(flip) That's it! (applause) Pity it was one pick too late, but still you win that board, and what money amount is attached to that 40 on the Blue? (flip) (applause) Another $400 added to your total Frank, takes you into 4 figure territory now... Frank leading 1 board to none in this 500 point round. Instant Match Jackpot is now at $900, and we have a new puzzle... Looking for a six letter word that matches up with... James, Marilyn and Doctrine... And it's John who is first, and who has until Friday, July 12th at 8:25pm EST to reply.

None other (applause) Marilyn Monroe will once again sooner or later be featured up on our matching board as a matter of fact. Another $50 for that correct answer... John leads 1 puzzle to zero. If he wins the next puzzle, he'll win control of the big board and have the option to take 7 picks himself or pass them to his opponent. Next puzzle, and this one is in honor of Tony Lane's hit series SPLIT SECOND.... Looking for a six letter word this time players that matches with... SPLIT, SECOND and PEEL... John you are first to signal again. (John has until 6:25am EST on Sunday, July 14th 2019 to reply).

The Instant Match Jackpot now is up to $950. Still four more picks available to you John to achieve a match, including as many as 2 more in the 40 column. What's your next move?

Let's see, how about 40 on the blue? (flip) (groans in the audience) The board has again become difficult for you John. Still, you have 3 picks remaining including one more in the 40 column to try to find that elusive third bulldog. How are you going to play it?

To force a tie-breaker board... (flip) THERE it is!!! (Cheering & applause) And that match was worth... (flip) Another $275 for you John, well done! Each player now has 1 board, but it takes two boards to win the round and the 500 points. So we'll do our tie-breaker board...while we're getting that set up, I will turn to John first since he forced this tie-breaker situation. John, you may bid as high as 8 picks or as low as 3 picks. After you bid, assuming you don't go for just 3 picks that is, I'll ask Frank if he wants to bid lower or challenge you to make a 3 on a match. I'll remind you both, during tie-breaker boards, there are $300, $350, $400 and $500 cards on the board...the NO MATCH card is out of play, so consider that with your bidding strategy. John, how few picks do you believe you need to make another 3 on a match?

|
|
Post by billmcdee on Jul 16, 2019 17:10:38 GMT -5
Also before you bid John, I'd like to add that if there is an instant match during a tie-breaker board, then instead of the cash award on the board being won, the Instant Match Jackpot would be won instead, and it is now $50 shy of a thousand bucks.
John, your bid please.

Six picks.

Post by billmcdee on Jul 17, 2019 4:34:13 GMT -5
Frank, John bid six picks to achieve a match. You can either bid lower by bidding 3, 4 or 5, or you can challenge John right now.
What's your decision Frank?

I'm feeling risky, so I'll challenge John.

Frank has made the call John. Six picks to try to make a match and win the round... Six picks to make a match. Remember, nothing but cash up behind every box now, the NO MATCH card is not in play here John.
