Clément: Bird Me: No, that's not right. Kevin, do you want to try this? (3 seconds elapses, BUZZ) (He actually said "bird" too) Out of time. The answer was a beetle. Clément, please select a new category by Wednesday 11:59:59 PM EST.

Me: Oooooh, that's wrong. Kevin, it's all yours. Kevin: Two. ( applause) Me: Yes, that is right. The number you're looking for is 10....or the letter A.... It's a TEN! ( Cheers) Kevin, you want the 10 or the top card? (Audience yells a certain suggestion) Please decide by 11:59:59 PM EST Wednesday.

Me: There's igneous, and there's sedimentary, and there's classic rock. Leslie: Don't quit your day job. ( Laughter from audience) Me: (rolls eyes) Everyone's a critic. Anyhoo, this question's for the both of you. What rock star's wake was enlivened by a Grateful Dead performance in 1970? (BC:87)Kevin: 33 Clément: 98 ( DING!) Me: Clément? Clément: Jimi Hendrix Me: No! Kevin, wanna take a guess? Kevin: That was my guess. ( BUZZ) Me: Well, Jimi Hendrix wasn't a bad guess. He died in 1970, but so did Janis Joplin. ( Groans from Audience) Janis Joplin was right. Again, no card. Kevin, pick another category, please. Please decide by 11:59:59 PM EST Thursday.

Hands on plungers. Rook, Queen, or Bishop: Which chess piece cannot move in straight lines? (BC:29)Kevin: 83 Clément: 24 ( DING!) Me: This time, it's Clément Clément: The bishop. ( applause) Me: Whoohoo! Another correct answer! Being this is a chess related question, wouldn't it be funny if a queen popped up? ( Laughs and applause) Wouldn't it also great if everyone found a home copy of Top Card under their seats? ( Cheers) Yes, everyone's going home with the Deluxe Edition of Top Card from Smilton Gradley! Anyhoo, Clément, keep the queen or exchange it for the top card? (Audience yells a certain suggestion) Please decide by 11:59:59 PM EST Friday, Clément.

You are now tied at 10 a piece. As for Sounding off... Can you hear me now? If so, put your hands on your plungers. What is 1/10 of a bel called? (BC: 62)Kevin: 20 Clément: 63 (DING!) Me: Clément Clément: A decibel (Applause) If that card is an ace, then we'll be hearing lots of decibels from the audience... (Audience oooohs) It's a nine. What's your pleasure, the nine or the top card? Please choose by 11:59:59 PM EST Friday.

(Pic is fixed; thanks for letting me know.)
( scattered applause, freeze sound effect) Clément has just put his championship on the line here. He thinks Kevin will not get a 20 or 21. Kevin, I can safely say that it is still possible for you to win. You have four categories, four chances to get a 20 or 21. Do so, and you'll be our new champion. Otherwise, Clément retains his title and goes for his third attempt at the bonus round. Kevin, please choose your next category by 11:59:59 PM EST Saturday, or Clément wins by default.

Me: Of course, Kevin, no buzz-in is required as it's only you answering it. What Filipino thwarted seven right wing coup attempts between 1986 and 1992?
Kevin: Ferdinand Marcos.
Me: Sorry, that's not correct. The correct answer was Corazon Aquino. That's okay. There are three categories left; Jazzy Places, Food & Drink, and Country Music Hits. Which one is next?
Kevin, please choose your next category by 11:59:59 PM EST Monday, or Clément wins by default.

Me: "I Will Always Love You"; "9 to 5" or "Coat of Many Colors", according to tasteofcountry.com, which song of Dolly Parton's did they rank #1? Kevin: "I Will Always Love You" (Applause) Me: That's right. Though I do love her "9 to 5". Though 10 to Ace would be perfect for you to become a new champion. Let's see the card. (Audience expresses worry) Me: Ohhh....it's a nine. You cannot tie Clément. If you take the nine, you will need an ace or deuce to win. You can instead take the top card and see how it goes. What's your decision, Kevin? Please decide by 11:59:59 PM EST Monday.

Not taking the nine, what do you have Leslie? He hopes it's an ace... Leslie: Sorry...... (Major Groans) Me: It's not an ace, but you're still in it. You need a 2 or 3 to win. Where to next, Jazzy places or Foof & Drink?

Down to the wire! (Tension from the audience) Quiet, please! In the category of food and drink: What food was officially launched at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, the year French's mustard was first sold?Kevin: The hot dog. (Applause) Me: Yes it is. Now you can find hot dogs with sauce, ketchup, relish, cheese, and even coleslaw. But, what is important now is what we find under this category. (Audience expresses disapproval) That will bust you, so you have no choice but to take the top card. Leslie, what's in the cards? Leslie: Sorry, Kevin. I don't think it was meant to be. (Classic Concentration Big Buzzer, Clément's fans scream in excitement, applause, theme starts) Me: That's 25 and bust! That's too bad, Kevin. Clément! You're going to the bonus round! (Leslie and I walk to the contestant podiums) Me: Kevin, we must say good-bye to you. However, you will be leaving us with $1000 in cash and our thanks for being here. It was a pleasure having you. (Applause as Kevin walks off with Leslie) Clément, this is your third win. (cheers from audience) $2000 from today so far brings you up to $12,149. Remember, we now have the grand slam jackpot in the bonus round. If you get a blackjack directly from the board, you win all the prizes on the board, the car, AND $25,000 in cold hard cash! We'll see if you have what it takes in a few moments. After these words, we'll see if Clément can win it all! Don't go away!

(Cold open)
It's bonus round time again! Clément, you have won a grand total of over $12,000 in cash and prizes. In a moment, you'll see what car you will play for. A reminder of the rules:
The object is once again get to 21 without going bust with four cards or fewer. On this board are various prizes; behind each prize is a card. As is before, you have the choice of keeping the card behind the prize or exchanging it for the top card. If you bust or find the Joker, then the game is over and you lose all of today's bonus round prizes. At any time you may elect to freeze and keep the prizes accrued from the board. However, if you get exactly 21, then you will win one of these cars:
(car music plays)
Dan: You could win one of these five brand new Toyotas! (woos from audience) It could be the $52,000 Sequoia SUV, the $30,000 Venza crossover, the $26,000 Tacoma truck, the $18,000 Corolla compact, or the $27,000 Camry midsize sedan.
Me: As an added wrinkle, if you get a blackjack from the 10 and ace off the board, you will win the Grand Slam bonus of all the prizes on the board, the car, and $25,000 cash (Whistles and cheers) At this time, Clément, choose an envelope from 1-5 out of Leslie's hands.

It comes equipped with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine; 6 speed automatic transmission, power moonroof, and entune premium audio w/ navigation. Furnished by Fannin Automotive Family. This car is worth: Me: Good luck, Clément. Here is the board of prizes. Which prize would you like first? (Audience yells out suggestions)

Me: Dan, tell us all about this wonderful prize. (Laughter from the audience) Dan: Sure will, Joe. It's a fishbowl filled with $980 in cold hard cash! (Applause) Me: Well, can't get any more descriptive than that, can we? Let's see what you could possibly start off with: (Cheers from audience) Right off the bat, it's an ACE! I'm sure you DON'T want the top card, but I have to ask you. Keep it and try for over $66,000 in cash and prizes, or take the top card? (Audience yells "KEEP IT!!!!!")
