(audience cheers)Doug: There's the answer. Let's see if our stars came up with that. Again, need four to say "blocking". We start with Mark. Mark: (card) (ding; audience applause)Doug: There's one. Bill, do you make it two? Bill: (card) (ding; audience applause)Doug: Yes. Let's see if you sweep that row with Nels. Nels: Mark can’t do this but Rodman can... (card) (ding; audience applause)Doug: Three for three. Now you need to match anyone from the bottom row to clinch a tie. Tony? Tony: You know Dennis... he's a chip off the old... (card) (ding; audience applause)Doug: There's four. Need one more for the win. Steve? Steve: (card) (dings; audience applause)Doug: That's the win. Five matches at $100 each for $500 total. *Another* $500 will come for winning the game. However, if you match Pham, you score a $400 bonus for running the table. Pham? Pham: (card) (dings; audience applause; win music plays; MG-HSH theme plays)Doug: BINGO! Doug: Matt, please join me over here -- and take your place on the blue dot. John, we hope you had fun. $400, fine gifts, and all this applause are yours, John Bergman. (more cheers as MG players' area rolls off toward stage left; rest of grid rolls in from stage right) Doug: Matt, as for you, $1500 to the good already. That's a mere pittance to what you could win in Hollywood Squares. The champ comes back, three more stars are on the way, and Tony and I trade places. Stick around, friends. The fun's just begun!

Good luck to you, Lenny. Before we start the game, please allow me to explain the rules... The object of the game is to get three stars in a row-- Either across... up and down... or digonally-- or to get as many of the squares as you possibly can. It's up to them if the star is telling the truth or creating a bluff. That's how they get the square. And new to The Hollywood Squares, we have cash amounts on the board. When you select a square, we'll reveal the cash amount between $250 all the way up to $1,000. If you get the answer right, we'll give you the cash and the square. Be careful... because if you give me a wrong answer, your opponent will get the cash and the square. We'll continue playing this portion until we hear the time's up bell. However is in the lead at the end of this portion will be playing the Super Match for a chance to win as much as $100,000. (cheers and applause)Round 1 is worth $1,000. Lenny... since you're the champ, you'll be going first. Whenever you're ready, please pick a square.

Wedding anniversary heck, the leather came out on our first date!
All that means is I pulled out my leather wallet and paid for our dinner (chuckling)
Leather represents durability, and so often there's that "7 year itch" reference, which is why leather is the 7 year anniversary.
