40 on the Green for $500 and a match win? (flip) (gasps & groans) One last pick remaining John. You can either try to match up the $400 in the 20 column, giving you a 1 in 3 chance, or you can try for the $500 in the 40 column where it's a 50/50 chance.

Frank Sartori, you are taking home some nice parting gifts as well as $1,050 in cash. Thank you for making this opening episode a thriller! (applause) Welcome back folks. We just crowned John Bergman our new Three on a Match champion. $3,625 you have won John, and that is safe. This Bonus Match game contains three possible boards, and I'll explain each one if and when we get to them. To start off, this is your first trip to the bonus board. The rules state you can play the bonus board a maximum of 5 times. Let's have a look at it now... First off, let me say that in each column somewhere there is a clover, a horseshoe, a diamond, and a strike. If you match 3 strikes first, the game instantly ends and you win no bonus money, but your $3,600 plus you won from the front game is safe from harm here. You will have a maximum of 7 picks to try to match three of the lucky symbols, either 3 clovers, three horseshoes...which is why you may see a horse in Central Park walking around with a slight limp...or 3 diamonds. If you make a match of one of the lucky symbols in 4 to 7 picks, you will have the chance to play a second board to earn bonus cash. With every safe pick here on our board, you will earn cash, anywhere from $100 to $1,000 which is going to appear at random and be deposited into the bank that you see in the upper right of the board. Now then, should you get an instant match, either 3 clovers, 3 horseshoes or 3 diamonds in your very first 3 picks, that's an instant win and you will win $50,000!!! (Many cheers & loud applause) One other thing to keep in mind John, should you select a strike, you will be forced on your very next pick only to choose a box from one of the remaining columns that does not yet have a strike in it. It's a lot to digest but I will re-explain it as we go along. I should point out too by the way, every single board we play, the cards are shuffled and hidden at random, so that even I, your humble host, do not know where things are hidden until they are revealed. John, if you haven't any questions at this stage, I would request you select your first box, and very best of luck as you try to match 3 lucky symbols...

20 on the Blue has... (flip) $550, so it's safe! If you hit a strike, IT will come up right away, no money cards attached to those. What is attached to this $550 card? (flip) John, you have $550 presently, nothing at risk thus far. Six picks remaining. If you can find the clover in the 30 and 40 columns in your next 2 picks though, you'll win $50,000! Which box next John?

Is 30 on the Green a strike? (flip) No it isn't. Another safe pick. Oh let's hope there's another clover attached to that $500 money card... (flip) (some groans in the audience)....Well the $50,000 is out of play today John. If you make it back here again tomorrow, your instant match jackpot will be worth $75,000. Meantime, you could still win up to $40,000 depending on how things play out. 5 picks remaining, no strikes against you thus far. Which box next?

40 on the Red, trying to pair up the clover or horseshoe... (flip) Ut oh! Strike 1. John, at this stage of the game, you are required on your next pick to select from the 20 or 30 column if you wish, or you can end the game right now and take the $1,050 guaranteed. If you uncover a second strike, your money will be cut in half. Do you wish to stop the game now or continue? Remember if you continue, you must select from the 20 or 30 column on this next turn.

John and audience members, I apologize, I made an error... Your next pick might result in losing half of your $1,050 bank... Here it is from the "rules digest": BUT IF THEIR LAST PICK IS EITHER STRIKE 1 OR STRIKE 2, THEY WILL LOSE HALF. STRIKE 3 AS ALWAYS LOSES EVERYTHING. If your next pick is strike 2 and you elect to end the game at that point John, you will lose half of the $1,050. So something to consider now about whether you wish to continue or not... Again a quick reminder, if you do go again to the board, you must select from either the 20 or 30 column on this turn.

Confidentially, I would have done the same exact thing. 20 on the Yellow, we do NOT want to see a second strike board... (flip) Oh boy! (applause)...One THOUSAND bucks! The biggest possible cash prize here....up to $2,050. Hoping for a second horseshoe under it... (flip) (gasps and groans) Well now you have one of each working for you and 3 picks remaining. As before John, if you wish to stop now, $2,050 is guaranteed. I would however recommend going at least once more, since you can go back to the 40 column and you KNOW it's safe and you KNOW you will pair up either a clover, a horseshoe or a diamond by picking from there. But it's your decision on how you want to play it and where you want to go next, you're the boss

Sounds like a dandy notion! 40 on the Yellow... (flip) $250 more in your bank, and... (flip) A second diamond. One more and you will have the option to go to our money board. You have 2 picks remaining John. If you try for the diamond in the 30 column and you hit the second strike, then the game would end right there and you would lose $1,150. Up to you, do you want to risk losing half, to try to win a possible $40,000?

Going for a match! (Applause) 30 on the Blue, if it's a Diamond, you'll play the money board. If it's a clover, you'll have another decision to make. If it's a strike, you will lose half your money and the game will end since you would be required to pick from the 20 column, and there's no way to achieve 30 on a match... 40 on the Blue! (flip) (buzzer) Oh rats!!! (Audience groans and boos)..... That's too bad John. You lose half the money but hey, you still wound up with $1,150 in bonus cash... You'll get to come back tomorrow and you very well may end up back here again and win $75,000, and...when we return, John will have a chance to win that Kia Sportage, so hurry back for that!

(applause) John Bergman will be back tomorrow with $4,775 in cash winnings. Now he's going to try to add $25,000 more playing our car board. John, this is your first of what could be a maximum of five trips to the car board. As this is your first try at it, you will get only 3 picks to try to win it. If you do win it today, then you win the car but still get to come back on our next program and play for another Kia. If you don't find all 3 cars in 3 picks, you will have 4 picks tomorrow if you make it back here. One car symbol is hidden in each of the columns, so select your 3 boxes at this time please John, and good luck!

Let us start with 20 on the Blue... Is there a car symbol there? (flip) No, I am sorry.
