Doug: Oh that's certainly fair. Evan, we're in summertime, so we're likely not seeing new episodes. With that said, at least one series Mr. X is involved with will have new episodes in the next TV season.

Doug: So with that, six questions remain. Play on or pass?

[Twentington]

Mr. X, do any shows you’re involved with air on network television, as opposed to cable channels or premium channels?

[dougmorrisontheair]

(judge immediately rings bell several times)

Doug: The heck is this? A fire drill?

(scattered laughter) (inaudible explanation from judge)

Doug: That would be fair. Evan, you essentially combined three questions into one. Since your question started with broadcast television, we're going to have to ignore the rest of the question.

So, Mr. X, when it comes to any of your shows airing on network television, the answer is what?

Mr. X: (nods head as he says...) Yes.

Doug: So, luckily, Evan, we charge you with just one question that yielded a yes.

Panel, just a note going forward.  Any question involving specifics, please limit your question to just one specific detail or category.

With all that clarified, Evan, play on or pass?

[Twentington]

Mr. X, are you associated with a show that airs on CBS?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Mr. X: (nods head as he says...) Yes.

[Twentington]

Let's pass to Bryan - I want him to win some money.

[Bryan]

How thoughtful of you!

(laughter)

Okay, you're in reruns on CBS and not associated with comedy. Were you a star in the 80's?

[dougmorrisontheair]

(obvious edit)

Doug: Judge is really taking over the show now. (scattered laughter from crowd) Bryan, our judge says the star whose name you're looking for had one starring role in one TV movie in the 1980s. Otherwise it's a no.

[Bryan]

Has your current or previous show lasted for more than ten seasons?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Doug: Again, please don't combine more than one question into a question. Let's just focus on the current series, Mr. X.

Mr. X: (nods head) Oh yes, more than ten seasons for my current series.

[Bryan]

Do you play a medical examiner?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Mr. X: (nods head) Oh yes I do.

(scattered cheers from Brian's section)

[Bryan]

Are you David McCallum?

[dougmorrisontheair]

Mr. X: If I'm not, will you have a *duck* fit?

(scattered laughter and groans)














































Mr. X: It was one of Doug's puns -- and I *am* David McCallum!

(audience cheers)

(other panelists pass their checks to Bryan)

Doug: Way to go, Bryan. What had you thinking David McCallum?

[Bryan]

1. CBS
2. No comedy, so it had to be the opposite
3. NCIS has been on the air for more than ten, so it was a long shot.

If I may say, you and Mr. Robert Vaughn were superb in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Very fine show!

David: (laughs) Thank you.

Doug: Speaking of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", we mentioned the actor David McCallum had a starring role in a TV movie in the 1980s. Ultimately, it was a reunion movie for "U.N.C.L.E."

Doug: Evan, we're going to let you play this bonus question for $2000 -- and a chance to make it a near even money score to finish the night. Here's the question.

Doug: $2000 more for your section, Evan. Good job. Before we go to break, we must disclose we have another contestant-in-law for lack of better terminology. You married a business associate of mine from, gosh, decades ago.

David: Indeed, Molly talked about you and the early days of your radio show.

Doug: We reminisced about that *and* we also talked about "NCIS". They got married a few weeks before Season 10 started. And how often did people bring up "Ducky"?

David: If I had a quarter for every mention of Dr. Mallard, it felt like we could've easily paid for the wedding, reception *and* honeymoon.

(scattered laughter from crowd)

David: And my parents-in-law have brought up Illya Kuryakin a few times.

Doug: Not too many TV stars can boast success in the 1960s *and* the here and now. David, sorry you're not going home with 15 large. But we do have fine gifts you and the Mrs. I know will enjoy. Please tell her I said hello.

David: Will do. Fun experience.

Doug: We'll be back to find out how much money our crowd's taking home -- after this.
