win a very nice prize, which we'll hear about at the end of the round. If two or more players make a match with the same fewest number of picks, the high money scorer will win the prize. If the money score is also tied, duplicate prizes will be awarded. We begin, as always, with the returning champion, that is you Michael. When selecting a box, please indicate which column and which color you wish to select. Remember too, you may only reveal a maximum of three boxes in any given column. Michael, start us off please by selecting your first 2 boxes.

20 on the Yellow it shall be... (flip) (groaning in the audience) Well Michael, we know the next box you pick has to match one of these money amounts. If your next two picks are the other $50 money cards, that will end up being $500 for your score to start out. Where to now please?

Let's look behind 40 on the Yellow... (flip) There it is!!! (applause) $50 times 10 means $500 for you, a good start champ! Took six picks to make a match. If both of your challengers need 7 picks or don't make a match at all, you will win a bonus prize Michael. Now we turn to Mark. Mark we've reshuffled the board, and now it is your turn... (I recall you will be, or maybe already are, in a hockey tournament, and you requested I keep the game on hold until you return, and I shall do that, but if you're here, we'll continue now of course)... Please select your first 2 boxes Mark.

40 on the Yellow for Mark... (flip) (moans & groans in the audience) Well well, this is like Deja Vu all over again. Mark, you too have uncovered a 20, 30 and 40 just like Michael did a few moments ago. Where to next Mark?

(audience stirs, confused by that pick)... 30 on the Red it shall be...though we know it won't be a match for the other two $40 money cards... (flip) There's a $50 money card there. The center column is now closed. Still 2 picks left to perhaps try to find that third $40 card Mark. Where to now?

20 on the Green for a match? Let's see... (flip) No, that's a $50 card. Down to your last pick Mark. If you try to match the third $40 card, you'll have a 50/50 chance in column 20 and will score $200. If you try to match the $50 money card in the 40 column, it's a one in 3 chance, but will be worth $250 to you. Where to now for your last pick Mark?
