Safety is correct for $50 and 30 points. I interpret by playing another "board" that you mean another puzzle, since 130 points isn't a whole lot to spend at the matching board 40 point puzzle... _____ FLYTRAP _____ WILLIAMS _____ DE MILO (ding) John is in first and has until 5:50am EST on Sunday, August 18th to reply with the correct answer, and also to state if he wishes to play another puzzle or go to the board.

You are, and we shall. $50 for that solve, John with 140 points banked and Kourtney with 130. This will be a 50 point puzzle, this time only two blanks... What word matches up with these three words players? _______ CRISIS STOLEN SECRET _______ (ding) John is first to ring in again. John, you have until 6:35pm EST on Sunday, August 18th to give me the correct answer and also your decision.

Kourtney, if you can solve it, you'll score those 50 points, which would bring you up to 180 points.
You have until 4am EST on Monday, August 19th to come up with the answer and also to tell me if you wish to go to the board or to play another puzzle.

The answer was "IDENTITY" Identity Crisis, Stolen Identity, Secret Identity e.g. Bruce Wayne/Batman... That's okay... Let's move on to a 60 point puzzle.... This time only one blank... BLACK _____ KNIFE NICHOLSON (ding) John is once again faster on the button. John, you have until Monday, August 19th at 5:15am to give your answer and to tell me if you wish to go to the board with 200 points or play another puzzle.

You DO know Jack, that is correct! (applause) $50 more so you have $200 and coincidentally 200 points... At the big board now... $1,100 if you make an instant match, if you make a match in 5 picks or less you'll win the ping pong set as well...and one of these 12 boxes has a "ONE FREE BOX" bonus attached to it, but only during the first three picks. Where do we begin this time John?

20 on the Green... (flip) This board will be worth at least $400 to somebody... And behind that we have... (flip) A tuba. Musical instruments is the theme of this board. Let's see if John can win that $1,100 Instant Match Jackpot. 180 points left to spend, where to next John?

Hoping for another Tuba there... 30 on the Yellow... (flip) No, that's a harp...Instant Match Jackpot grows to $1,150. 150 points remaining John, last chance to find the "ONE FREE BOX" card. Where to now?

40 on the red....

Post by billmcdee on Aug 17, 2019 22:36:32 GMT -5
40 on the Red please... (flip) The bad news is the "One Free Box" card is now out of play, the good news however is you have a pair of Tubas on the board, and still 110 points to spend John. Also if you make a match in the next two picks, you'll win the $400 and the prize too. Where to now John?

Post by billmcdee on Aug 18, 2019 0:13:56 GMT -5
For a match and a tie game... 30 on the Blue? (flip) (gasps in the audience).... No, a Violin there. Couple things I want to point out John, you can either try to spend 60 more points by taking a box from the 20 and 40 columns, or you can hope that you'll find that third tuba in the 30 column. If you go for the 30 column and find that last tuba, you'll win $400 plus the prize. If you take a box in the 30 column and don't uncover the tuba, you'll have only 50 points remaining and that won't be enough to achieve 3 on a match, and Kourtney will win the board and win game 1 of the match. How will you play it John?

For $400, the prize, and a tie game, 40 on the Green? (flip) By Jove you've done it! (applause) Another $400 in cash plus the $700 ping pong set prize...that Tuba was worth $1,100 in cash and prizes to you there champ! And I'll say to you what I said to my waitress last week, when she asked how I wanted my steak prepared, I replied "Well done!" Since each player has won one board, and it takes two to win a game, we'll have to play a tie-breaking board contestants. And as such, the Clean Sweep Jackpot has grown to $3,500 for tomorrow's show. John, since you forced the tie-breaker situation, you will get to bid first as to how few boxes you believe you will need to make three on a match this time. The board will have $300, $350, $400 and $500 money cards in each column this time, and the "NO MATCH" card will NOT be in play, so keep that in mind when you make your bids. John, you bid first, you may bid anywhere from 3 to 7 picks, and then I'll ask Kourtney if he wishes to bid lower or if he wishes to challenge you. Bidding will volley back and forth until one player challenges the other, or until one of you bids the minimum bid of 3 picks. John, how many picks do you bid?

I'll go for 5.

Oh boy...
Kourtney, do you want to bid lower, or do you challenge John to make a match in just 5 picks?
