You have $1,000 as of now, because if you lose, you get $500 for each number knocked down. All rolls are good for now, so you can proceed and roll again. (double SFX, cheers and applause) It's a double! Here's a second insurance marker for you. How do you want to play the 6?

The 6 alone. Still no danger now, so roll the dice. Another double would be great. A five. Only one way to play the 5, remove the 2 and the 3. You're sticking with low figures. You need higher numbers to clear the board. The bad rolls are 3, 5, 6 and 10. Three chances to roll something good and be one step closer to the big prize... It's a nine. (applause) Take off the 9... Still two insurance markers, and the good rolls are 4, 7, 8, 11 and 12. You're still in pretty good shape... (double SFX, cheers and applause) It's a double! First, get rid of that four... Second, here's a third insurance marker... Three insurance markers is the maximum we've ever had on our show, you've tied the record. That means four chances to roll either a 7 or an 8, the last two good rolls available. Good luck! (cheers and applause) It's a seven! Switch off that 7! Four chances to roll an 8, that's possible! (audience starts chanting "Eight! Eight! Eight!") (moans) It's a six. Give me one insurance marker back, please. (Matt does, audience encourages) Two insurance markers and three chances left... (groans) It's a seven, one away. I need another insurance marker. Six, seven, can you complete the chain with an eight? (audience encourages) (buzzer, double SFX) It's a ten. Nothing good or bad, just roll again. (groans) It's a nine, and there goes your last insurance marker. You've rolled six, then seven, and you failed to roll an eight. You've rolled a ten, a nine, can you get the winning number this time? (audience encourages) (rollcode 1-36, I've run out of your list)

Come on eight! (buzzer, groans) It's a five... However, you win $4,000 for eight numbers down, bringing your 2-day total to... Seventy-four thousand, forty-two dollars! (cheers and applause) That's a loss for you, but you'll have a chance to get back on track tomorrow! This will be episode 30, with some nice surprises! Until then, remember the best way to stay young: be young in your mind. Bye! (credits roll) (MODS: this and episode 28 are ready for archive)

Thank you for having me. Matt, splendid match.
Cle'ment I'm curious, during the Big Numbers, Matt rolled only 2 doubles that would have afforded him an insurance marker. How did he end up with 3? Did one carry over from the "Temptation" game?
I really love that new mini-game. One suggestion I might offer, rather than require players to have to roll a number that's higher, require them instead to not repeat a number previously rolled.
The reason I say that, if a player rolls a high number early on, as Matt did, it takes the car out of play pretty much right away, and makes the decision easy for the contestant to quit.
Also, if they roll a double during the "Temptation" game, have them get an insurance marker, but no number.
So for example,
Prize 1 is won automatically, the player rolls a 7.
They can quit or gamble and go for prize 2. If they roll a 7, they win nothing.
Prize 2 roll is an 11.
The player decides to gamble and go for prize 3.
The player rolls a 2 (snake eyes). The player gets a marker for rolling a double, but they do NOT get the "2". They must roll again. Suppose they roll another 7. Then they must give the marker back and roll again. This time they roll double 4's (8). They get a marker, but the 8 does NOT get lit up, they must roll again.
Just some thoughts/ideas I had regarding "Temptation". I love that idea for a mini game! Had a terrific time even though I did not fare very well!
Thanks Cle'ment and Matt!
Best,
Bill

For Temptation, I might reduce the number of prizes before you play for the car from 4 to 3, because the car is indeed a bit too hard to reach, or/and offer a free special insurance marker. I long thought about it when bringing on this game I conceived years ago, but I wanted to test it live before tweaking it. Your idea is well, but the "don't-roll-a-duplicate" rule is featured on many other side games (Double or Nothing, for example). I wanted to create something else. In Temptation, if you roll a double, you get a special insurance marker working only in the side game. Matt didn't get any.
For that third insurance marker, Matt managed to carry over an insurance marker from the first game of the match, that's why he ended up with three.
