Well friends, a few changes in store for this second episode.
The word puzzles are still being played, however now they will be worth various amounts of points.
Players will have to decide if they want to continue trying to bank up more points before going to the matching board, so a lot of strategy involved.
Also, prizes could be won during the first two games of the match. I was going to have a grand prize awarded for a match win, but have decided at this time against that, instead I may include those as possible prizes during match play.
Best two game out of three match now.
I need an eager challenger to take on champion John Bergman.

Wonderful to have you on board Kourtney.
At this time I would like to ask you and John to submit twenty buzz codes to me via private message.
Buzz codes all should be higher than 0 but lower than 101.
I will explain more about the word puzzle changes when the game commences.

Well, I am from Valdosta, Georgia. I am also a cashier but at a national sandwich chain as well. I like to learn about different languages, journaling, reading different books and collecting Pens and cigar boxes.

Cigar boxes aye? Say Frank, do we have any old White Owl boxes in the back? Very interesting hobby to say the least. John and Kourtney, both cashiers, both accustomed to collecting cash, and that's just what they intend to do here today as well. Best of luck to you both gentlemen. Behold our game board... Hidden up there are various pictures that apply to certain categories. This board is devoted to suits of cards. Each column contains a heart, a club, a diamond and a spade somewhere. Even I do not yet know where they are as they are up there in a totally random shuffle. You want to earn control of this board to try to make matches and win cash. You could also win a very nice prize as well during this first round of play. The first player to make a match in 5 picks or less during this first game of our match will take home this prize...Frank, IS it a cigar box? FRANK CALIENDO: (chuckling, then going into Don Pardo imitation mode): No Bill, however...from Barrington Billiards, it's this Table Tennis set... Easy to assemble, this Barrington Fremont collection table tennis table requires no tools for assembly and can be put together in minutes. Each set includes easy to follow step by step instructions guiding you through the process of assembly and teardown. This solid wood ping pong table is by the Barrington Fremont collection, and are proud to offer you this deluxe wooden ping pong table set. And this can be yours if...the Price is Right......oh wait, wrong show! Retail value... Seven-Hundred dollars, take it away Bill! (applause) (Chuckling) Everybody's a comedian! Okay, first off, at the start of each board, we give our players 100 points... And they will earn more points by correctly solving a series of word puzzles. All word puzzles contain three words or phrases and all three have one word or phrase that matches up with them. For example... if the board read YANKEES, METS and BROOKLYN (some cheers in the audience)....the Answer would of course be NEW YORK. Puzzles start at 30 points, and increase to 40, 50, 60 and finally 70 points. The lower point puzzles are easier, but will become slightly and progressively harder. Now then, as soon as you score points and add them to your 100, you will have the choice to either spend those points at the board, or try to build up your score. You want to have enough points to spend at the big board to achieve three on a match, but at the same time, you don't want to run the risk of your opponent beating you to the board, so some strategy is involved here now... Our first puzzle is 30 points. I will show you three words or phrases with blanks. I also will tell you the first letter of the correct answer... For 30 points we want to know, what "D" fills in the following blanks? BLANK Fairbanks Junior.....Kirk BLANK and BLANK MacArthur.... (ding) John, you are in first. You have until 7:10pm EST on Thursday, August 8th to come up with the correct answer to earn 30 points. If you are wrong, or if time expires, Kourtney will then be given a chance to solve it to earn those 30 points.

Is right for 30 points. (applause) $50 for every correct answer, and more importantly, 30 points. You are up to 130 points John. Do you want to take a chance at the matching board yet or try to build up your point total? Keep in mind players, if you elect to go to the board and fail to achieve 3 on a match, your opponent will automatically win that board, and it is the first player to win 2 boards who wins game #1.

Can't say as I blame you there John. Now we'll look at a 40 point puzzle. This time you'll see three words or phrases with blanks either before or after them, but I will NOT tell you what letter the word begins with. If we play a 50 point puzzle, only two of the three words or phrases will have a blank. All 60 point puzzles will have only one blank beside one of the words and all 70 point puzzles will have NO blanks whatsoever, so the puzzles will become progressively more difficult as we go on. Let's have a look at our 40 point puzzle... SELTZER __________ ________ FALL ________ MELON (ding) John was first to ring in again. Get this right and you'll have 170 points John. *****(((((ATTENTION)))))***** Players, in addition to giving your answers, please also indicate if you wish to go to the board, or if you want to play another puzzle. I'd like for you to do this in an effort to save some time please Thank you.... So John please provide your answer AND let me know if you want to take 170 points to the matching board or see another puzzle. You have until 6:15am EST on Sunday, August 11th to do so.

Oh boy! (applause) $50 for solving that puzzle, and John is taking 170 points to spend at the big board, trying to achieve 3 on a match. Remember, if you achieve a match in 5 picks or fewer, the prize will be yours to keep. Achieve three on a match in just your first THREE picks and the prize plus the $1,050 Instant Match Jackpot will go to you John. If you run out of points before achieving 3 on a match, Kourtney will automatically win this board by default. John, you have 170 points to spend here at the big board, use them wisely and good luck.

One other new added feature to our game board is the "ONE FREE BOX" card, and it will be attached to one of the boxes containing a picture.
It stays in play during the first three picks at the board only.
Also now the first box selected with a cash amount attached to it will become the value of the board.
And as always, one of the 12 boxes contains that dreaded "NO MATCH" card.

Just as good a place to start as any. What is lurking behind the Pacific Northwest part of our board this time? (flip) $375 is the value of this board, and we know it's a safe pick... (flip) Card suits this time up on the board. I assume that's what it is as opposed to organs. 150 points left. If there is a heart to be had in the 30 and 40 columns John, and if you find them on your very next two picks, you won't win $375, rather you'll win the instant match jackpot which current is $1,050. Where to now?

All,
Due to yet MORE "Strong storms" being forecast for the Delaware Valley area (lucky us), I'm fully anticipating that we will once again lose power in our home some time tomorrow, Tuesday, August 13th, and Lord knows when it will be restored again.
I am hoping and praying I am wrong, but I wanted to put this out to you all just in case I suddenly "vanish" for a few days.

30 on the Green please... (flip) A second heart. 50 points left John. You could either try to find the last heart in the 40 column with one pick, or choose a 20 and a 30 box to try to go for three clubs. Your decision as always, how do you play it?

Incidentally, if there is a heart under 40 on the Green, in addition to winning the board and cash John, you will also win that prize too. 40 on the Green for a 3 heart Match? (flip) (groans) And with only 10 points left, there is nothing more you can do, but it was a good try John, but the $375 and the board are awarded to Kourtney. (applause) Probably the easiest 375 bucks you ever made! The light goes on under GAME 1 on Kourtney's desk, but it takes two board to win a game, and it takes 2 games to win the match, so there's a lot more gameplay coming up. We'll take a quick time out here, and we'll see who wins game #1 of this best two out of three match, right here at Three on a Match... Back in a moment!

(applause) Hello, nice to see you again! Now we're going to see what today's winner might take home, Frank? Frank Caliendo (as Don Pardo): It's a brand new SUV!!! (applause) Frank Caliendo: All new for 2020, this four door Kia Sportage... Refreshed for 2020, the Sportage combines rugged capability with advanced technology...and can be yours today... Retail value of this prize... $25,000! (applause) Okay back to you Bill! Much obliged Frank! There's a new way for that automobile to be won today, and when we get to that point, I'll explain how. In the meantime, the Instant Match Jackpot currently stands at $1,100, and the Clean Sweep Jackpot is at $3,000. Kourtney won the first board by default today, and it takes two boards to win one game. It then takes two games to win the match. If any player wins 4 boards to zero, that is now how the Clean Sweep Jackpot can be claimed. If it is not won today, it will grow to $3,500 for our next show. A quick recap shows our current champion John has $100 and no boards so far, while Kourtney Wilson our newcomer has 1 board won and $375 thus far. Any and all cash and prizes our players win in the front game will be theirs to keep, regardless of the outcome of the match. The winner of this first game will play a new special mini-bonus game for a chance at $1,500...I'll explain that too when we get to it. For now let us re-stake our players with 100 points each please... Now then, for 30 points, here is your first puzzle players... It begins with an "S"... _____ PIN FREE ______ _____ BELT (ding) Kourtney, you're first to ring in this time. You have until 5:45pm EST on Saturday, August 17th to answer, and also to tell me if you wish to go to the board or to play another puzzle. If a player neglects to state if they wish to play another puzzle or go to the matching board, another puzzle will be played automatically. Once a player gets to 250 points however, they will be required to go to the board, as that is the maximum number of points allowed to take to the big board.
