February 22nd will be the one year anniversary of "Three on a Match", which I started back at the old site!
Michael, Matt and Mark, I am in the process of creating the boards, questions, visuals and also getting announcer copy for the various prizes for this episode.
Once I have all of that in place, I will provide you with further instructions as well as any rule changes.
Looking forward to it!
Bill

As soon as Michael, Matt and Mark submit to me via private message ten buzz codes from 01-99 (inclusive), we will begin this episode.
Complete rules are under the "Announcements" section.
Here are the changes I have made for this episode.
Before I post them, just a reminder again that on the matching board, the same 4 prizes or items will appear three times, but only once per column
Revised rules listed below:
QUESTION ROUND (SEGMENT 2 and SEGMENT 3)
Prior to the show, contestants will submit ten codes ranging from 1 - 99, inclusive, via private message to yours truly. If there is a tie with buzz codes, they will be disregarded and the next set of buzz codes will be used instead. To determine which player gets first chance at answering the question, the board will show "Low" "Middle" and "High" These will appear randomly after all 3 buzz codes are revealed on the player podiums. If "Low" appears first, the player with the lowest buzz code gets first crack at the question. If "Middle" appears first, the player whose code is in the middle will go first. If "High" appears first, the player whose code is the highest will get to answer the question first.
A category is given and four answers are revealed. One answer does not belong. If the player in control can correctly identify the wrong answer, they will earn 2 picks of the money cards before going to the matching board.
If the first player is wrong, control goes to the next player, and if they can identify the wrong answer, they earn 1 pick. If the second player is also wrong, the third player will try to eliminate the wrong answer. If so, they earn 1 money card pick.
A correct answer earns that player a trip to the big colorful matching board to try to win more score money plus instant prizes now too!
SAMPLE QUESTION:
CATEGORY - "Star Trek" Original Series Main Characters A. Lt. Worf B. Mr. Scott C. Mr. Sulu D. Lt. Uhura
The correct answer in this case would be A. Lt. Worf, since he did not appear in the original 1960s "Star Trek" series. The other 3 answers match that category.
For the first 2 question rounds, the money cards will be: $300, $200, $150, $100 and $50. For the last 2 question rounds, the money cards will be: $300, $200, $150, $100 and REPLAY.
As before, a maximum of 7 picks are given to the player to find a match. The faster a match is made, the more score money is won.
A reminder - The board will have a theme to it each time (e.g. musical instruments, hats, card suits, Hollywood legends, fruit, outer space, animals, etc.).
Each column contains 4 boxes marked "Red", "Green", "Yellow" and "Blue". Each box has a different item. This is true for all three columns.
To achieve a Three on a Match, a player must uncover the same item in all three columns.
Using card suits as an example, there will be one club in the 20 column, one club in the 30 column and one club in the 40 column. This will also be true for hearts, spades and diamonds too.
As always, the "No Match" card will replace one symbol in one of the three columns.
Hidden behind 1 box in each of the other two columns is a card marked "Turnover?". If a "Turnover?" is selected, the player will select "Top" or "Bottom".
If the player selects "No", then their turn continues, and the symbol/picture for that box is then revealed. If the player selects "Yes", then their turn is over, and control of the board goes to the player in last place. If the money score is tied, control will go to player next closest with the buzz code. The next player has the option to keep the box chosen, revealing the symbol behind it, or select another box.
***SPECIAL NOTE*** - If a player loses control of the board, and there are not enough picks remaining for a match to be made, that trip to the board ends.
Two of the boxes will contain "Instant Prize" cards during the first 2 question rounds. If selected, the player wins a prize immediately and gets to keep it regardless of the outcome of the game. Any and all prize totals do not affect the score of the main game itself.

Thank you James. Tell you what we'll do. If Matt, Michael or Mark wish to "sit out" of this episode, I'll have you play in episode 9. If all three of them wish to participate in episode 9, I would be most pleased and honored to have you for episode #10.
Matt, Michael or Mark, would one of you want to give up your seat for James? If so, whoever does so would be invited back for episode #10. Otherwise, James you will be first on the "waiting list" for the 10th episode.
Thanks!

Bill, if I remember correctly, it takes two losses before you're out on this show. So I'll play this episode as normal, and should I lose, James can take my place for episode ten due to a hockey tournament I have in two months. That said, I will give you my buzzcodes shortly

You do remember correctly Mark, and actually you have zero losses as you pinch hit at the last possible moment for Leaf on the last episode I shall be on the lookout for your codes.

Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): Michael Clifford…, Matt Riggenberg…, and Mark Liotta… Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): If your first three picks match, you will win top dollar, plus the instant match jackpot which today is valued at... Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): $3,300 in cash and prizes! Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): It's the Emmy Award Winning "Three on a Match"! Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): And now, from the Bill Cullen Theatre at Rockefeller Center, New York... Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): here is your host... Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): Bill McDee! That's me! (cheering & applause) (knocking on the wall behind me)... I bring to you pleasant greetings and salutations, and we are most proud and pleased to be presenting you another installment of "Three on a Match" here on the peacock network, NBC Daytime. Other than my beloved Mother Mary Ellen, who incidentally adored Bill Cullen, and my beloved Father, after whom I am named, and my equally beloved grandmothers, Bill Cullen was in my living room more often than most anybody else. And in spite of the fact that Bill was the "Dean" of game show hosts, he won only one Emmy Award. That was back in 1973, before there was a separate Daytime Emmy program, and Bill won the Emmy for best emcee. And we have that Emmy Award here in studio with us now, under the protective guard of our very own, Frank Caliendo! Frank, the announcer's booth is a veritable shrine to the "Three on a Match" forefathers. I wonder if we can perhaps have camera 2 get a shot of Frank and his booth. Frank - As you can see Bill, I have a face made for radio! (audience chuckles) Bill (off camera) - That makes two of us my friend. But seriously, the resemblance between you and young Don Pardo is uncanny! Wouldn't you agree audience? (applause) Frank - We have 2 nice pictures here, one of Don from the very early days of his long-tenured NBC career, and one of Don on the set of "Saturday Night Live". Also above me, a photo of Bill and the boss man himself, Bob Stewart, creator of "Three on a Match". And right beside me is the Emmy Bill won back in 1973. And if I may just take a moment more, on a personal note, just a few weeks after I took over announcing here, I received a really nice letter from Don Pardo. "Dear Frank, They say "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." To that end, I am extremely flattered by your impersonation and equally impressed with your announcing skills. May you continue to entertain audiences even longer than my career lasted. Very truly yours, Don Pardo" (applause) Bill - Well that is very touching Frank, and the sentiments in Don's letter to you are most certainly spot on! (clearing my throat)... Bill Cullen, Don Pardo and Bob Stewart, each and every episode of "Three on a Match" is dedicated to your memory! Speaking of memory, on our last program, all three of these fine contestants appeared with us, and are back to do business with us again. To my immediate right, stage left to you viewing out there, Mark Liotta is back with us. Mark, you were kind enough to substitute for Leaf Apollo, who was unable to complete his appearance on our last show. To that end, you are not penalized with a loss, and both you and he picked up $725 in cash winnings on our last program. As a result of your last minute substitution, we didn't get to find out about you. Tell us the Mark Liotta story if you would be so kind.

I'll be happy to, Bill. I am 27 years old, and I perform black light theater in Toronto with the Famous People Players. We just started a new production a few days ago that I am starring in, and hopefully I can share some winnings with my fellow cast members

That is actually not possible to do since our theater does not allow recording of the show while it's in progress.

That would stand to reason. I wish you many years of success with that endeavor Mark, and lots more success here today too! Second, we have Matt Ringgenberg. Matt won two days ago, lost yesterday, but he is back with an incredible total, cash and prizes adding up to... $48,175! (cheers & applause). $40,000 of that came from a Bonus Bucks win too. Matt, you have one loss against you thus far. We'll see if you can win today and stick around and have a second trip to the Bonus Bucks board! Finally, our current champion, also with one loss, winning $18,275 in cash and prizes is Michael Clifford! (cheers and applause) Before we embark upon the "Free Play" round, we're adding another $1,000 in cash to the Instant Match Jackpot. The first player to make an instant match will win it. We now have $2,000 in cash in it, plus designer sunglasses, and here's Frank to tell you about the prize we're adding to it today...Frank? (original "Three on a Match" theme plays) Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): Today we are adding to the instant match jackpot, camping equipment! Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): From Coleman, it's the ultimate camping bundle, get everything you need for your next visit to the great outdoors! Retail value, $675. Now it's time to begin our "Free Play" round. Players, each of you will get to play one matching board. The "No Match" cards and "Turn Over?" cards are out of play during this round. Michael, as current champion, you get to go first. Each box in the 20 column has a prize. Those 4 prizes also appear once in the 30 column, and once in the 40 column. Each of you will get a maximum of 7 picks to find a Three on a Match. The first prize that you match 3 times will be yours to keep. The prize value does not affect the score of the game itself. However, the faster you make a match, the more money you will score, and that's important because the player with the highest score at the end of today's match will go on to play our Bonus Bucks end game, and that could be worth up to $100,000 in cash plus a brand new automobile! (audience oohs and ahhs). If you make a match quickly and have enough picks remaining, you can continue playing and try to find a second match as well, and double your score. Also, there is a "Bonus Match" card somewhere in the 30 column. That will be revealed at the end of your turn, and only if you made a match of course. If that bonus is attached to the first prize you matched, we'll add $500 to your score, so you can win up to 2 prizes and $2,000 in score money right here in this opening round alone! One last reminder players, you may only expose a maximum of three boxes in any given column. If there are no questions, Michael, the Free Play board is yours, start us off by selecting two boxes. Please select them by giving me a column number followed by a color.

20 on the Blue... (flip) (flip) (box not moving) (I walk over to the big board) Let me give this a little help here... (push...flip) (the audience cheers my apparent show of strength, then moans realizing it is the 4th different prize) Well, no chance to double your money with a second match, however, you can still pick up $375 and a possible $500 bonus. The next box you pick WILL match one of these prizes. You have one pick available left to you in column 20, two picks still available to you in the 30 and 40 columns Michael. Where to now?

For a match... (flip) There it is! (applause) So $375 for making a match in 6 picks. Now, focus on that 30 on the Blue square and let's see if that $500 bonus is attached to it. (flip) (audience sighs) No. However, you do have for yourself a Netflix package Michael, which we'll hear about at the end of the round. That goes up on the newly installed prize ledger above you, and that prize is yours to keep, no matter what. Again, the prize values do not affect the score of the game itself. That $375 is score money, and that too is yours to keep no matter what. Now we move onto Matt who has already won a bundle. I'm not 100% certain but I believe Matt, you may be the second highest money winner behind Jon Darrell for this first season. Matt, the Free Play board is all reshuffled now for you, please start off by selecting two boxes...
