Bill, you know the drill. Two chances to roll something good. If you roll an 11, you win the game outright. Good luck. (buzzer, groans) It's a six. Not what we need, so please give me your insurance marker. One last chance... (buzzer, double SFX) It's a double, but it's a bad roll. No instant loss, no insurance marker, just roll again. (cheers and applause) It's a nine! Take off the nine! One number left on the board, so this is the last question of this first game. The longest marriage ever lasted more or less than 90 years?

The audience had rotten tomatoes if you ever elected to roll. (laughter) Bill, one chance to roll snake eyes. Good luck... (buzzer, groans) It's a five... Matt wins the first game! (cheers and applause) Matt, you've won an office printer and a desk, global value $8,032. Your total winnings are now $67,054! (cheers and applause) Plus, you need only one game to win the match now. Will Matt win the match or will Bill force a tie-breaker? We'll find out right after this! (fade out)

(fade in) Welcome back to High Rollers! If you've just come here, Matt, our champion, has won a very exciting first game, and two prizes, a printer and a desk. Now, it takes two games to win a match. Bill needs this one to force a tie-breaker. Our three columns are not complete, so we have prizes to add to them. In the first column, I see a stove, a sofa and a TV. What next? We're adding to your interior package a TV stand and a coffee table! First, this traditional TV stand is made of solid hardwood and veneer construction and features seven drawers. A prize worth $1,461. Plus, a new coffee table! This Noguchi-style Triangle Coffee Table is a masterpiece of modern design. The design is both ethereal and practical: an elegant, sturdy and durable table. This balance of sculptural form and everyday function makes the Triangle Coffee Table an understated and beautiful element in homes and offices. A prize worth $799, making the final value of Column 1 $13,376!(applause) There closes the first column. Column 2 has been left empty, that shouldn't stay long. You're going to play Temptation for a terrific prize package worth $42,525!(cheers and applause) I don't know which prizes are in play, but I can tell you that there's a car. (more cheering) Finally, we have a bike and an ATV in Column 3. What next? We're adding to your exterior package a new family tent! The Kelty Frontier 10 x 10 3-season tent has extra space, enhanced comfort, and a lot of convenient features for the big family that requires luxurious camping. The cavernous sleeping area provides more than enough room for six members, and the expansive vestibule has even more space for a comfortable living area. A prize worth $1,400, making the value of Column 3 $5,798!(applause) This shall be an expensive board, isn't it? Sure, Clément. The potential value of the board is $61,699!(cheers and applause) Only nine things missing on this board: numbers. Hot Column for this game is Column 3, for the exterior package and a $5,000 cash bonus. First question. Brad Rutter or Ken Jennings, who won the most money in their initial Jeopardy! run?

Actual code: 5 1st: Matt (35) 2nd: Bill (50) Matt? Ken Jennings.Correct! He won more than two and a half million dollars, compared to Rutter's "tiny" $55,000. Overall, Rutter won more than Jennings, though. Roll the dice, Matt. It's a three.

That cancels the Hot Column bonus. New question. What 8-letter term defines a person exposed, repeatedly and over time, to verbal, physical and/or emotional harassment?

Well, my question is badly formulated. Here's the proper one.
What 8-letter term defines the action of exposing someone, repeatedly and over time, to verbal, physical and/or emotional harassment?

The word I was looking for was BULLYING. We'll toss this one out. New question, look at this picture. Who is this American actor, caricatured here by the French show Les guignols de l'info?

Actual code: 33 1st: Bill (37) 2nd: Matt (67) Bill? Sylvester Stallone.Representing World Company and the all-powerful America, called Monsieur Sylvestre here in France, Stallone is correct. Here's Stallone with his clone, They're not that resembling. All rolls are good, Bill. You know what to do. (cheers) It's a seven. I'm required to ask, where to?

(cheers) If you win the game, not only you'll force a tie-breaker, but you'll also get the exterior prize package worth more than $5,700. Oh, already. This is the tenth and last question of the game. I remind you the rules: whoever rolls something good can elect to roll again or pass the dice and control. If there's a tie-breaker, it will be a one-question tie-breaker. As of now, since all rolls are still good, whoever answers correctly to this question gets to roll immediately. Here it is. What is the sum of the numbers called "craps" in said game?
|
|
|
Post by CCSCO on Feb 13, 2015 10:37:19 GMT -5
Actual code: 41 1st: Matt (42) (missed by one!) 2nd: Bill (17) Matt? 7.Seven... teen. (groans) The craps are 2, 3 and 12. The sum is 17. Therefore, Bill gets the dice. It's a ten. Only one way to play that 10: get rid of the 6 and the 4. Leaving the 3 in Column 2. Now, Bill, you get the first decision. The bad rolls are 4, 6, 7 and 10. The odds of rolling something good are 56% for you with no insurance marker. With one insurance marker, Matt has an 81% chance of rolling something good. Remember, whoever rolls something good gets the same decision, so if you pass, it could backfire to you. That said, Bill, what's your decision?

Definitely have to pass them.

All right. Matt, two chances to roll something good. Good luck. It's an eleven! (cheers and applause) Let's take away 8 and 3... That clears Column 2! (cheers and applause) If you win this game, not only you'll win your second match, but you'll also play Temptation for a chance to win a car. (cheers and applause) Now, two numbers left and two good rolls left. With your insurance marker in hand, you have a 46% chance to roll something good if you choose to roll. On his own, Bill has a 27% chance to roll something good, if you choose to pass. Remember, if you pass and Bill rolls a 5 or a 9, your pass could backfire. What's your decision?

Bill, that's one chance to roll a 5 or a 9 or we'll say goodbye to you. Good luck! (buzzer, groans) It's a six... Matt remains champion! (cheers and applause) Bill, it was a blast to have you today in this game. The dice weren't on your side but you've been a great player. We have some parting gifts for you backstage, thanks for playing. (applause) Matt, that's your second win, and you'll try to win $28,000 in a matter of minutes at the Big Numbers. But before, you'll play a brand-new side game, called Temptation. Just after the break. (fade out)

Welcome back! Matt has won his second game today, to win his second match. He'll play the Big Numbers in just a moment.
Matt, you're going to play Temptation. In this game, you have 5 prizes of ascending value, the last one being a new car worth more than $26,000! (cheers and applause)
In this game, you'll play with both dice. We'll give you a free roll of the dice for the first prize and to win subsequent prizes, you'll have to roll something at least equal to your previous roll.
Now, this game is called Temptation, because after each good roll, you'll have the opportunity to quit with the prizes accumulated or roll for the next prize but if you lose, you lose everything. Since you didn't claim any other prize for this game, if you lose, you're guaranteed the house minimum of $500 in cash.
One more thing: if you roll a double, you'll get a special insurance marker which works the same way.
Here's the prize associated with the free roll.
It's a baby double stroller! The Baby Jogger City Mini GT double stroller takes compact, all-terrain mobility to the next level. Its easy to use design makes it perfect for all day excursions in the urban jungle and weekend adventures off the beaten path. A prize worth $580.
(applause) To claim that stroller, all you have to do is to roll the dice. Do you have any questions? If not, please roll (1-36 - I don't use your buzzcode list for side games).

(applause) It's a fairly low number, and you've won the stroller. Here's the next prize you could be playing for. It's a ring! This cathedral halo diamond engagement ring setting is made to hold a cushion cut diamond in the center and features 0.60 carats of beautiful round diamonds set on the sides. This unique halo diamond proposal band is a 14K white gold stunner with beautiful details and lots of dazzle. A prize worth $2,408!(applause) Now, to claim that ring, you have to risk the stroller and roll 5 or more. Do you want to walk away with the stroller or roll again?

5 or higher... (groans) It's higher, but it's much higher, it's a 10 to work with. You've got a stroller and a ring, what's the next prize to be claimed? It's a new gazebo! This elegant oval 10x16 vinyl gazebo is ideal for a wonderful setting for you to relax with family and friends. Made from maintenance-free vinyl, Amish craftsmanship ensures the highest quality design and construction. A prize worth $4,749!(applause) A bigger prize, the rewards increase as well as the risks. Do you want to walk away with $2,988 worth of prizes or roll again and try to get 10 or higher and be one step closer to the car? (out of curiosity, if you stop, could you please send me a short list of rollcodes to see what'd have happened?)

(cheers and applause) No one is blaming you for that. Now, I'm curious about what would have happened if you continued. Let's take the next roll... (applause) It was a nine, and you'd end up with the house minimum. Instead, you win nearly three thousand dollars worth of prizes... ...and you've just broken the $70,000 mark! (cheers and applause) Will you get close to a 6-digit score? We'll find out right after this! Don't go away. (fade out)

(fade in) Welcome back! Second win for our champion, Matt, and second trip to the Big Numbers for him. First one was unsuccessful, second one could be worth... ...twenty-eight thousand dollars! (cheers and applause) Clear the entire board and you'll be very close to 6-digit territory. You've carried to this stage one insurance marker, make a good use of it. Good luck. It's a 6.
