Finally, episode #29 is underway. Last time, we crowned a new champion, Matt, who won in just one day $59,022 in cash and prizes. Once again, Big Numbers were lost with just one number left, jackpot grows to $28,000. (overall record: 3-25) Bill expressed by PM his wish to play this episode, so the signups for this episode are closed. However, I always take subscriptions for upcoming episodes. I need Matt and Bill to send me fifteen rollcodes (1-36 inclusive) and to check-in in this thread before we start.

James, you're booked for episode #30. Stay tuned. (usual intro) Here's the game of hiiiigh stakes! Where every decision is a gamble and every move could be your last... HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH ROLLERS! And now, the star of High Rollers... Clément!(cheers and applause) Welcome to High Rollers! Thanks for watching us, formerly at BigJon's forum, now here on Net Game Central. Here's our 29th episode today, and I still enjoy hosting, hope you enjoy too. Last time, we bid farewell to our 14-time champion Evan and his $424,475 of winnings, and we crowned a new one. Let's meet our players. Matt is our champion. He shut Evan out and won over $59,000 in cash and prizes, including five trips around the world. With whom will you go?

Hi very nice to be here Cle'ment!
I am Bill McDee, 48 years young, I reside in the suburban Philadelphia Pennsylvania area with my wife and son.
I work as a data entry operator for a pharmaceutical research firm.
In my spare time I enjoy writing, spending time with family, watching classic 1950s and 1970s sitcoms, and also classic game shows from that bygone era as well, including High Rollers episodes on youtube, both with Alex Trebek and Wink Martindale hosting!

A time that less-than-40 cannot know about. Wait... Trebek's still active? (laughs) Well... Forget that. We're on air, can we cut? No? Forgive that, then. (laughs) You know how to play High Rollers, but if you're watching for the first time, here are the rules. We're playing a best-of-three match, each game consisting of nine numbers arranged in three columns. I'll ask a question, and whoever gets it right can roll or pass the dice. If you roll, you have to eliminate one or several numbers from the board, totalling the amount of your roll. If you clear the last number of a column, you claim the prizes attached to that column, but you have to win the game to actually win them. If you cannot clear numbers with what you rolled, you lose the game. If you clear the last number of the board, you win the game. We have two prizes in the first column, and one prize in the second and third column, and we have room for five, so we'll add some more prizes. What with the stove and the sofa, Rich? We're adding to your interior package a new TV! Offering the ultimate 4K Ultra HD experience, the Toshiba 65" 4K Ultra HD TV delivers brighter, more colorful and deeper images than ever, plus Labyrinth™ Speaker System, DTS Premium Sound™, it's also a connected screen to access the Internet. A prize worth $3,700, making the value of Column 1 $11,116!(applause) What with the office printer in Column 2? We're adding to your office printer a new C-desk! Create a complete workstation by adding this new 72" wide desktop. Featuring two covered storage compartments, large open center compartment and six work-in-progress cubbies, this hutch adds a plethora of storage to your office. Built in America! A prize worth $2,839, making the value of Column 2 $8,032!(applause) More than a corner desk, a C-desk with three sides. Finally, the electric bike is not longer alone... We're adding to the electric like an all-terrain vehicle! From Kawasaki, the KFX50 comes with a 50cc four-stroke engine and automatic transmission. A prize worth $1,999, making the value of Column 3 $4,398!(applause) What's the total value of the board? The total value of the board is $23,546!(applause) You can say it's low, but that's Matt's fault, he swept the board last time. One thing missing: numbers. Hot column for this first game is Column 1. If you roll a 10 and clear all three numbers in one turn, you'll win a guaranteed $500. Plus, if you win the game, not only you'll win the desk and the printer, but your $500 will become $5,000! (cheers and applause) Here's the first question. How many touchdowns were scored in last Superbowl? (buzzcode 1-100 - you can include your answer if you want, but that's not mandatory)

(Matt passed) Bill, your answer? 7.
Correct. Four by the Patriots, three by the Seahawks. All rolls are good, so you can proceed. It's a seven. How do you want to play it?

I'll just remove the "7" in column three please, to keep the hot column jackpot alive.

All rolls are still good as we move on to our second question. Within 250 miles, how long is the Transsiberian?

Post by CCSCO on Feb 5, 2015 11:08:33 GMT -5
Actual code: 100 1st: Bill (50) 2nd: Matt (44) Bill? Transsiberian is 250 miles. The world is small, trust me. (laughter) It's much longer: 5,772 miles long. Matt, you get the dice. It's a six, Matt.

Actual code: 53 1st: Bill (50) 2nd: Matt (15) Bill again! I believe is two, Alex Trebek (1974-76 & 1978-80) and Wink Martindale (1987-88)Perfect! More than I needed. Still no threat for you, Bill, so let's have a roll. (double SFX, cheers and applause) It's an eight! I think I know what you're going to do, but I have to ask. How do you want to play that 8?

Paris is correct. 16,000 taxis in Paris, only 13,000 in NYC. All rolls are still good, Matt. Let's roll. (double SFX, cheers and applause) It's a double! Here's an insurance marker for you, and also for Bill who rolled a double previously. I almost forgot. How do you want to play that 6?

Here are the first bad rolls and the 5th question. Was the Hawk-Eye system used for the first time in a tennis tournament more or less than 10 years ago?

Buzzcode & answer sent Cle'ment (hey that rhymed!)
Anyway, I'm copying and pasting what I put in the vacation thread:
Hi Gang!
I'll try to copy & paste this message in all the games in which I'm involved.
I will have limited access today, tomorrow, a bit more access on Sunday and probably not at all on Monday.
Here's what's going on.
Today after I get done work at 2pm, my son and his high school team have their final away match of the season. They've thankfully already had their final home match on Wednesday. By the time we get home, have dinner and such, I'll probably be ready to go to sleep, so I won't be on at all most likely in the afternoon. I will try to check for updates from work during the day today (Friday Feb. 6th).
Tomorrow morning my son has his Saturday morning junior bowling league which I'll go to watch most likely. In the event that I do not, I'll perhaps be on here limited on Saturday morning. Saturday evening he and I are bowling in a tournament from 6pm til 8pm. After that, I'll be coming home and going to sleep.
Sunday, February 8th I will be on sporadically at best. My son has a big chapter test coming up in his geometry class, so I'll be devoting time to helping him review for that.
Monday, February 9th will be more time preparing for his geometry test which is on Tuesday, February 10th.
So today (Friday), tomorrow (Saturday Feb. 7th), Sunday, February 8th and Monday, February 9th, I will probably have limited access at best those days.
This is one reason why there has not been a Gambit P.M. announcement for episode 9 as yet. I like to get all the questions loaded, all the boards prepared ahead of time, but rest assured, there will be more Gambit P.M.!
Thank you,
Bill

(No problem, Bill) Actual code: 3 1st: Matt (10) 2nd: Bill (50) Matt? Less.
The system was inaugurated in 2006, that's less. The bad rolls are 8 and 10. Now, it's time for an announcement. To celebrate episode 30, our prize board will get an overhaul, and it will have an odds chart on it. We don't have it as of yet, but to anticipate that evolution, I can give you the odds right now. With one insurance marker, you have a 97% chance of rolling something good. If you choose to pass, Bill has the same probability, since he also has one insurance marker. That said, Matt, would you like to roll or pass the dice to Bill?

That new board ties in nicely with the Trebek question, since his first American hosting gig was the Wizard of Odds

You don't fear anything, and I don't think you should... (applause) It's a seven. Let's take off 4 and 3. And you've cleared Column 2! One column for each player, one prize package is going to be won. Question #6. In music, what's the opposite of a sharp?

Actual code: 19 1st: Matt (74) 2nd: Bill (82) Matt? A flat. It's correct. Now, here's the situation. With one insurance marker, you or Bill have a 40% chance to roll something good. But you, or Bill, have an 11% chance to win outright by rolling an 11. 2 or 9, the game goes on, 11 wins, anything else loses. What do you want to do?
