You can freeze if you wish, but if someone scores higher than you, they win the round. Also, in this version of Top Card, aces count as 1 or 11. Otherwise, if both of you fail to get to 21, Kevin goes to the championship round. According to the rules, should a challenger freeze in the first round, the champion picks the next category. Marc, if you miss another deadline in this round, I will presume that you have forfeited, and an alternative player may replace you.Clément, control passes to you. Well, here is the situation. Marc has missed his second deadline. This, sadly, means that he has automatically forfeited the game. Kevin, and Clément will immediately advance to the Championship Round. Kevin and Clément will be awarded $1000 each.
Some of you may say "well, what if they were to have a blackjack"? With the remaining questions, Clément answered only one of them correctly. Therefore, it was not possible for him to get a blackjack.
When we return to Top Card, we will return in the Championship Round.

(...we now rejoin our regularly scheduled program already in progress) Me: Welcome back to Top Card! We have Kevin and Clément here in the Championship Round. One of you will advance to the bonus round at the end of this game, while the other will be leaving us. I do want to announce that the Grand Slam bonus in the bonus round got even bigger. Previously, if any contestant managed to get a blackjack from the board without taking the top card in the bonus round, then the contestant won every single prize on that board plus the car. Starting with this episode, should a contestant accomplish that feat, they not only win all the prizes and the car, but they will also win what, Dan? (Aussie SOTC cash jackpot fanfare) Dan: A cash jackpot of TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS!! ( Audience oohs) Me: That is something definitely to shoot for. We won't know who will be eligible to play for all that loot until someone wins this game. Hands on plungers, please. Which is bigger? A yottametre or a yoctometre? (BC: 24)
